I want a temple cable "Dolomiti" Brand…

I want a temple cable "Dolomiti" Brand frame and I thought I could get it here. I emailed my prescription and measurements to their customerservice-at-eyeglasses.com yesterday. Today I called customer service. One younger lady with the name "Jill"(?) or so answered the phone at 3:53 pm CT. I requested her to open my email to better understand my needs. She said she couldn't do it because she had no access to it. In disbelief I asked her how a member of customer service team has no access to customer service emails and whether she could get it forwarded to her. Hesitantly she said yes, but it would be shortly before closure of business... I work in customer service myself; each customer entering during regular hours has a right to be attended to... I had enough, said thank you and wished her a pleasant evening. She hung just up on me. (She might be dreaming of quitting the job she hates soon and to get married to a rich guy. I hope for her she has the looks and is still in the right age bracket...) I need to get my "Dolomiti" somewhere else and recommend everyone to avoid this business. Their website is well designed, but customer service and attitude are poor.

My 2nd Excellent Purchase Experience

eyeglasses.com is developing with me a pattern of excellent service. So they are my 'go-to' source right now for precision vision prescriptions and reasonably priced frames.

I'm very satisfied. Appreciate the logical, uncluttered and clearly worded website. The absence of some images of certain available colors was only mildly annoying. Each available frame is generally available in only one size and requires two clicks to find out if it's YOUR size. (In my case, it often wasn't.)

Comparing different frames is a little bit tedious given the several properties each eyeglass frame has, e.g. prices, size(s), colors etc. But there's really no obvious way around that, at least at a reasonable cost, I suppose. The time I spent shopping was nonetheless worth it!

I’m a male adult with a smaller face. Found youth-sized frames in the size and colors that no other online source or my optometrist carried and that also had enough height for a progressive bifocal. Service was excellent. Very happy.

Used my out-of-network benefits by submitting my invoice online to VSP and got reimbursed in about a week. Ended up paying just $15 (the deductible) and saved $81 for high-quality frames & lenses. Best deal going! Don't buy from Zenni unless you want really low quality.

FIRST TIME ORDER

This was my first time ordering from Eyeglasses.com and I must say that their service far exceeds their competition. People actually answer the phones when customers call and the representatives are polite. They could do a little bit better as far as answering emails but overall, these representatives are far better than the ones at Coolframes or FramesDirect where rudeness and terrible service seem to be the norm. I was not happy with my first set of frames and true to their word, they accepted my return and made me new frames at no additional charge. The overall process seemed a bit long but I'll attribute that to the fact that it was holiday season. I would reorder from Eyeglasses.com as long as my insurance covers the bulk of the cost. There are companies out there that are more affordable but if you want quality service and merchandise you generally have to pay for it.

Good shopping experience. Helpful customer service department. Excellent product selection in both the lens and frame selections. High quality ophthalmic fabrication accompanied by good pricing and relatively fast turnaround. The web site user interface is a bit wonky but easy to use for the most part. If not for the wonky web interface, I would have given a five star rating. I'm looking forward to my next purchase from Eyeglasses.com

No customer service. Poor communication!

I would give them zero stars if I could. I ordered a couple weeks before the end of the year to use left over money from my FSA. I never received an email confirmation, although the site stated my order was completed. I attempted to contact customer service several times to ask about the lack of an email confirmation and never received a response. Then on January 2nd I received an email that they were unable to process my order without any specific reason. By then I was unable to use my remaining FSA funds and lost over $400. This company’s communication and customer service is horrible. I will absolutely never buy from them ever again and would encourage you to look elsewhere.

Return policy is deceiving

I ordered a pair of designer frames, very cheaply made and they did not fit properly. When I tried to return them for another pair, I was told because it went through insurance I was not able to exchange them. On the website, there is no indication that a return is not possible with insurance. So I'm stuck with a pair of glasses that I will not use. I have bought from them before and probably will again, but very annoyed with the return policy of the Westport, CT store. Customer service has no idea how it works through insurance, so they tell me one thing and the store is telling me another. probably a good idea to get everyone on the same page, so customers don't get conflicting information.

but on their website it was listed as available, it took about a week before I was notify that the frame was no longer in stock

difficulty with contact

I ordered a pair of lenses for frames to send in. The email with label to ship the frames was not received. A followup email was not answered. I am still trying to make contact with someone to find out how to get the frames sent and the correct lenses put in.

Perfection for or almost two decades

For almost two decades my glasses with prescription lenses have always been spot on. This is the place that carries premium brands such as Lafont and Anglo-American and can fill any prescription to fit them, which I am not able to do locally.

The price was good and my order came…

The price was good and my order came proper. However, an e-mail communication was aweful. There were several e-mails where I would ask very direct question and would get no answer. For example, I was told that with the frame that I ordered (a rimless one ), I could combine temples and lens' shape.I e-mailed to confirm that a certain lens shape can be combined with certain temples. Twice. No answer. If they'd made a mistake, it would have been a costly one for both of us. Plus, I do not have time to send orders back and forth. There were several similar (non-) communications
