I recently bought my car from this company and had a really positive experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
6 months later, I had a slight issue with the car, upon contacting Lorraine in the service department she very quickly resolved the issue in a timely manner and was extremely helpful, I can’t recommend this car company enough!

The gentlemen arrived today and were so helpful and pleasant.
They checked my vehicle and took it out just around the estate and then the money was transferred and in my bank within minutes.
They also sorted everything out for me and even made me up some private number plates for my new vehicle.

I drove past Richlee originally opened minded of the new car i wanted but had a convertible Mini in my mind, unexpectedly, that soon changed following the test drive of a stunning electric Mini Level 3. The service from the staff was fantastic with a huge mention to Rich! I'm overwhelmed with my car and very confident this service will continue, i would recommend anyone to buy a car from here.

The courtesy car would not open the petrol cover even though the release catch was working so I could not buy any fuel and was running near to empty. I phoned Richless and spoke to Lorraine who was very kind. She spoke with the manager and sent a driver to pick up this car and give me a replacement which works fine. Sinclair, the driver, told me there was a quarter tank of petrol and I appreciated how quickly they put matters right for me.

We’ve now purchased two vehicles from this company, and both experiences have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They even helped us turn each purchase into a surprise for our teenage kids, which made the moments even more special.

Most recently, we worked with Kevin, who truly went above and beyond. He made us feel completely comfortable, never pushed the sale, and never pressured us in any way. He delivered on everything we asked for and made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable.

We would recommend this business to anyone in the market for a car. The whole team clearly cares about their customers’ needs and makes the buying experience simple, straightforward, and genuinely pleasant. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, everything started well and having used Richlee before, I decided to return to them. My biggest mistake.

I was sold a car and within a couple of weeks, the clutch started slipping, badly. Arranged to take it back as it was still within the Warranty period. Took three visits to book in a appointment to investigate and repair.

In the meantime, the weekend before the appointment I was due to take my children on a long journey and the clutch slippage was getting worse. I had a clutch check by another reputable company who advised me not to make the trip as the clutch was about to go and the Timing Belt was below the limit required (as sold). I advised Richlee of this and confirmed I expected the clutch and Timing Belt to be repaired as I had only just purchased the car. I was told they had one of the parts in and expected the other in the following day. A week after taking the car in and asking if all repairs had been carried out (to which it was confirmed they had been) I collected the car. The issues became worse and the car broke down. It was subsequently confirmed that the clutch had completely gone (by a reputable Garage). Having spoken to Richlee, I was informed that the repair of the clutch had not been undertaken at all, despite being told it had and that if I wanted it done I would have to pay for the same as they had managed to move it off of the recovery vehicle! Not only had I been lied to about repair work putting my children and I at risk in an unsafe vehicle, but now they were trying to extort money from me. In no uncertain terms I told them not to touch the car as I had lost all trust in them and I would sort out. I was told it was my problem to remove the car and get it to another Garage for repair. After telling them not to touch my car, when driving to meet the recovery vehicle at Richlee, I saw my own car being driven down the road in the other direction without my consent! Clearly they were checking how bad the clutch was knowing I had told them not to touch my car due to the dispute we were then in. When it was returned (I was sat in the forecourt) the smell of burning in the forecourt was terrible. This was not surprising as I was already aware the clutch had gone as the car had broken down with my daughter and I in it!

The car has broken down twice since and is now SORN due to continuing issues relating to the clutch and now possibly the engine. It is unsafe, undriveable and not a vehicle I will be driving my children around in.

Having expended thousands of pounds on transport since and repairs which have not worked, I am now progressing through the Motor Finance Company for a refund. I am also pursuing a Court application for the financial loss from being sold a faulty car and Richlee's inability to co-operate and assist.

A complaint was issued to Richlee over eight weeks ago and has been chased but I have had no courtesy of a response at all.

Avoid if you want to save yourself money, stress and frustration.

One star is far too good for this Company who have manipulated a situation which is far from acceptable for their own gain.

I saw the car online a spoke to Kevin at the Rayleigh branch, due to distance I didn’t see the car in person but he went through in detail about the history and condition of the car. Kevin was a pleasure to deal with, very customer focused and very accommodating. At collection we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and the car was exactly as described…beautiful inside and out! A lovely touch was the car came with half a tank of fuel which is generally not done. The 140 mile drive back home was great the car purred along nicely. Overall I would absolutely recommend Richlee and especially Kevin for his exemplary customer service.

Richlee motors purchased a car from me through a third party company. The gentlemen that picked up the car were courteous and patient as the third party company were slow in verifying all the details. Richlee did not haggle the price and paid straight away on the figure they had agreed. I would not hesitate in going direct to Richlee to sell my vehicles in future. Thanks

We have used Richlee motors before so when looking for a new car didn't hesitate to visit the showroom. Found a lovely polo gti in fantastic condition and a great price, from start to finish service was excellent with no pressure just honest advice. Can't recommend them highly enough and so glad used them again. Thanks jason

They dont even deserve a start richard is the biggest liar con artist there is , brought a car withing 2 weeks engine lights took it back to them gave benifit of doubt and they have just erased the error light I took it back 2nd time after waiting 4 weeks for them to arrange to book me in they just top up with adblue I was promised a full refund and then the deney everything , they are vile they should be closed down they have no customer service or anything when you call them they put the phone down on you and refuse to help , we will see who has last laugh under consumers right act as finance company already said within 1st 6 months they are fully liable as I have gave them multiple chances to fix the issue and they failed to

I found Richlee through Motorway & I am glad I did.
They have been a great garage to deal with making the selling process of my car easy & I can’t thank Lee enough for his amazing customer service. 10/10

I am pleased to have sold our Renault to Richlee Motors, it can be worrying to sell a vehicle, especially if you’re not knowledgable with selling cars but it was made fair and easy with Lee and Richard.

I am writing this review as it is long overdue, with both my partner and myself being customers of Richlee Motor Company for nearly 10 years.
During this time, we have purchased several vehicles between us and have always received an exceptional service, both face to face and over the phone.
The vehicles we have purchased have always been immaculately presented and when handed over by the sales person they would always answer any questions and help setup phone connectivity etc.
The premises, at both Rayleigh and Billericay, are always very clean and tidy.
The staff at both locations are always chatty and happy to engage in conversation.
Richlee Motor Company is the first and last place that we look for our cars, and will continue to do so.
Keep up the great choice and the great quality of stock and the warm friendly environment.

Fantastic guys - The porsche was my third car from you all for my family and im very happy. Even if issues come up they are quick to fix. Cars are a mechanical - they could go wrong thats life! Its just how these things are resolved and im very happy with the service, these guys are always willing to help, even if they didnt sell the car!

Highly recommend! I bought my car from Richlee, it had some structural imperfections being a 2nd hand car, Richlee went above and beyond with repairing the paint work and also refurbed all alloys too! When purchasing my next car, I sold my car back to Richlee and the process was stress free. All the members of staff including the sales team, service department and valeter’s are suberb!

Sold my Mercedes A180 to Richlee as I wanted to change my car. Spoke to the owner Richard and what a lovely, down to earth Gentleman. He offered me a great price for my car so it was a definite no brainer.
Money was transferred into my bank account within 10 minutes and I couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Purchased a BMW M2 from the guys here. Lewis, Lee and Erin gave amazing customer service from the start. Only went to have a look at the car. Lewis was hot on coming out to greet us, got us the key to look around the car and even offered a test drive, really could not fault the service from Richlee motors. Very highly recommend. All members of staff greeted us with a smile. We were offered drinks, Very welcoming and didn’t even consider any other garage after viewing the car.
