Don't get kabbage business account!
I got a kabbage business account a couple years ago when they were on green dot..the service was ok except for the fact that they didn't have any physical locations that I could deposit money other than the local supermarkets, family dollars, or Walmarts, at which the charge a $4 fee each time to deposit or withdraw money..but ever since the company has gone bankrupt and acquired by American express the whole company is a complete joke!..card customer service is almost non-existent and completely incompetent now.I believe there must have been an information leak during the new merger because all of a sudden I started getting several duplicate charges and fraudulent charges on my account. I've had about three cards replaced and multiple charges disputed because it keeps happening.one of the times they sent me a replacement card they actually sent me a card that I was not able to activate and come to find out they had sent me a card with the WRONG EXPIRATION DATE! They had to send another card and each time they take about 2-3 weeks to arrive! Recently I had two unauthorized transactions for $120 and $69 that I noticed from merchants I never used and they have not refunded them in over a month and all they say is "it's being investigated by the fraud team and they will contact you" to no avail so far.i reached out the merchants and found out that someone had been using the checking account number not the card number to make the transactions and were using another strange name on the account they purchased with my info..I've tried to get this info over to the fraud team but everytime I call in they don't connect me to the fraud team, they just keep giving the same script of "someone will reach back out to you" after I demanded to have the call escalated to a manager one agent even sent me to Green dot who doesn't even have any kabbage account info anymore!!! Smh if youre reading this please stay far far away from this train wreck of a company!!!

They do a hard credit pull even if you're an existing AMEX customer and are misleading about this. They do this pull before they give you numbers and an offer to consider. Awful practice.
Kabbage's Deceptive Business Practices
I had a line of credit with Kabbage and decided to pay off the balance in full so I requested the complete payoff and was given the balance. I tendered the entire balance per company rep only to be told that I incurred a loan fee because I didn't pay by a certain date. I was fine with that "loan fee" but come to find out there's more fees that continue to accrue even if you've paid the principle back early.
Pay attention to what you agree to because Kabbage is very deceptive and I asked to have the customer service call reviewed to verify my claim. They reviewed the call but will not let me listen to the call. Very shady practice in not holding staff accountable because the rep provided incorrect information.

This company is absolutely horrendous in regard to communication. I was referred to this company on the behalf of American Express and, since applying with Kabbage, I found them to be a company of lies and deceit. I would not recommend them to my enemy.

My account was locked due to suspected fraudulent account (i get it) but when I tried to get my 15k out of the account it took me hours on the phone and despite requesting a supervisor call me i couldnt speak to anyone with not in India. Once I got through to someone they required I send copy of state ID and a utility bill with my name on it (this is a company account). Took 3 more calls to get an email address i could send this to. I had 3 people in my office try to help me understand the person on the phone and the email address. The accent was so thick none of us could understand her (not her fault). The customer service and inability to every speak with someone was HORRIFIC. I am not only advising clients to NEVER use Kabbage I am dropping my AMEX because they are associated with this horrid company. Worst experience I can remember in probably 5 years.

Randomly dropped my line of credit when I added more accounts to show income coming in. They claimed it was irregular and customer service claimed they couldn’t do anything because it’s automated. Pretty useless to have customer service if they can’t give you answers to why the line if credit changed so drastically.
Close to fraud
Their business practices are close to fraud. I have a business checking account with a balance of over $100,000. I trusted them because they belong to American Express. When I changed my phone number they refused to update it in their system and this stopped me from getting access to my account because they continue to send verification codes to my old number. I have sent them several certified and notarized letters which they keep ignoring. They have also sent me messages about fraudulent transactions which occurred after I asked them to close the account. I have not used my debit card since December last year - so they are blocking me from getting access to my money but allow fraudsters to get access to my account ??? I have filed a complaint with the FDIC months ago and the problem has not been resolved.

having issues logging in to my account, since a system change to login through American Express. ridiculous fees to withdraw cash money. funding relies on you having a lot of money already in the account and not using that money much, the least transaction the better approval. overall, I'm switching to a local bank for the best.

Hopefully this will stay five stars. Haven’t had to deal with customer service but found the application process quite easy and was approved immediately. Guessing this was because I have two AMEX cards for the corporation. Found it easy to link my small credit union account.

Kabbage falsely advertises a revolving business line of credit. Then immediatly pulls the credit amount charging high fees for immediate payoff with high interest. They should advertise the line of credit as a loan that isn't revolving.

Recently I had major fraud committed against me to the tune of $11,000. I reported it as soon as their offices opened on Monday. The fraud was happening while they are closed on Sunday. As of today 2 weeks later they still haven’t made my account whole. I made several phone calls as well emails. All they could tell me it was still under investigation. I am going to reach out to the FDIC.

So happy they went bankrupt. For less than a 5k debt they sent me to a sleazy bill collector. A bunch of dirt bags!
What a Gabbage, waste of time...
The review team is incompetent to verify a company. Even thou they asked to be connected to the bank account and review financial information. Do not waste your time with this Gabbage. They use the AMEX name, and it is AMEX's shame to give their name to this Gabbage company.
Customer service isn’t reliable
Opened a checking account using Amex account and apparently I had an old address on file, so the account was opened with my old address. I had an issue receiving a debit card because of it, and they were never able to fix the address after multiple phone calls and document submissions. It was such a waste of my time so decided to close the account after a few month of trying.
I called them and closed account last year. I thought it’s all done, but somehow I got a debit card fraud alert 10 months later. First of all I never received my debit card so never activated it. Secondly I thought I closed my account but when I logged in to my account it said it’s locked. I had to go through the process again to make sure it’s closed now, which took them 30 mins to do it. Normally closing a bank account is so easy, I never had to be on the phone more than 10 mins. Their customer service is not reliable, so I suggest you stay away from Kabbage.

They have very bad customer service and rude staff. You will waste your time by uploading document after document then they will tell they can’t approve you. I think they just want to have access to your bank it can be dangerous giving them access. I asked to remove my banks account or I will sue them. Don’t apply with them.
Just go with a big branch bank and save yourself some time.

- After couple of fraudulent transactions I called the support (which is only working M-F btw) and they opened a case. They said I'll receive an email or call regarding the dispute but they NEVER contacted me. Called them, was put on hold by a rep that was clearly just ignoring my call. Eventually they hung up. Had to call again and it's still under investigation and I have to send them a letter?! Then she put me on hold. Apparently I still have to wait longer to get my money back.

Frustrating and unreliable
Their customer service is all overseas and incompetent. The app wouldn't accept a $27k government check deposit and after a week of calling and being told it's a technical error they finally told me their third party fraud detection has determined it's a fraudulent check. Not sure why they determined it's now fraudulent when they accepted a check from the same customer months prior.
Now I've had to request a replacement check from my customer and open another bank account elsewhere since the check is endorsed to deposit only to Kabbage checking. This has delayed me from payment for at least a month and is affecting my cashflow.
I also applied for their Payments service so I can take payments by credit card and after 10 months it's still showing "Under Review".
