The only streaming service that buffers on gigabit

The only video streaming service that somehow manages to repeatedly buffer on a gigabit internet connection. I use 7 services and funimation is the only one that buffers or gives me any issues. Not to mention the years they spent with an outdated and buggy video player and their dwindling catalog. Not looking good out here.

Free user, wouldn't upgrade

As someone who occasionally watches anime, I don't mind not subscribing for the bells and whistles. My issue comes from the player that Funimation uses, in that it is hot garbage. Files freezing "loading" because a piece of the file didn't load properly, which means I have to reload, only for it to happen again. Some series it happened once a file or so, and others it was multiple times per file. Definitely not thinking about upgrading.

Buggy website where login works 5% of the time

Buggy website where login works 5% of the time, the website hates VPNs it seems as well, sometimes doesn't even load properly at all (mind you I have 1 Gbps optic internet, it's definitely not the issue) tested on several browsers. The UX of the website is extremely badly designed and the website is very unclear as to find certain features or settings for the account. The anime availability, especially dubs, is amazing, but it's all futile if I can't even use the service properly.

Ruining good platforms

This app is absolutely horrible I went into funimation after the merge and it is horrible they have little anime it’s premium is worthless and they ruined anime lab wich had a better layout and better anime plus better deals I think funimation is just buying more streaming services so they can bump of the competition I wish I could rate this thing zero. F you funimation

Good shows and a variety of them but…

Good shows and a variety of them but the app itself is very poor. From not being able to use the favourite list due to it not registering or accepting most shows I select to then issues with the ‘continue watching’ section. I used this section as a temporary favourites list as the other method didn’t work and I’ve just logged in to see a bunch of random shows are now on my continue watching list. Shows I’ve never seen. They seriously need to sort the app out on the Xbox and iPhone

No help with hacking

My husband had an account and was clearly hacked (shows being watched in Portuguese). His password and email got changed and he sought help from customer service. He got the most juvenile, unprofessional response of "yeah that's what a hacker would say". Thankfully he was able to cancel payment another way. Disgusting customer service. Use crunchyroll instead.

This is such an awful interface

This is such an awful interface. They have some great content, but the trash interface across multiple platforms is so impressively weak. Your shows will be interrupted, have audio or of sync, and lag unbelievably. I've used the app on PS4, my PC, and my phone. It's consistently awful, but often the only legal source for the episodes without buying all shows individually.

Constantly buffers

Great selection but terrible service. Videos constantly buffering lucky to get a minute of continuous play. I have high speed internet for gaming, no issues playing games online or streaming from Netflix, Disney plus or prime, but unable to get a decent service from funmation. Massive shame as their library is good.

Literally cant watch anything

This site sucks and the only reason i occasionally use it is because they have exclusive rights to some anime which forces the viewers to use Funimation. The site literally doesn't even load any shows, at first i thought it was my ad blocker but no even after i disabled it and checked my connection to the internet it still doesn't work. Horrible site, just pirate your show don't give them money.

Upgrade Funimation

This is such a downgrade towards anime lab. you can't skip the intros of the anime, the continue section is only for the episodes not the anime and the quality at the start of the episodes is terrible. I forgot to mention how late they add episodes from animes like boruto for example by the time episode 100 is out on other services they have just added episode 99

tried to enjoy funimation but cant…

tried to enjoy funimation but cant cancelled subscription. i have been an avid fan of animelab for a very long time, which has a very simple and easy interface with no problems streaming. funimation is the opposite. subscription was a nightmare, streaming drops out continually and the menu is over complicated making it difficult to navigate. i am so angry about the merge leave animelab in australia and just source the content.

If I could rate a zero I would…

If I could rate a zero I would selection of shows is horrible. Quality is awful. And if you subscribe to thier premium plan you better watch your bank account because they say it's a monthly subscription but I was getting charged twice a month not monthly. This month alone I was charged for my subscription on the 19th and then again on the 25th less than a week later. I did not agree to pay twice a month so if you pay for it watch out for that.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I have canceled funimation back in April and have been charged every month since, despite not at all watching or using the app. I call every month and argue that I didn't want to continue service and canceled the sub.
I hoped June was the last time I had to call due to the agrovation I expressed with the operator. I have just been charged again for an app I didn't agree to pay for and don't use.

Missing Episodes???

Random episodes of various shows are missing? Overlord has an entire season missing, despite being displayed as being available. You also need a premium account to just WATCH some shows (E.g Overlord). The UI sucks ass, the app (which I had hoped would be better) is worse than their website which I didn't think was possible but here we are. Why did Animelab merge with these imbeciles I have no idea.

the fact you have to subscribe to watch anything is horrible, all i want to watch I the junji ito collection and I cant, I honestly do not recommend this website it is ridiculous

App and website was made by monkeys

App and website was made by monkeys. It’s unusable and with a company this big for them to have not have already fixed the problems is a joke. Anime lab has a great set up and I never had problems with this what a shame they joined. I’m not paying money for a streaming service that won’t let you log in 4 days of the week. Try listening to your customers and fix the site and apps

Funimation and Animelab Merge = BS

Funimation and Animelab merging is the worst thing to ever happen. Firstly Funimation only lets you download 13 episodes. Ontop, downloading episodes in Japanese doesn't seem to include english subtitles so its technically worthless.
Animelab is far far superior; this merge has ruined the amazing customer experience AnimeLab built.

I wish I could rate Funimation 0 stars.

GIVE ANIMELAB BACK THIS SUCKS MAN!!!!

They bought animelab and so I ended up there. Website is rubbish, they have way fewer genre tags, it is less user friendly, no data such as list and watched was ported over to the site. So many anime are either entirely locked or have the final few episodes locked so you can't finish the series. Honestly I'm going back to illegally streaming instead. My blood is boiling rn! Why ruin animelab it was fine!! I am yet to find anyone who has been happy about the merge. I HATE FUNIMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sketchy billing changes without consent.

honestly, i thought i would like the account but they dont have a lot of anime that a modern connoseur might like.
That was all fine and dandy... UNIL they changed my billing method. Instead of month to month they decided to make it annually which completely messed with my monthly budget.

thats sketchy guys, please keep an eye on your billing for such things. Based on this event i have lost all faith and trust in funimation.

I have been cancelled funimation they are still charging my bank account i want to stop paying for something i cancelled how can i get in contact with someone at funimation cause i tryed to use the website on my PlayStation 4 and call the number no one i really want to resolve this matter please please contact me by email no one is answering on the other end Pacific
