Have an Ingenico card reader that…has hidden charges. Dishonest company.

Have an Ingenico card reader that connects through a phone line. The machine routinely calls a premium rate phone number in order to install software updates - at a cost of more than £100 per year.
Phone number is 08431786527 for anyone who sees this on their phone bill and wonders what it is.

Ingenico does not disclose this information on their installation manual and go out of their way to conceal the fact that these charges will be made. Absolutely disgraceful that ripping off small businesses is a central part of how this company operates.

I have spent two eweeks trying to sort …

I have spent two eweeks trying to sort out integration between my machine and my EPOS till. I have been pushed from pillar to post on the phone for HOURS bewtween Payment Sense, Ingenico & EPOS now. Every time you phone the customer service team you have to go through the problem from start to finish even though they keep notes on their system, you can never get through to the same person. I had to chase progress and actions as they do not call back or follow up when they say they will. Eventually they agreed that I needed a new machine so what do they do???? Switch off my current card machine before sending the new machine, without notification and in the middle of a working day!! Do the technical support at Ingenico not understand business?!?

I could go on but I have spent so long on this issue I don't want to waste any more of my time.
