Hard to cancel subscriptions.

It is too hard to cancel a subscription. The only way I can find to cancel my subscription is to call customer service. It takes a long time to call and verify myself, and most often it ends with the voice machine telling me to call another time.

For 4 times I have contacted Telia for…

For 4 times I have contacted Telia for a problem that started 3 weeks ago. When the same boradband setup has been working for around 7 years. I even wrote them an email explaining averything, to which they did not respond for at least 4 days.
The 4 times I contacted them they told me 4 different things. Including 2 that said "you were lucky that it worked during 6 years" (Lucky?!?!?) Come on.
As of now I have no solution to the problem other than 4 non-sense explnation that completely enter in conflict with each other and that sounded like made up on the spot. The technical knowledge was zero and the support sounded like reading a protocol of what to answer to get rid of the customer without any solution.
Result: I am changing to TELE2 and see if the customer service there is more knwledgable and helpful.
I was paying in TELIA almost 700 SEK a month for 500/500 broadband plan and TV package. 700 HUNDRED SWEDISH CROWNS a month.

Some of the answeres I received:

* Buy a new ethernet cable that is long and you connect your computer directly to the router. It is only 160 crowns.
* Buy a router (or even beteer) get our router and pay a bit more.
* You were lucky it worked for 6 years
* You only get one IP address from us
* You only get 2 IP address from us
* As your internet works we cannot send a technitian even though you can only use 2 ethernet connections at home.
* A lot of customers call us saying that "it worked for so many years and now it doe not work" (...and we do not believe them nor we help them..)
* If you connect a switch it will solve the problem" "I already have tried the switch that worked for 6 years and it is not working" "Buy a new switch, it s probably broken. Technoilogy goes fast and the Switch is probably old".

Etc... Just amazing!!!!! Please TELIA you really need to work on this service.

Telia broadband customer review

Telia has terrible broadband connectivity and unable to resolve the technical fault, extremely insensitive people and very unprofessional company. I got the connection around 7-8 months back and after 2 months only the connectivity issue started. Every week the broadband completely vanishes and when it is there it keeps coming & going. I keep hanging with their customer support person for 2 - 2.5 hours and they tell me to switch on/off buttons, remove cable & put it again, send a new router or just disconnect the call without resolving the issue. Worst was when they told me to pay for the technician's visit. If Telia wants to improve their services, is customer feedback not enough? I would not recommend anyone to have Telia services. I don't rate them even 1.
Their network speed is, upload speed 30 and download speed is 60

I can see at once that there has been a miscommunication here regarding the technichian.

If there is something wrong with your connection the support has done exactly as the should and help you with the troubleshooting and exchanging any equipment that seems to be faulty.

If that does not help we can send a technichian. We will pay for the technichian if the problem you are having is because of any of Telias connections of equipment. The only time we will charge for the technichian is if the problem is with your own equipment.

So please call the support again or make an error report at www.telia.se/felsok to resolve the issue.

I transfered ownership of my telia line…

I transfered ownership of my telia line to another user. I was not comfortable paying the too high bill of using it. Telia sent me an invoice the month after I gave up ownership of the line. I called to ask why. They said that it was a carry over cost and that I would be refunded this money after I paid it. When they refunded, it was short of the amount that I paid them. It felt wierd that such a company would be doing little scams like this. I decided to let it go.

This month, I got another invoice from telia. I called them again asking why. They told me it was a glitch in their system that sent wrong invoices to people, not just me. They told me to pay it and get a refund later. Once bitten, twice shy...Fool me twice, the joke is on me...

The audacity of telia to extort money this way is mind boggling. The right thing would have been to tell me that they were sorry for the error and then cancel the invoice, but no, they want me to pay and get refunded less than I paid.

This time around, I will not pay for something that I did not use. It is obvious that they are not going to stop stealing from me like this every month. We will see about that, Telia. Enough is enough.

It was a genuin glitch in the system and for that I am sorry.

When the invoice is registered it is easier if you pay and get refunded. And of course you will get every last krona back.

Completely incompetent

I am writing about my experience with Telia in the last 3 months. I have tried ordering mobile broadband 3 different times now. Once in Umea where everything went through fine in the salon, but no email, no router and no post came to my house. Once, over the phone, where I was supposed to receive a letter to sign up for online account where I could order. As before, such letter never arrived. Finally, I have tried ordering it in a salon again, this time in Sundsvall, and the guy told me he can't as I don't have an employer. I am self-employed and need internet connection to maintain my business, yet this company has proven very unreliable and simply incompetent beyond any comprehension. I find it a big pity that they have a monopoly in my area with the fibre and I will be ordering mobile fibre with any other provider - even if they cost more or a slower, because I can no longer handle dealing with Telia. Wholeheartedly not recommended.

They lie about contract conditions by phone

I would give 0 stars if an option.
My binding period was finishing this October and I got a good offer from other company. When I called to terminate my subscription with Telia, the offered me a good package by phone, including TV and bredband in the price. However the contract received after was not matching the verbal agreenenr so I asked to have it fixed to which Telia told me by phone (2 different workers in 2 different calls) that even if the contract stated another thing l, the verbal agreement was entered in the system and it would apply accordingly once the start date of the contract (November 2nd) comes. This was of course not the case and now noone is taking responsibility.
so I am stuck with a cintract and a price which has nothing to do with the verbal agreement and furthermore, I was lied to by Telia in 2 different occasions. I am just hoping that the kinsumentverket can offer good advise as how to proceed with a claim in this case.

If there has been a misunderstanding between you and the seller, I am truly sorry. We must always assume that the agreement you signed is what we agreed on, in addition to the agreement you also receive a confirmation and have a 14-day right of withdrawal. In other words, if you think something is wrong, there is plenty of time to regret it.

Respect contract arrangements

Respect contract arrangements. Too high bills.
Very poor customer services. So frustrated that after my contract ended on sept 3rd 2023 with no connection thereof, i still received a monthly bill to pay full amount.
I will not recommend this network.

Slowest service

A sactisfied custumer

I've been telia's custumer for the past 4 years,which i firmly believe has the best breadband service in sweden! And i speak by personal experience after being through with other companies.
Couple weeks ago one of their oparator (Alexander lilia) by contacting me made life even happier and cheaper.
I matured a series of bonus and therefore had the possibility to join telia also with my mobile subscription for an overall remarkable discount. In addition the internet speed was increased aswell.
Can't be more sactisfied !

TELIA is a big F U CK piece of sh#.
Very incompetent personal not qualified for costumer services, technical support and other issues.
TELIA personal staff team are a band LIARS and losers, and those b i t ches girls from the call Center are so stupid, without good manners, and very arrogant. TELIA = a fu ck big piece of sh#t. F U C K YOU TELIA B I T CHES!!!!

Poor customer service

I was advised by my expat colleagues to avoid if possible Telia based on their poor experience.
However, I was forced to go with them based on where I live. At the Telia store I ordered a mobile subscription + a bredband subscription. Only the mobile went through, the other got lost. Went back again to the store, placed again an order for the internet. Waited, was in communication multiple times with both the store and the customer support (they don't talk to each other so you are being pinged ponged), regularized painfully with my personnummer when I received it. Yet today I log into my account and there is nothing! Nada! No service despite me receiving invoices!
The store will write a nice message asking the customer support to call you. You will receive a call, but they hang up as soon as it rings so you have to call back, wait 15 minutes in the queue, for a person to say she doesn't see any info the store has (again no communication between them).
So in summary, poor poor efficiency in the service area. I you need help, you very much are on your own. If I had a chance, I would change immediately.

Of course you should always be able to actually use your broadband before the invoices arrive- this is something we can fix however. Double check everything

The people at the service are polite enough, however their system seems just unreliable and error prone.
After half a year, there hasn't been a single month I didn't have to contact the hotline about some error or obfuscation on the invoices - assuming they even arrived.
Remember, any promise given by the hotline is only as strong as the paper it is written on. Get EVERYTHING in writing, otherwise it might just not happen.

I only walked into the store because I didn't have a personnummer and needed a phone. In the end, it would have been cheaper and less complicated to pay roaming fees.
If at all possible, keep away from this mess of a company.

Telia is the worst company I’ve ever had pleasure being with when you have a problem they fill you full of bull s..t you pay your bills they cut you off their staff are trained to lie they bully you they even go as far as demanding a bad company all round stay well clear of them they’re internet system is the worst in Sweden

Arrogant and incompetent people, stay away

Without a Swedish person number it is difficult to make contracts with Swedish internet suppliers. I went in person to Telias office in Växjo with a passport and drivers license to identify myself and signed a contract for them to deliver internet to my house. I cancalled the existing subscription to the 30th, while Telia would start to deliver on the 29th. 2 days ago Telia mails me that they can't deliver internet on the 29th because there's an existing supplier (which they knew in advance), AND THEY THEN CANCEL THE CONTRACT! I then phone them (and wait 15 min in the phone queue) to correct this and they refuse to deliver anyway, and tell me I can go to their office to make a new contract again. It was all they would talk to me since I don't have a Swedish person number - they demanded that FIVE Times. I hate this arrogant, incompetent company and the intolerable way they treat people. Stay away frorm them for God's sake. PS: The censorship function on trustpilot prevents me from using the correct descriptive words about Telia.
Notice how in their reply Telia claim THEY are not responsible for their OWN "safety" precautions. That is an obvious lie. Of course they are, and here in Denmark (where we are subject to the same EU rules) I don't need to tell anyone my person number to make subscriptions. The issue is that Telia do not care about their customers.

With todays security it is hard do do anything without Swedish personal number, and BankID. Which indirectly means that it is more difficult for foreign customers to obtain a Swedish subscription. The safety precautions are high, but that's not just with us. All in all, either if you order something online or try to starta a subscription it's all the same. And I understand that it's not ultimate when you don't have a Swedish personal number.

If this is regarding broadband via fiber we should be good to get you connection up and running as soon as your prior broadband connection is disconnected.

for the past MONTH, DAILY, in the afternoons i can't play because the connection to your dogwater twelve99 servers somewhere in the middle of europe is SO BAD i get 65% packet loss. jesus christ fix your servers

They admitted mistakes were made, they resolved the situation, and they were polite through out the whole process. I greatly appreciate and respect any company that tries to resolve issues. It wasn't quite the outcome I desired, but it was very kind of them.

Pricy without return

The price is high, for a quality that does not exceed any others. Ive had several issues with the net being down and needing someone to come out and change products they’ve installed… and so on, and every time it’s a hassle to even get in touch. There’s low support if you need contact or info about network loss in your area. You can’t call at all, (not even for general questions without any private info.. maybe unless if you want to sign up. ) if you’re not the owner of the service, even if it’s you’re apartment. Two people who were stuck at home a whole day unable to work, without being able to ask if this was going to be fixed during the day or the week.

Worst internet connection I ever had in…

Worst internet connection I ever had in my 10 years living in Sweden.

I am paying 350 SEK for a 100/100 connection which I can get at least 250/250 from another company for the same price. The reason I am stuck with Telia is that they are the only provider in my area, which is not a small village and very close to big cities, which is very weird imo.

Been suffering from connection being cut off every once and a while but I have lost it completely 12 hours ago. Raised a ticket and called their support, told them that I need to work since I work from home and the answer was that this will take a couple of days to fix!!!
2 days to restore connection!! while their sales people will hook you up with a subscription in a heart beat.

I actually might risk it and buy a starlink connection just to get rid of them.

Worst company I been dealing with

Worst company I been dealing with. Not possible to return reuter after. Made me pay for return delivery!
Very bad customer service and system. Telia Norway is much better and easier, so too bad for the Swedish department. Lost a customer.
