If Avira knows your codes for Mastercard, they collect your money without hesitation so you get 2 years instead of 1 year.

Why should I renew, when I wanted a different software?
I have never downloaded an update, and now I changed my creditcard to avoid further costs.

Well, in your case it seems that your autorenewal for your subscription is active. This is a regular behavior of a subscription that can be adjusted within your Avira account at any time. So please head up to your account, log in and change this setting if you don't want autorenewal active. Please make sure that you are using the same credentials which you've made the initial purchase.

Avria installs their software without asking which slows down your system. Very bad business practices.

refers to Avira speed up and performance optimizer (which does the contrary)

Poor way of running business

Poor way of running business. Avira just stole money from me by renewing my licens eventhough I have not used the program for years. So be careful to go to their homepage to remove the automatic renew that they set up for you when you install the program or even better find a different program for antivirus.

Very good protection

Very good protection, but personally do not like their launcher to open the Avira application. I love their AI cloud scanning and machine learning it does an excellent job. Also is quite light on the system.

If i could leave no stars I would!

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE! Had on my phone and PC. Very expensive and does not work..Multiple viruses and malware and if you sign out for any reason It will not take your password, and you will have to reset it every time...Called their customer support and they acted as if I was bothering them. Even asked to get off phone so they can go to next person, without helping at all. Sent some garbage email that had nothing to do with issue to fix, and had to call on phone again for like 45 minutes till I just gave up and decided to get a real anti virus program. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...Thank god I have HP smartfriends to get rid of all the maleware on my computer It wouldnt catch...Also eats up your battery in background of your cell phone. They wont even give me my money back!

I must say honestly ,very bad,because I have noticed that you charge
me even I don`t use avira for six month anymore!!
It was AVIRA antvirus program free of charge.6month ago I had to send my PC to the repair shop;since then I am not using AVIRA anymore.!

Its a three star for now

If Avira anti-virus could do what I expect it to do as it should do what it was made to do, than I could give it my full stamp of approval. But at the moment since it doesn't do that which is to allow premium purchase services to function on my device than I shall give it my generous half stamp of approval.

I have been this product for along time and is trustworthy

Paid for version less useful that free version

Hi, I have the paid version after having the free version. At first the VPN worked, now it cannot be used unless I pay again. Also the software undater cannt be switch of, it makes the PC unusable while it is running. The paid version should also work on my phone, but cannot get it to work. Paid version is less useful than the free version

Avoid Avira's Product Lines for Mac

The AV product works as advertised. I had no issues with it.

The Phantom VPN Pro, however, product does not work well. In fact, issues I experienced required that I uninstall the product and re-install it from the Mac App Store several times. (Yes, I ma running on a MC with OS X 10.13.6 .)

But the worst issue was the quality of support received from Avira's so-called Customer Service Engineers. I am in North America in the Mountain Time zone. I am calling before noon and the number for support of Canada and US customers connects you to Germany. I was having an issue trying to upload a file to their FTP server in support of a month-old ticket. When I reached a person on the line, I was informed not his call:

1. That he didn't have MacOs X knowledge or experience.
2. That he could not refer me to anyone at Avira with such knowledge or experience.
3. That he had neither a supervisor or manager to whom I could speak to try to get some kind of support.
4. That the purchase of license was analogous to purchase of a car. Avira could not tell me how to drive it!
5. By implication, purchase of a license from Avira did not include support and I was basically on my own.

I have never had a CSE ever speak to me in this way. He even offered a complete refund for their VPN Pro product which I gladly accepted. When I indicated that I would not want to continue with their AV Pro product, he offered to refund that as well. I have accepted both refunds.

In over 40 years of working in IT, I have never encountered support from any company...and I've used a number of them. I have certainly never purchased licenses and received such dismal support.

Consequently, I cannot recommend Avira to anyone.
