Excellent movie collection management software
About eight years ago, when my DVD/BR collection was approaching 1500 titles, I realised that my Excel sheet had become hopelessly insufficient. The spreadsheet had had a role to play when keeping track of my collection of films recorded from TV, but when presenting data on disc editions it just sucked...
After downloading and assessing almost every film collection management software I could find, I finally decided upon Collectorz.com Movie Collector. Assisted by the barcode scan capabilities and the HDD film file scan option, the formation of the database was an easy task. Since then my collection has grown to 5000+ discs. Keeping track of everything has been a walk in the park when using Collectorz.com's apps.
With a collection of a size like mine, the web version is not really of any interest. The desktop and smartphone versions however, has been proven invaluable. Syncing between the different platforms is flawless. The box set management is the best I have experienced on the market. The personalisation capabilities are almost limitless. All the apps are being developed continuously, new useful capabilitues are introduced regularly.
I use the desktop version as my "master". The smartphone is invaluable when I - being an obsessive film buff - stumble upon a garage sale or one of these stock clearance bins at a store, just to mention one example. "Do I already own this one or not, is this a better soundtrack..." and similar questions are promptly answered thanks to the app.
All my support issues have been handled to my satisfaction without any unreasonable delay.

While it took me months to input all of my CD data, it was well worth it! Now that it’s done, it’s so easy to find tracks on various artist collections, etc. And it’s so neat that I can pull different reports, then print. I also download the entire data for my insurance company. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!

I’ve only been collecting comics for a few years now and was anxious to try software that could help me keep it organized. I tried a couple other apps and was disappointed in them before discovering CLZ. I love the barcode reader and also the endless fields to keep track of is my collection grows. Keep up the good work!!!

Personal touch
I was unable to share my collection per instructions. I contacted CLZ and got as quick response. In the mean time I decided try performing the action on a different computer and it worked so I cancelled the ticket. I received a quick follow up and will provide CLZ a solution when I get around to figuring out what is wrong with my computer is having the problem. Overall, CLZ response times and communications were excellent.

this software is what a look for a long time , it brings info about the movie , concert or whatever. The code bar reader is fantastic , my work making the collection of videos was fast and secure , very good and the posibility if define a phisical location is top.

Rediscovering my youth
Collectorz.com helped me reconnect with my childhood comic book collection. After spending 25 years in boxes, Collectorz.com inspired me to go through my old collection and finally organize my most prized possessions. I was surprised to find them in such great condition and worth way more than I thought. The price was well worth it and they are always updating their products!!
The movie collectorz makes it easy to keep track of already viewed movies.
The movie collectorz program makes it very easy to catalog my movies. Many times When I shop for DVD’s, I need to check the Collectorz database to make sure I don’t buy a movie I have already viewed. This is just a thought I have. Is there any thought by your team to create a means to click on a movie listed in my Collectorz database where it can be synchronized to a playlist on a device (ie: DVD player)?
