I was tricked into wasting my time looking at a possible train journey. When I went into detail they had added an extra Euro 4 for no valid reason. I went to buy it anyway - what can you do - and they raised it another Euro 25 while I was booking. When I returned to the main site they were pretending to be selling it for the original price Euro 59. After going back in it was actually Euro 77

The worst customer service ever! My flight was cancelled by the airline and because I bought my ticket from Omio, Airline told me to follow up from the agency I purchased ticket. I've been contacting Omio customer service for 4 months and I haven't received my money yet! It is so complicated and difficult even to get in touch with customer service and even if you do, there is no result!
1‑Star Review: Avoid Omio – They Take Your Money and Disappear When Things Go Wrong
I’ll never use Omio again. They are great at taking your money instantly, but the moment something goes wrong they make the refund process as difficult as possible.
I bought train tickets through Omio, the train was cancelled, and there was no replacement transport. A completely unusable ticket. You’d think getting a refund would be straightforward — especially since they sell you “insurance” on top of the ticket. Not with Omio.
The refund process is a joke.
The forms don’t work properly, they refuse to let you submit all the tickets you bought together, and they push you back and forth between themselves and the rail company. Omio tells you to “contact the carrier”, the carrier tells you to “contact the seller”, and you end up stuck in the middle while they hold onto your money.
The insurance they sell is basically useless. When you actually need it, they suddenly claim it doesn’t apply. So what exactly are you paying for?
This company is happy to take your payment, but when a train never arrives and you’re left stranded, they offer zero help and hide behind technicalities. It feels designed to make people give up on refunds.
If you’re thinking of booking through Omio, don’t. Book directly with the train operator and save yourself the stress.

I have used Omio before and really liked the service, but my experience recently has been nothing sort of socking, from a change in the selection I made to a lack of correcting their mistake without changing me a fortune to do it to their really shitty AI who will not connect me to a real person even when I ask repeatedly.

My flight got cancelled the 2nd of January, due to a snowstorm in Amsterdam. I tried to get a refund from the flight company, but they refused my request even though their website say the opposite in these happenings. Then I contacted Omio-support and they quickly reached out to me, and were very helpful. So even though it took about 4 months to get my refund, Omio was a big help!

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with Omio. I purchased a bus ticket through their platform (Booking ID: 1gu6k9m / Ref: Y4WR3J-Z6LE2). The ticket explicitly stated that the bus would depart from Platform 51. I arrived well in advance and waited there, only to find out that the bus left from Platform 28C without any prior notification or update from Omio.
Because of this wrong information provided by Omio, I missed my bus and was forced to buy an emergency train ticket to Barcelona out of my own pocket, causing me significant financial loss and mental distress.
I filed an official compensation claim 33 days ago on April 16, 2026 (Case ID: NR3WZ7-X6WP7). I uploaded full photographic evidence of the wrong ticket and the platform, but Omio has completely ignored me for over a month. I have received nothing but automated robot replies. This is a clear violation of EU Consumer Protection Laws.
If this is not resolved by a human manager immediately, I am escalating this case directly to the European Consumer Centre (ECC) and filing an official complaint for financial damages. Resolve my case and refund my money immediately!
UPDATE: Omio replied claiming last-minute platform changes are out of their control, but I reject this excuse. The bus didn’t change its platform at the last minute; it was scheduled from 28C all along, meaning Omio sold me a ticket with faulty, outdated data. As the ticket provider, you have a legal obligation under EU Consumer Protection Laws to issue accurate operational details.
Because of your wrong ticket information, I suffered a direct financial loss and had to buy an emergency train ticket. Your automated support ignored my case (NR3WZ7-X6WP7) for over a month until I posted here. Shifting the blame to the bus operator is unacceptable. I demand a full refund and compensation immediately, or I will officially escalate this to the European Consumer Centre (ECC).
UPDATE 2: I completely reject your €15 "goodwill gesture." This offer is insulting compared to the actual financial damage your faulty ticket caused me. My original Lisbon to Barcelona bus ticket cost me €44. Because Omio printed the wrong platform information (Platform 51 instead of 28C), I missed the bus and had to pay €66 for an emergency Renfe train ticket on April 16 just to reach Barcelona.
My total loss is €110 directly due to Omio's incorrect data. Since you have already acknowledged my evidence and admitted that the platform information was wrong from the beginning, your Terms & Conditions paragraph 3.7 does not protect you from gross negligence or selling inaccurate data.
I have all the official receipts and photographic evidence ready. I demand a full refund of my €44 bus ticket and compensation for the €66 train ticket (Total €110). If Omio does not resolve this properly, I will take this admitted evidence directly to the European Consumer Centre (ECC Spain) to claim my full financial damages.
