This company is not an honest or honorable. I bought protection plan when I booked my tickets to Paris and back from Amsterdam back in January. I explained to my agent that my daughter just got out of hospital and I was a care taker for my Mom who has chronic heart and kidney conditions. She assured me I would have the flexibility to make the change or cancel flight. Covid 19 broke out and I was asked to not travel abroad by my mom’s nephrologist and my daughter was also at risk because of her condition. I tried cancelling and the company tried charging me $1267 in penalty fees. I told them it was unacceptable and asked to supervisor. He requested a letter from doctor and said I would be getting a refund form. When I did receive the so called “refund form” it was asking me for penalty fees. I have been trying to get a hold of the agent and she is not returning my calls or emails. This company is trying to scam more money. I spoke to other representatives in the company who told me that the only person who could help me was the travel agent, who’s not responding to me emails or phone calls. I believe the company made me buy the protection plan but never bought the insurance from the airlines. They are scammers !!! Be aware. I have requested contact info for management or owner of the company and not received any so far... I do not trust this company. I have never spent so much time and energy trying to get what I paid for and deserve. Now my flight schedule, due to Covid 19, is on hole and susceptible to change or cancel as I am traveling on June 10th. KLM is already issuing travel vouchers for customers who booked their flights before April 30th and are expected to fly through June 30th, 2020. I meet all the criteria but still the company refuses to honor the protection plan I purchased or the doctors waiver as promised. Do yourself a favor and book directly through the airlines and save time and grief and cut your losses. ASAP is a shameful company . Jules is the travel agent I dwelt with. Oakley is the customer service rep who keeps charging me unprecedented fees. Alf was the supervisor... the scheduling agents are the ones who informed me that they helped their customers but could not help me as they aren’t my agents. This is ridiculous and frustrating . No one has provided me with the owners or managements’ information.

Today is April 12th and I just started the process of trying to get a refund. I received an email from ASAP on April 11, saying there had been a change in our itinerary. Since I could not get in touch with anyone from ASAP I called Delta, and their agent told me I should get a refund because my flight was canceled. Next day I called ASAP’s contact number on email and spoke to Dreyfus @ 1 800-723-0482. He told me that I needed to call 1-800-750-2238 to speak with someone in Customer Service because he was in the Booking Department. He said he would submit a request for a refund to the claims department. I ask him to email me an overview of our conversation and to give me his contact number. He did not send me an email summarizing our conversation and he gave me a wrong number for contacting him, 1 844-807-9586. After reading others reviews, it sounds as if I am in trouble. Our tickets along with the trip protection plan was over $3,000. I feel that I am in for a fight. How hard is it to answer the phone, take your info and issue a refund? I am documenting this process. Maybe we should get together and file a class action lawsuit.
