Wrong item

In August 2019 I placed an order for a camera and lens. Although Rhinocamera.de advertise a German address, items were supplied from (and returnable to) the UK.

The items were supplied promptly. But there are two things to note here. Firstly, the items arrived unannounced in two separate packages on different days. Tracking numbers were not given, and there were no packing notes. Secondly, the packaging was basic – not a box containing the manufacturer’s box, but rather several layers of bubble-pack around the manufacturer’s box, sealed in a soft plastic cover.

Unfortunately, the lens supplied was not the one that I had ordered. In view of the time required to supply the correct lens, I cancelled that part of the order.

Some correspondence was required. I should record here that Rhinocamera were always prompt in replying. And Rhinocamera were also punctilious in arranging refunds.

I am sure that it is very unusual for Rhinocamera to supply the wrong item. However, it should be noted that things can and sometimes do go wrong.

A few week ago I ordered a Nikon D7500…

A few week ago I ordered a Nikon D7500 form Rhimocameras with a little bit of trepidatation, I might add as it cost me GBP749.00 which is a lot of money. However they order was acknowledged immediately and I received it in Malta about ten days later.
It works just great and I have not had any problems with it to date. I need to know why the guarantee was not enclosed with the camer and they responded the same day to tell me that their receipt/confirmation of order was the guarantee, and that this was for FIVE years.
Not hesitation in giving Rhino Cameras all praise for excellent service.

Rhinocamera, a very good online store

Rhinocamera has the best prices for big lenses throughout Europe. Fast delivery, less than a week. They were very friendly when I called and asked questions about my order. I´m very satisfied.

Bad customer service

The screen of Fujifilm camera what I bought from Rhiocamera.com suddenly stopped working. I did not drop the camera, handled it very carefully and did not do any accidental damage. I sent the photo of the camera without any signs of damage and with the stripes on the display. Following the instruction of Rhinocamera I sent the camera for the repair or replacement. Rhinicamera was silent for two weeks and when I sent the reminder the reply was astonishing. A very different photo of the damage with the crack on the screen was sent to me. Rhinocamera manager was rude on the phone and the company refused to repair the camera or give the refund saying that accidental damage is not covered under warranty. I asked the camera to be sent back to me for inspection, three weeks passed and the camera has not been returned. Rhinocamera answers by e-mails reflect their bad customer attitude. Apart from handling the case with my lawyer and ECC, I will report and complain to Fujifilm.

To be clear Accidental Damage is not covered under warranty. Unfortunately Mr B. has not given the full information regarding his product. He returned a Fuji X-E3 with the LCD screen not working, it was inspected and photographed upon arrival as with all returns from customers. The photo showed an internal crack on the screen from where Liquid from the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) was leaking, we sent this to our repairers who confirmed that the LCD had an internal crack and was lose in the top left hand corner with the corner protruding compared to the other 3 corners. When given this information Mr B. disputed stating that it was not in this condition when he had the camera, however as it is an LCD and with an internal crack it will get worse if transported or handled, it maybe hard to see originally but as the liquid empties the crack it becomes more and more visible, hence it is safe to assume that in transportation with the camera being moved and shaken whilst in transit that the Liquid will leak to the rest of the LCD, hence when Rhinocamera received the camera and took pictures the screen was in worse condition. This information on Liquid on LCD screen's is available on every search engine, Mr B. has not accepted this information, the only other possibility is that the screen was damaged in transit which would be a dispute between Mr B. and the courier he employed. Unfortunately Mr B. was informed as it was accidental damage it was not covered under warranty, we offered to ask the repairer for a goodwill gesture to repair the LCD by the way of a significant discount, Mr B. declined this offer and hence we did not contact the repairer for an estimate or a goodwill gesture. Mr B. is not happy with the outcome hence his review regarding the product and business.

Recently ordered a camera from them. I'd lost money earlier with a different supplier, so I was more nervous than I should have been. There was a small error or confusion about delivery. They took my overreaction in their stride, went well beyond what the problem merited to solve the problem within a few hours and the camera turned up the next day. If their customer service can deal with the bad tempered customer I was in this transaction, you can rest assured that they will deliver as promised. I'm going to need a second body and some lenses soon, and I will be going with them. Recommended
