Good experience of Paypal and their work on my behalf

I have just read several reviews, making me wonder if all these people are talking about the Paypay I totally rely on for all my on line purchases. I have found them extremely helpful. Giving a great service. Staff friendly polite, and highly professional. Having a recent problem with a purchase from overseas supplier, they could not have been more pro active. Settling things in my favour within time frame given. I completely trust them . Would in fact not buy online without them.

WORST platform to use lets switch to XRP

Slow transactions and big fees hahah this is the worst payment provider you can use in 2025 lets all switch to XRP since the fee is like 5 cents and the cross border transactions are instantaneous. Avoid Paypal credit card

I took out a paypal credit card as they were offering a £10 incentive. I used it for Boots and then tried to pay shortly afterwards online. the system would not accept my payment after several attempts. I then set up a direct debit, only to be find the next month that this hadn't worked either and I was being charged interest.
Trying to contact them via online chat is ridiculously difficult and they do NOT answer your queries. I was given a phone number and continued to pay over the phone, initially they refused to credit the interest but after getting rather upset and asking to speak to a supervisor he changed his mind. He also tried asking me if I had problems paying gas and elec???? Disgusting customer service - Credit card cancelled.

Paypal will not support us in fighting a fraudulent vendor

We provided evidence of the constant lies of a supplier who sent us the wrong product and then lied about its origin. We pressed them and they offered a 20% refund if we shipped the product to China. It never came from China and we provided Paypal with complete evidence of the whole scam Paypal went along with the vendor- we will not rely on Paypal again and we advise others to be careful.

Absolutely useless!!!!

Absolutely useless!!!!! A seller claiming to be in uk but actually in China so my order for Xmas present didn't arrive till after Xmas. I brought it to PayPal attention that site was misleading and was offered partial refund which I refused and said wanted full refund and details how to send item back as nothing on the site. Then having taken 4 weeks PayPal change mind and no refund no explanation!!! So now I'm left with item for 32.99 no joy with seller and PayPal totally waste of time.

Sign up error

I was trying to sign up for PayPal but I wasn’t receiving any otp’s for my phone number, when I was trying to contact a customer support agent, it told me to login to communicate with an agent. I tried two phone numbers but it didn’t allow me to sign up. Honestly Shite

Paypal wiped my ability to see my…

Paypal wiped my ability to see my credit account. I've also been trying for a month to change my last name but jumping through hoops because my id doesn't have my old last name because of the name change. Countless phone calls don't seem to help. I would beware this company and any other companies they own for a poorly designed system.

I have bought item on eBay and I did…

I have bought item on eBay and I did not receive the item. I open dispute with paypal …two weeks later. It went on the sellers favour I was very disappointed £78 gone out my bank and I can’t get it back and that is not good enough for me, and because of that, I don’t trust Paypal to use it anymore so I’m closing my account on PayPal

Should be zero stars

Should be zero stars. They allow cam artists charge your account and do nothing to remove said charges from your account In my case I paid the phone charges just to close my account. Then PayPal wouldn't. allow me to close my account under any circumstances. I'll stick with my bank and Zelle and let others continue to be abused.

Paypal denying refund and calling me liar

i paid throug Paypal on the site eleganza-milano (awful site) , i never received the package. i have opened the reclamation in paypal to be refunded adding all info also from the shipper sayign that they did not know to who was delivered the package. But still Paypal closed the case in favor of the seller. I called and the rep Miguel was saying that i was lying !!! I asked him if he could fine any prove that the product was delivered and he could not but still saying the product was delivered. PAYPAL as it is now is completely useless and not to be used

I can’t give zero or I would

I can’t give zero or I would, PayPal actively help scammers steal from people giving the consumer no support. Their resolution system is a joke, that closes cases without getting the option to escalate. Then despite the website saying you have 10 days to appeal, won’t let you do that either.

Far from a safe way to pay.

PayPal is a part of a fraud conspiracy…

PayPal is a part of a fraud conspiracy by facilitating transactions for fraudulent scam ads. I purchased an earbud translation device advertised on Instagram. Had a convincing video commercial but what really made me feel confident was that the transaction for purchase was through PayPal with that in mind I purchased the device in Early December 2024! Apparently Larry Hot trading is a scam because whenever I email the seller for updates I get a bogus “tracking” email that just has a scam “tracking” site attached to it. I contacted PayPal and essentially the seller sent me another scam tracking response. It is the middle of January 2025 and still nothing! Pissed off!

I have been a long time user of Paypal

I have been a long time user of Paypal. I recently was scammed by a seller. Not a massive amount of money lost. I have taken hits before from some dirty tricks sellers but always for very small stuff.
I am, however, saddened to find, by my own experience, that Paypals claim of protecting me from scammers and perhaps refunding scam transactions is not at ll what I thought it would be.
They refuse to let me submit my problem and respont with , oops, there is a problem at our end. End of. Multiple tries to no avail.
I googled this message and can't believe the number of people suffering the same issue. Some reviews explain that this is to justput people off claiming anything due to paypal induced stress. A worse stress than th scammer itself.
I am afraid that I no longer trust paypal and I believe that using a credit card for purchases will offer the protections that they claim to.
Changing over will be inconvenient but paypal don't offer me peace of mind with purchasing anymore.

I will never use PayPal again.

Having such a big name in the industry has tricked me into doing no due diligence before using for a Xmas transaction.
The company I purchased off delivered a Xmas gift to me 1 month late. I requested a refund on Xmas eve as it was obvious the Xmas jumpers weren't to arrive for Xmas. I then had these arrive mid January. I've tried to return, had almost a month of communicating to PayPal to say my £75 payment for express delivery were worth nothing & I had the product delivered eventually. The reply was humanless, clearly not understanding the timings of Xmas and what that time of year is about.
I'm disgusted losing £250 as a gift idea and not being able to get my money back.

So many issues where do I begin . for Google Play store it said invalid I finally fixed that now It says declined i have money on my pay pal why is is it so difficult & if you want to put it in your bank it takes a long time and there's a fee as soon as I figure out how to get my money I'm deleting paypal

Allowing scammers to thrive

Customer Service is appalling. Got scammed and PayPal have had numerous complaints about this company (judging by the number of reviews for said company) and PayPal in every instance are refusing to refund people. They know they are scammers and they are enabling them to continue using their platform to scam others. PayPal closed my case without response to my complaints or carrying out promised updates. Same as they have done with many others complaining about these scammers. I’m guessing PayPal can’t get money back from the scammers either so are not willing to refund customers as they promise. I’m now taking this up with Financial Ombudsman as 43 days of arguing my consumer rights and hitting a brick wall - enough is enough. It’s a disgrace that they advertise themselves as offering consumer protection but in reality they offer scammers all the protection.

One of the WORST pal

Yes I would give a MINUS 5 score if I could! I have been a member since 2002 and watched paypal descend into the sewer gradually when it comes to customer service. Prior to 2010, it was brilliant, easy to use, quick & effective resolution of problems/disputes, low fees, etc. I was a Premier Verified Member when paypal used to have that feature. Now they are racially profiling and discriminating by targeting certain demographics so I just CLOSED my account. I would NEVER recommend paypal to anyone now.

Very disappointed waiting for a payment…

Very disappointed waiting for a payment of £25 into my bank then Xoom??? also had £26.99 pending basically at the same time. I rang PayPal and was told the £26.99 was not showing on my Paypal account but is was on my online banking as pending. Never had a problem before but will debate before using again.Xoom apparently is part of Paypal so why couldn't the guy I spoke to see it on my account/

PayPal is allowing scammers to continue to operate and profit!!! I thought the website was safe because it accepts PayPal and they claim they will protect purchases. It was 100 phony merchandise and PayPal knows it! But instead the deal offered me was that I spend $30 shipping fee to get a possible (it is scammers after all) $38 refund. Or I accept $20 and lose $18 to a fraud company. It’s a win for PayPal and a win for scammers. But what it’s not is protecting consumers!
