Recent changes to Tudor Grange for worst

lately there are ongoing and consistent issues with how the centre is managed, which significantly impact the overall member experience.

In particular:
• Cancelled classes frequently have no cover arranged
• Classes remain listed on the app, only for members to arrive and find they are not running
• Sessions are advertised as one thing but delivered as something entirely different

This lack of organisation is frustrating and shows little respect for members’ time, particularly for regular attendees.

At the same time, membership fees have recently increased, despite some regular classes being removed from the timetable. It creates a clear sense of paying more while receiving less. Although feedback is regularly requested via email, there appears to be little response or accountability when concerns are raised.

Cleanliness is another concern. The centre is consistently below an acceptable standard, which undermines what is otherwise a well-located facility with good potential. More effective day-to-day management and oversight are clearly needed.

Parking also remains an issue. The rear car park frequently floods during wet weather, and at peak times it can be extremely difficult to find a space. Some members have had to park in Solihull and walk to the centre.

Previously, there were some standout staff who made a real difference. Connor was an excellent HYROX coach, and Emma’s evening and weekend combat and balance classes were a strong part of the offering. Annette on reception continues to be helpful and professional. However, with both Connor and Emma now having left, the overall quality of the experience has declined further.

Poor

This centre is in a great location and has the potential to be excellent given its facilities. However, the cleanliness and overall management are a real let-down—it is consistently very dirty.
I have continued my membership largely because of a few standout instructors, particularly Bel (an excellent tennis coach), as well as Emma, who previously ran evening and weekend combat and balance classes. I would also single out Annette on reception who is helpful.
Unfortunately, since Emma left, standards have noticeably declined.
There have been several ongoing issues:
* No cover teachers arranged for cancelled classes
* Classes still appearing on the app, only for members to arrive and find they are not running
* Bookings being taken for specific classes, but different sessions delivered instead
This is frustrating and feels disrespectful, especially to long-standing members.
To add to this, membership prices have recently increased, despite some of the regular classes I attend no longer running. It feels like I am paying more while receiving less. When raising concerns, there appears to be little accountability or response, which is disappointing. They regular send emails asking members for feedback and this seems to be ignored. The centre would benefit from stronger oversight and management.
The parking situation is also very poor. The rear car park frequently floods when it rains, and at peak times it can be extremely difficult to find a space. I know of people who have had to park in Solihull and walk to the gym.
Overall, I would strongly recommend doing a trial before committing to a long-term membership.

The receptionists were very welcoming upon arrival.
Told them what my query was. They advised the lady who was dealing with this type of query was tied up with a potential new customer and could they take my details and get back to me.
They took the details and within 30 minutes they called back to say the query had been sorted.

Zero judgement at every level. Total corporate irresponsibility.

These people have no Email address.
Their web site has no ability to send an enquiry.
99% of the decisions made by this corporate are absurd in every detail.
If you manage to get logged onto their web site, which is extremely dysfunctional in every detail, all that comes back is a cut and pasted link to their own web site. Absolutely zero attempt is made to answer a simple enquiry.
I received yet another automated corporate response to an enquiry asking me if they had answered my question. I replied that they had not by ticking a corporate box. The algorithm them informed me that someone would contact me. Of course this will never actually happen.

March 2026 great new team, right people make a positive difference

March 2026, the premises is looking so clean now and the vibe and energy has become more positive. The team here are very caring and accommodating, in particular the new Indian team member, speaks so highly of everyone active and her colleagues. Its very refreshing her actions speak louder than her words and you can see previous assistants have not been as passionate! as it shows through their work and their attitude. The property was heavily worn and layers of stains throughout is being sorted. Location is great, good parking, nice swimming pool. The gym is adequate. There is no spa.

The swimming pool and shower water are always cold. This has been for case for weeks. Nothing gets done to resolve the issue, even after customers are reporting to the receptionists. This is not fair for paying customers, children and pensioners.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service at the Hoe Valley School Everyone Active.

Girls behind the desk actively ignored and seemed to find it funny to ignore me when there earlier. Extremely disappointing and we will definitely look to block book our sessions at a different venue moving forward.

This company does not answer complaint emails. I was charged a monthly direct debit ifee ncorrectly and I cannnot get a response from them to put this matter right. I would advise anyone to be very, very careful before having anything to do with them. They are completely unhelpful when trying to get any matter resolved through their useless website.

I was looking for a clean well…

I was looking for a clean well maintained facility for Gym and Swim to train for an event I'm hoping to complete, I didn't really want to go premium so decided to try out my local leisure centre first.

On checking out the website a free day pass was available so I clicked and requested one and within minutes I got an email through with a code. Great!

Despite instructions telling you to use the app to book this - You can't actually use the app to book this.

So, wanting to swim that day I decided to book a paid swim session and went ahead anyway, scanned the barcode app to get access and had a really nice swim!

It was definitely a consideration to join on a full membership, a few hours later I got a call from a membership advisor and we discussed actually booking in for a full trial for Gym and swim using the pass, agreed that Monday was good for me and then she told me she would call in the morning to arrange, I didn't know why that couldn't be arranged on the first call but she was clear she'd call on Monday to arrange?

Over the weekend I got a "No show" email for my paid session demanding 4 pounds so I emailed the membership advisor to query? I attached screenshots of my GPS Garmin recorded swim and confirmed that I'd scanned my QR code to gain entry.

In reply she told me to speak to the enquiries team using the app?? Would it have been too much to ask for her to escalate this for me to her manager so I wasn't inconvenienced further??

I immediately did so and this morning I've essentially had an email ignoring the fact that this was clearly an IT error with no apology and a threat that if I do "no show" again I will be charged?!? Did a human even read the enquiry??

And of course the advisor didn't bother to call on Monday to book that pass day...

Genuine shame because how can you encourage "everyone active" when you place such barriers for local people to be able to use the facilities.

I've spent about an hour with this organisation trying to navigate the app, speaking to them on the phone and emailing... I could have been using that time in the gym!

In conclusion, this place isn't for anyone serious about fitness, from what I saw of the swimming pool it's really nice but it's run by a team who aren't user friendly, don't seem to care and an IT system thats half baked.

My advice - Don't deal with this organisation, they'll frustrate your fitness journey not support it.
