re AVIRA do not install this software it is malware,it is impossible to remove i have tried everything their so called support is worse than useless,i cant reinstall it i will probably have to reinstall windows and hope for the best.be warned dont install this rubbish

Will never buy again

I tried to cancel my subscription and get a refund the same day I got billed. Exactly 10 days later I receive an email that it takes more time to take care of my request???Another 2 weeks later and I still not a single word from their customer service… I will never buy anything again after more than 10 years of being a customer.

Impossible to uninstall

Impossible to uninstall. Support doesn't exist.
Unable to install an actual competent antivirus thanks to this stupid app that got me hacked anyway.

They say they want to hear more about my experiences but they ignore my messages in email and on Facebook.

Avira is good until you get a problem ...

Avira seems to be good until you get a technical problem. I have renewed my subscription in November, but in my account there is no subscription visible, even though I got a confirmation and product number. It seems that my Avira is no longer functioning. I can't open it any longer.
The Online-Chat is totally useless, you are just encouraged to upgrade. There is no Email address available. I am completely lost.

Terrible SERVICE after being bought out

Recently after being bought by Norton Lifelock, their service has been TERRIBLE! Everyone on twitter is tweeting that their 2FA does not work so everyone could not login and file tickets for their issues! Support Email for PRIME customers has weeks and months of no response already.

Customer services don’t reply to email…

Customer services don’t reply to email requests, webchat no good then the telephone response answers their own question and sends an unintelligible email!
Very poor! They forget that they work in IT and we don’t
"We work tirelessly to improve our customer service and we want to make sure you’re satisfied with the support you received.!"

Avira? May be not.

After my Avira account ended my computer become slow and couldn't open some websites. It cost me several weeks to find out what the problem was. I installed one of the best antivirua software 2022, Bitdefender. The problems where the same but after I deleted Avira complet from both computers everything became normal. It looks that when your account from Avira end they hostage your computer. :-)

Buggy

Sometimes the antivirus just crashes in background and does not notifies you about this. It just stops working and you have to restart computer for fix. And sometimes the system tray right click context menu just stops working and the only solution is reinstalling avira (repairing does not helps). And the worst problem is avira locks files the only way to unlock file is restarting. And final: the UI is really bad, very confusing for low tect people

Don't touch with a barge pole!

The 4.4 stars must be some kind of a mistake, the thing doesn't work, the customer service is unreachable, I'm waiting about two weeks for a response. I really doubt the Trustpilot can be trusted on this one.

No support or customer service

1) There is no way for a direct contact
2) no customer service to support
3) the free version can't find all viruses.
4) I have installed the pro version on my laptop, several times I applied a full scan, when it reaches to 30% of scan stopped working I tried to contact a support team but no ways.
5) I tried to call them with a phone number found in the mobile app (help section for the UK) but a lady said this for plumbing!!!
I send them request to call me through the website support section but still no one contacting me after few days.

Shady company practice

The product was fine, but not the best. I decided to cancel my subscription "screenshots taken, all cancelled". Unfortunately Avira company tries to charge my bank account almost for a month 2 to 3 times per week. I cancelled my subscription and got an email from them with to reactivate my subscription if I want, so it's clear, they are aware I cancelled. And still they're trying to charge my account. This company practice is simply shady. If they give you an option to cancel your subscription and you decide to do so, they should accept it. Shame, as I decided to try a different company for next year and I was left with a positive impact from the Avira product, I still thought I could return to them if the new one isn't good, but now the trust is gone and I will never return to this company. Good luck Avira and shame on you.

AVIRA internet security ruined my…

AVIRA internet security ruined my system. (0) stars
I was trying their month free before joining them -I decided to go for Kaspersky instead. when I deleted Avira, it let my laptop vulnerable now my whole system is messed up. I got all these malicious spammers messing with everything.
"I heard once that all antiviruses become a virus" I think this is what happened to me.
I DO NOT RECOMMENED THIS PRODUCT

I would give you a 0 if I could

I would give you a 0 if I could, auto renewel for the year when I was paying monthly, I have sent 5 emails and only got two automated replies. I am due a refund for over £80 and haven’t even had a reply

Despite not having an active…

Despite not having an active subscription, Avira messages fill my screen every time I turn my computer on. Impossible to contact them unless you have a Prime account. After about an hour, I managed to find a Complaints page. Having outlined this complaint, I was directed to a page which would put me through to a technician, for which I would have to PAY! Infuriating.

DON'T EVER BE TEMPTED BY THIS PRODUCT.

Is it possible to give minus stars? Pity. Fortunately, I only had the free version of this nasty piece of Malware. Problem one: Constant pop-up notifications, with apparently no way of turning them off. Problem two: When I decided enough was enough, I found it impossible to uninstall, at least by the conventional route. Every time I'd try, I'd get to 20% of the process complete, I'd be told it 'could not finish,' with no reason given. Finally, this morning, almost ready to abandon a perfectly good laptop just to be of this hateful product, I stumbled on an online tutorial for a free software app called IObit Uninstaller. That seems to have done the trick. All I can add is DON'T EVER BE TEMPTED BY THIS PRODUCT. It's a nightmare.

What is this

What is this?

I am paying for a monthly Avira VPN subscription and they just charged me with 8 € two days ago. And on all my devices it now says: "You don't have a premium subscription" and I cannot use the VPN that I AM paying for, I got the receipt. I was trying to sort this out with customer support and apparently there is no way of reaching them, without a subscription. Which I HAVE because I AM paying.

So how do I either get my money back or get the services that I'm paying for here?
