This course has challenged me and my photography in so many ways and am so glad I kept going. I have learnt so much about my camera and better ways to take photos. I am a novice photography not look for a career change and it has been so educational for me, I have learnt so much and whether you want a career or just more knowledge I think this is the perfect place to start. Well worth the money and the support from the institute and the facebook groups is great. Always someone to help when you set stuck.

I am thoroughly learning and growing through this course
I have a young family and struggled at times to put extra study into learning.I am also an older student whom feels I have a good eye but lacked the technical ability..This course has pushed me and I have also gone onto google other sites and other videos to help my brain "get it "..I am thorougly learning and growing through this course.
An outstanding course for anyone serious about photography.
This is a really excellent course for anybody looking to make a step change in their photography skills. The course strikes a good balance between theory and practical learning starting with the basics of photography and building to advanced skills. I enjoyed the self paced learning and access to an experience tutor throughout the course. Whether your goal is to become a professional photographer or an advanced amateur this course will provide you the skills and resources to achieve your goals.

Great tutorials, great tutors.
I have mixed feelings about this…
I have mixed feelings about this course. First, it's easy to follow, simple to understand and does have a lot of good content. It's essentially just a book on photography (Twelve 60ish page documents) with some simple assignments tacked on. There is nothing wrong with this but not worth $1000. It's not really worth the $500 I paid on a deal. My 'tutor' marks my assignments quickly, but never really engages with what I have done. He seems to just write a short comment and then copy and paste big chunks of pre-written text. It gets very confusing as he often just repeats what I have written in the assignment. I have asked him a few questions in private messages but I haven't got any good answers.

MUST BE DONE!
I feel an enormous sense of achievment and pride having just completed the cert in photography with the Photography Institute. It was very in depth and got me into the inner workings of the camera and what DSLR'S can/cant do. I highly recommend this course for anyone who thinks they know about cameras (as I did-but didn't!). My photography skills have improved enormously and understanding that a DSLR is a complex piece of equipment which can do incredible things is so rewarding. Will most likely continue with my developent and do the Diploma with PI.

Face to face workshops needed
It is an honor to be part of the Photography Institute. I would like to take this opportunity and suggest the institute to have physical workshops for the students. It is so important to discuss the issues in practice. In the workshops tutors can help the students to improve their skills by watching them while they are taking shots and give them feedback and show them the correct way.
Very in-depth photography course
Very in-depth photography course. I’ve learnt so much already and I’m only half way through!! Definitely recommend!
A photography course that fits into your schedule
I love the easy pace of the course which I can fit around work and life!
The content contains basic information, through to complex ideas and suggestions. The assignments have helped me get more creative and understand some of the more complex concepts of photography better and I think I'll be a better photographer as a result.
Fantastic
Excellent course, well worth the investment. Yes, there are free courses on YouTube etc, but this one really focuses you on what needs to be done to improve. I'm half way through and the results in my photography are obvious. Challenging, but thoroughly enjoyable, interesting and relevant. If you want to improve your skills and unlock your creativity then this is the course for you!

The content of each module is a building block, teaching the student to understand both the theory and the practical and enables the photographer to become proficient with their own camera. The course does not insist on a prescribed style but suggests ways to develop your own style. The feedback is timely and constructive.
