You pick the car up from the airport and drop it back there again -easy.
Have been travelling to Algarve for the last 6 years and have rented twice with Auto Prudente. Service was always good, friendly and helpful staff, cars were clean. I recommend this company, will book with them again.

Just to add to the growing list of unhappy clients of this company. DO NOT USE THEM. I've hired thousands of vehicles all over the world and, in my opinion, Auto Prudente are one of the worst.

You are charged extra for insurance when you pick up the card, they are rude and they never release the money blocked on the car

We would like to clarify that comprehensive insurance coverage is always optional and is not mandatory to rent a vehicle. The basic insurance included in all bookings follows the terms and conditions agreed with the booking partner through which the reservation was made.
Any additional coverage, such as full protection or excess reduction, is optional and can be chosen at the time of pick-up.
Regarding the security deposit, this is a standard procedure in the car rental industry and is only a temporary pre-authorisation on the credit card. The release of the blocked amount is handled by the bank of the cardholder and not directly by Auto Prudente, which means the timing may vary depending on the banking institution.

Travelling with our 18 month old we booked car hire at Faro airport through VIP cars. The on site meet & greet was (unbeknownst to us) with auto prudente. On arrival & after making enquiries they told us our booking was cancelled. We showed them all the emails from VIP cars up until the day prior to departure including a confirmation code & online check in. Despite this they rudely stated over & over we had cancelled, and it certainly wasn't their fault. We weren't saying it was their fault - with more than one company involved it's hard to place blame. But we had shown them clear evidence we hadn't cancelled, and were simply asking for their support in finding a solution. They are clearly paid to meet clients at the airport, and we were directed to the female manager working on the 7th September at midday & I was astounded by how rude & confrontational she was. Do not book with this company

However, please note that Auto Prudente operates strictly as a local partner providing meet & greet services for confirmed reservations. In this case, the booking status is managed directly through the booking platform you used, and any cancellation or confirmation issues must be verified through that provider.
Our team at the airport can only proceed with active and valid reservations in our system. When the booking is not visible or marked as cancelled by the system, we are unable to release a vehicle.
We always aim to assist customers in finding a solution where possible, but we are dependent on the booking information provided to us by the intermediary platform.
