HORRIBLE - UPDATE - THEY REPLY TO COMMENTS HERE LYING AND SAYING THEY WILL FIX THEIR MISTAKES BUT ITS BS THEY IGNORE YOUR EMAILS

Just absolutely laughable resume written for the CS field ( developer - computer engineer ). No idea what any of the terms were, terrible formatting, and just overall lazy. The team had terrible customer service as well, and I don't understand how they can be so apathetic about writing / fixing resumes when it's literally the only thing they do.

I was in a job search for over a year. I got zero interview requests using their documents. One month after I trashed them and reformatted/worded on my own, I was in the process for five companies.

Their formatting is difficult for ATS scanners to read. They didn't seem familiar with my desired job title, even though I asked for someone in my field.

Edit: August 12, 2024- I have not yet been contacted by customer service.

The rewrite of my resume was a total sham and worse than what I sent them. Apparently, there was a small window to reply (5 days or so), at which point they assumed the contract was closed and would not issue any form of refund despite not doing the work that was contracted for, which in my case included multiple rewrites of the resume and a rewrite of my LinkedIn page.

This is a scam. First, the resume is generated by very poorly worded AI. Second, they do not use native English speakers and it will not make any sense in English.

I paid for the top level package that included a resume rewrite, cover letter template and LinkedIn profile. Also paid extra for a call with the writer. The resume did not come back by the date committed even though I paid for the expedited service. After a call to support they did give a partial refund. The three written deliverables I got back sounded like they were all created with AI. I was disappointed in all of them. I shared my concerns in my call with the writer but he just kept responding with generic answers about the strategies he used. I purchased this in a Memorial Day sale but even with that it was not worth it. The cover letter is useless. Will be looking elsewhere or just reworking on my own.

Requested the order and completed the questionnaire on 05/22/24. Sent me an email on 05/24 "we haven't forgotten about you" but apparently they did. It's 05/29 and NO writer assigned, customer service just responded to my 5/24 email and suggested I "gift" my paid services to someone else for future use. This was the second time this occurred. They did the exact same thing to my husband's resume. Unprofessional, unresponsive and a waste of your time. Pay for the AI feature on Google. You'll have more control and won't have to deal with a garbage company.

I began by researching top resume writing services, and saw some very decent/good reviews for ZipJob. I didn't scroll far enough to see the negative reviews. Then again, that should be a sign...right? I was wrong.

It begins with a phone call from them about 4 business days into my purchase explaining that they are having trouble finding a writer for me and that they would match me soon. A full week later, I was matched with a writer. I completed their survey almost immediately giving plenty of quality information to start with in addition to a decently written resume already. My first draft came back just a couple of days later with nothing more than a template. It was an actual template, nothing filled in, just the template. I responded to the writer expressing my confusion and waited. One day, Two days, Three days and I finally decided I would call after not hearing back. They reached out to the writer and I was sent back a message saying they had technical difficulties in which he would attach the PDF immediately. Nothing was attached. I sent back a message shortly after, less than a day, explaining that nothing was attached. I waited one day, two days, three days and I finally called again without hearing anything. I was beginning to think this was a scam. I ended up talking to a guy named Bruce, though I was hesitant in thinking that is his real name. I explained that I wanted my money back and he stated that I just wait until Monday and something would be delivered to me. Sure enough, he was right. I got the most cookie cutter resume one could ever dream of. It's been 3 weeks and many jobs that I have wanted have come and gone. There is a short season for hiring school principals.

I did offer suggestions so I am waiting to hear back now, but I figured I may as well keep with the pattern of giving another 3 days to hear back before I will have to call again. I am highly disappointed with the service and the quality from the company and will advise as many people as possible from using this service.

UPDATE:
They did finally respond with a resume that looked as if it was completely built by AI. This was a 2 page resume that tries to use every buzz word possible for a principal resume. Anyone who works in education knows that this is not a good idea. I even suggested this to the writer and never got a response. When I asked for a refund, they got back to me promptly with this resume. They then closed my ticket immediately not allowing me a chance to work with the writer to make any adjustments. This is after they told me the window would be left open because the writer only responded every 3rd to 4th day.

For my troubles, they offered me a free thank you letter. This confirms my beliefs that this is one of the worst services I had ever received. Choose a different service.

Great experience. I was recently laid off and the thought of updating my resume right after a slight kick in the self-confidence felt daunting. I decided to have my resume professionally tweaked to ensure my readiness to apply and secure a new role. I was quickly matched to a writer who listened to my concerns and needs and moved quickly to get an excellent re-write in my hands! He kept the intent of my resume while optimizing for ATS and still addressing the items I was not happy with in my “before” resume. Thanks to Murphey at ZipJob, I’m now ready!!!

Taylor the assigned writer did a good job on my resume rewrite and cover letter. The feedback I gave was easily incorporated and what I liked is that the writer was communicating well and fast. My LinkedIn profile was optimized as well matching my resume. The strategies employed were well explained .

My writer was prompt in her responses. She gave wonderful feedback to suggestions that I had and explained how they may help or hinder my resume. She also found was to incorporate my ideas to make my resume as successful as possible.

I purchased the $269 package which was to include a resume, a cover letter and a Linked In profile. The resume was to include two edits.

The first draft of my resume was sent a week after promised. It was nothing more than a copy/paste of the resume I sent them to upgrade, into another person’s formatted resume. I know this because they forgot to delete the other person’s details out of my “draft”. I paid $50 more to have a half hour phone call to clear things up. First my call was canceled by zipjob after the last second. I say it like that because I did not find out until after I had been waiting for somebody to join the call during the designated time. I had to wait another week. When the call happened, it was not clear that the person understood what I wanted to see, and the call kept breaking up. I was told it must be my fault. The call, which was promised to be 30 minutes, was only 19 minutes with approximately half of that time being waiting for the line to stop breaking up. I was told that the next draft was on its way.

After a week of no draft, and me attempting to contact them with no response, I called to ask for a refund. I was told that I did not receive anything further as my order was closed. Then they said they would send the refund request for review and that I would hear back within 2 days. After waiting another week, I called back. I was assured I would hear back within 24 hours. After another day, I called back and was told to keep waiting. A few hours later, my refund request was declined. Instead, they offered me more of their unsatisfactory, highly unprofessional “service”.

I have since issued a complaint with PayPal to intervene on my behalf. I should have a resolution by early June.

ZipJob is a scam. Proceed at your own risk.

worthless.. Could have just used AI and set a stack of money on fire. I have submitted over 200 applications for jobs I am well qualified or even over qualified for and not a single response. Going to have to pay a more reputable company to redo. Save your money and invest in a proper writer. Their reviews on site are fake

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the resume writing service provided by ZipJob, which I began using on April 3, 2024. I was assigned a writer named Robert who, disappointingly, only copy-pasted the content of my existing resume without making any meaningful changes or improvements.

Upon noticing this, I immediately raised my concerns with their customer support, expecting a swift resolution such as a full refund or reassignment to a more competent writer. However, my complaints have been met with nothing but inefficiency and a lack of accountability. Despite multiple communications, ZipJob has neither refunded me nor provided a suitable alternative to rectify their substandard service.

This experience has not only wasted my time and money but has also caused significant frustration due to their non-responsive demeanor and the critical nature of the service they failed to properly deliver. I trusted ZipJob with something as important as my professional representation, and they have utterly failed to meet the basic standards expected of a professional resume writing service.

I urge potential customers to consider this experience as a testament to the lack of professionalism and customer care exhibited by ZipJob. I am now forced to escalate this issue publicly to seek resolution and to advise others to steer clear of their services to avoid similar disappointment.

It is concerning that despite the urgency of this matter and my desire for a satisfactory resolution, I have not been contacted by a member of your support team. Additionally, I have found that contacting your customer support team directly has not been effective, either due to their limited knowledge in addressing queries or prolonged response times of up to two days.

Given the importance of this issue and my expectation of timely and effective communication, I kindly request that you expedite the process and ensure that a member of your support team contacts me promptly.

I remain hopeful that we can swiftly address this matter and restore my confidence in your company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I chose this company because it had relatively good reviews. First, I took a good deal of time and effort to provide all the information on the questionnaire. Then I received my first draft which was filled with errors and questions. That is expected in a first draft. I answered all of the questions. Again, I took time to provide all of the information I could to make my qualifications clear. What I received back was a resume that was drafted through ChatGPT and sent to me. There were inconsistencies, spelling and grammatical errors, and “achievements” listed that I didn’t do nor did I ever say I did. I expressed my unhappiness with the services to both the writer and customer service, but I was assured he would fix it. So again I made detail markups of the resume and sent it back. The resume I received was a bit better and I put my trust in the company when I was assured it would sail past ATS software. After 2 months with no interviews, I reached out to ZipJob as I had the 60-day guarantee. All I got was the offer to have it redone. After another month, I ended up meeting with a professional career coach who reviewed my resume and pointed out all of the aspects that would get it tossed by ATS immediately. I have reached out to the company and asked for my money back because they failed to render the services I paid for - an ATS friendly resume. They will not offer me a refund. They offered to rewrite it, but honestly with what I got after all of the time I put into providing information, I don’t think it’s worth it. I don’t trust wasting more time in this process. This company does not care about customers. They just use AI and take your money.
