Italy Coronavirus

Hi,

I have round trip from Vienna - Catania on 7th March and 14th March back.

We did not take a flight due to Coronavirus.

Wizzair cancelled flight from Catania to Vienna on 10th March.

I do not really understand what Wizzair is waiting for as Italy is under quarantine completely.

I need my refund as it is completely wrong business process and decision.

Cancelled flight with no processing of refund request

My flight was cancelled and changed to two days before, when I cannot fly.
Therefore, I asked already 3 times for the refund and the company has not even processed my request.
Bad costumer service.

Total rip-off

Bought a ticket from Bucharest to Brussels and wanted to get in touch with them to ask them about cancellation\refund. As a contact method they only have a call center with premium fares (1.25 euros per minute). I was put on hold for 15 minutes and nobody answered. This was a total rip-off. This is the last time I book with Wizzair.

Bad experience with WizzAir

PAY ATTENTION TO ONLINE CHECK IN AND OVERBOOKED FLIGHTS

Unfortunately, I see myself forced to write a negative review for my first and only experience with Wizz Air. If you are a traveller or enjoy visiting new cities please take 2 mins to read this:

I had a flight from Berlin to Budapest on 6.12.2019, it was overbooked so I was denied boarding.

I contacted the airlines in the next day and until today I didn’t receive the compensation as per the EU regulations. I was accused of not showing up at the counter to take the denied boarding form.

This is not true because I showed up in the counter and was given back the check-in money in cash. In addition, I was granted a one night stay at the airport’s hotel and the officers clarified to me to claim the compensation online. So how can I not show up in the counter and take these?

I understand that an overbooked flight can just happen but what is not accepted is to spend 40+ days sending several emails to get the compensation.

At the moment I am not sure if this review will move something yet I think that when someone reads this will definitely think twice before booking with #Wizzair.

Never ever book parking with them

I booked my ticket in August 2019 for my flight in December 2019. I also booked the car parking from Wizz Air web site while booking the flight. Guess what, they cancelled my parking without notice and never told me. I only found out when I got to the car park. With one toddler and a small baby at 4 AM I was in hurry to find another car park and get to my flight. That was horrible....

However it didn't end there, according to the T&C they need to refund the parking, and guess what, even they confirmed they should have refunded, they haven't so far, in the last 3 months.

I will take this one to small claims court in UK. I don't see any otehr easy way.

Don't choose WIzzAir, they don't care about their customers

They don't even care enough to claim a profile on TrustPilot. WizzAir is claiming to be a low cost but extra and hidden costs make it the same price with reputable airlines (and other companies DO care about their customers)
They don't care about the customers and in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak in Italy they just don't want to refund or cancel the tickets. Bad service, bad attitude and will never choose them again.

Criminal organisation, fraudulent scam - do not use

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. I booked in Wizzair, first they pushed the flight back by a day from Bulgaria to London. Then upon accepting that, I get another email saying they have moved my flight from returning Sunday to returning Wednesday. To make things worse. they only give the option to get a credit to their side if you try to get your money back online. Upon complaining, they tell me I should have called their call center (note they charge massive fees to do so). This is effectively robbing their customers using a scam whereby they can only ever get credits back to the account, after changing flights by multiple days which I have never heard of.

Worst airline I have ever used

Worst airline I have ever used! I have worked in the travel industry for many years now and have never experienced passengers (on the same booking) being seated apart when seats are allocated at check in. Yes possibly if the flight is full and it isn’t possible to sit next to each other, however my flight was around 60% full, meaning you HAVE to pay for seat selection unless you are willing to wait until you get to the airport to change seats. Not possible when you have a fear of flying. There were many other problems I encountered. I will be avoiding them in the future and will not be recommending them to anyone.

Rude check-in staff, pitifull bag size checks

I’ve been using WizzAir for years and always travelled with a particular hand luggage. When boarding my latest flight departing from Paris, I was asked to pay 27 euro priority boarding because my hand luggage was too big. The truth is: it had the right dimmensions but the little wheels were sticking out at the bottom, adding around 3cm to the total lenght and preventing it from fitting in the luggage frame they have near the check-in desks. Besides, I neber before had problems with this particular hand luggage while travelling with WizzAir. It was also a return flight from Paris, after the bag had been accepted for my outbound flight.
I would have not been so upset if the lady at the check-in desk (in Paris Beauvois) would have been polite. But her attitute was very disrespectful. I believe they could show more respect for their customers.
I am dissapointed and I will not use WizzAir ever again, even if I used them for probably more than 20 times in the past. I prefer to pay more for a reputable airline rather than deal with such treatment. It felt like they didn’t care for their customers, they only cared for taking the extra money. Pitifull! I hope the 27 euro for 3cm of bag wheels was worth loosing two frequent clients.

Just don’t use them!

Just don’t use them!
They may look cheaper when you’re looking to book your package holiday. However they aren’t! Use Jet2, Ryanair or anyone, just don’t use these. The amount of hidden costs is scandalous.
I personally have used them once and that will be the only time. No such thing as a cheap deal or at least with this airline.

Thieves!

First, I couldn’t make a payment for a ticket. After 5th try, I paid but there was an issue with my booking so they forced me to call their support just to pay extra far a call, where the assistant told me that everything is fine. At the day of the flight, when I tried to make “check-in” there was another issue - I overpaid my ticket by £0.50 and based on that they refused me to flight this day!!!! Same story, I had to call them to resolve the “issue”. Paid £35 for a ticket and £20 for a calls. No words for that!

I think that this could classify as illegal practice

To start with, my son booked with WizzAir, not me. On 28/2/2020, he tried to check in for his flight. The would not let him because he had OVERPAID 3,6EUR... I really do not know how this is possible but any way, in order to proceed they asked him to contact customer service. To make a long story short, eventually there was only ONE OPTION. Call them and be charged! Otherwise he would be denied carriage!!!. Imagine what would have happened if he had underpaid (how is this possible?). So, he asked me to call them to resolve it. I called their Greek line and they answered in English... One way or the other, I hope that we managed to get him checked in. I do not know whether they learned how to return the 3,6EUR. I know that in the process their customer was left with no option but to be charged heavily for a phone call to their customer service. (In excess of 10EUR according to a message that I received from my phone company, and I do not know if anything else follows!) - All of the above can be shown on screenshots that I have taken.

HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE AND TERRIVEL Airlines Wizzair. Never fly in this fligth, show the low cost to win over passengers, and then you be tricked at the airport
after you have already bought the ticket
you will be mandatory to pay 28£ to take you small bag with you, the same bag that Easyjet and Ryanair do not have to pay, or else you will not be allowed to travel. It happened to me, they hindered me to travel today because I didn't have enough money to pay the small bag that
supposed to be free

Worst ailine in the world

Worst ailine in the world. Negative on every front. HIDDEN CHARGES !! be warned... after paying all the hidden charges your better off with BA OR EASYJET..

1 star: Bad

terrible

Seems cheap but hidden costs. We got charged £56 extra for hand luggage which easyJet and Ryanair allow. They seemed to make their own rules up as my sister in law on an earlier flight didn’t have to pay for hers. Some passengers were only a centimetre above the measure and were charged and only a small bag would fit in anyway. We were delayed outbound and home bound. The staff were rude and there was no customer service whatsoever. Outbound the steps out were not up to the door so there was a huge step down. We were called to the gate and had to wait in a boiling hot corridor for ages before boarding even though the flight was delayed already. The crew were a bit nicer coming home but overall a very upsetting and stressful experience.

low standard expensive airline - avoid

The stinkiest low-cost airline company in the world! They are so nasty and greedy that Ryanair seems a good company in comparison with them!
