Many drone functions useless and not prepared to deal with it.

After searching online and finding Drones Direct - ‘drone buying guide’. I thought I was going to be dealing with a semi-reputable company.
This is not the case.

Making my order on the 24th October, I was a bit put off when it took the confirmation email about three hours to come through.
The package however did arrive fairly quickly maybe within 2-3 days.

I opened the package at the earliest opportunity and read the manual. Downloaded the software ‘XSW UFO’, featured in the video and the promotional material and the manual.
It didn’t work, making all the camera functions useless and much of the information featured in the manual, maybe half of it in terms of the drones functionality, useless as well.

As soon as I discovered this, I sent a message to drones direct, according to their returns policy.
In due course I received an automated response which quote “We will contact you by the end of the next working day”. Three days later, someone sent me an SMS message to my phone. No name, or introduction, just asking how far I could get with the app before it stopped working. I assumed it was from Drones Direct and replied, something to the effect that the app didn’t function at all.

I’ve heard nothing back 9 days later.

I’ve now got a drone that doesn’t work... I’m not a teenager, I’m not interested in flying a drone around for fun, it was bought for a specific purpose. A purpose for which it doesn’t work.

Now, nearly 14 days on, Drones Direct are showing no interest in dealing with my case. I assume they’re thinking, because they don’t make the software featured in their MANUAL, they can worm out of giving me my money back.

I don’t think things are going to work out like that….

I would recommend reading their ‘Guide to Drones’, and buying elsewhere.

Not a good company.

This is a dodgy company.

Got my credit card through the post the other day. Wasn't able to activate it, also not able to carry out any logging in or verification to access or view spending.
Basically useless.
Rang and spoke to customer service.
They told me it was because of 'dodgy internet connection, or re-install the app'.
Monkeys with telephones. It was of course neither of these, but you've got this ignorance barrier which basically means it's not worth going any further.
I cancelled the card.
This is the second useless product I've had with Virgin Money.
The first was a useless savings account. No-where in the online account could you find the interest-rate. You had to log out and go onto a comparison website or search through promotional material.
This is a dodgy company.

The surveys are fun and well designed.

The surveys are fun and well designed.
The gifts are good quality, branded products and other non-known brand items.
There's a large selection of gifts. Some aren't in stock. Most are.
Sometimes they pay you back 'shells' for surveys you've completed where you've been underpaid. This is something other survey sites don't do. Usually, they don't pay you at all.
It's a nice site. And it works well.

Had a problem with my 11 month old tab…

Had a problem with my 11 month old tab A ceasing to work whilst I was 4000 miles away on holiday in Nepal.
Informed customer service, who asked some questions and made me attempt recovery steps. None of the steps worked as the tablet was totally unresponsive. When I made this clear, and after some explanation, the customer service assistant passed it to their manager for action.
The next day, the manager contacted me and advised me to keep hold of the tablet until I returned to the UK, at which point it would have been out of warranty.
They gave me the case/incident number.
When I returned to the UK, I contacted them with the incident number.
They made me replay some steps with another customer service assistant, which were slightly more in depth than the first lot.
They didn't work.
I told them again it was unresponsive. This is my only gripe about the customer service experience, they don't seem to know the meaning of the word 'unresponsive'.
They agreed and passed it to their courier,UPS . Within 48hrs, we'd arranged a pick up time and the tablet was picked up from my home address.
I had email notifications from UPS about the progress of my shipment throughout.
I got an email from Samsung the tablet had arrived at their support centre.
By the end of the week I had it back.
5/5 for after sales service. End to end, with a few questions asked and a little repetitive, but overall, good.

TBH I've done surveys with this company …

TBH I've done surveys with this company online and through focus froups and got paid £50 for maybe an hour or so focus group.
They aren't that bad.
My experience with the TV and Radio is the same as others. It's gone completely downhill.
It's now a waste of time.
The points are worth nothing, if you receive them at all.
It's a completely broken model.
That's the reason I give them the rating I do.
I know they do valuable research in other areas.
This is just bringing their reputation down.
I f they're not taking it seriously they should just close it down.

This is a very dodgy site.

This is a very dodgy site.
I've been with them since February.
I've done a lot of surveys and had a couple of problems in the past.

Two recent surveys I did do:-
1) Fast Food: Did a survey yesterday with McDonalds. Took half an hour or so. Felt quite proud to pass on my valued information about fast food experiences in McDonalds and other fast food restaurants. 250 Point reward. Got right to the end and the interview said I had been 'screened out'.
2) Gaming survey: GTM said it was a 15 minute survey for 15 points. Took over 30 minutes and I got half the amount. Total joke.

What used to be a quite pass-time is now a insulting joke.
I would avoid this site.

Breach their terms of service to save money

Try being a seller on ebay.
Buyers can return your products for any reason, without question.
If you select 'no returns', this has no meaning whatsoever.
The fees are high and the customer service is non-existent.
I was a member of ebay for 13 years.
Someone returned one of my computer components, which was working in the computer and then sent straight to him.
He said it wasn't working, didn't provide ANY supporting evidence, paypal automatically found for him, without any evidence of fault and refunded him right back, plus tried to charge me fees on the transaction.
When you take faulty goods back to a shop, they don't just hand you the money back, you have to actually show them the fault.
This is less than the service you get from ebay. As a seller, they breach their terms of service to you, and always find in favour of the seller.
There is no appeal case any longer, because ebay doesn't wish to pay money to employ humans to oversee such cases.
This company needs to eat Strychnine, roll over and die a slow a painful death.

I would recomend this site for anyone wanting the best price for tyres

Is like a comparison site for tyres.
Easily the cheapest, but well designed with the ratings and prices for a range of tyres.
It made it easy to pick the tyres which were the most suitable.
The price was the best I could find.
You can select which day you want them to be fitted, and pick your local garage.
They couldn't fit them in the time-slot I picked, but they moved me to an alternative one in a very polite way.

Dodgy company

Dodgy company. Have been doing surveys with them for a number of months. Took part in a 'panel' on invitation. This was a three week diary at the end of which I'd receive £20 into my account.
3 days over 3 weeks, I filled in the diary. I waited 2 weeks for payment to arrive. It didn't. 3 months later they paid me half what was promised.
Also, they make you log in through facebook account, so that they can spam publicity to all your friends.
Even if you've done 100 surveys with them, the javascript on the log-in does not to work. You have to log-in using your facebook account, or using an email to complete a survey.
Lying and dodgy company.

Caused consfusion

By making up the details on the deliver card. Either that or he just didn't bother to ring the bell. Either way, people were upset.
The product was 'signed for' but left behind a plant pot. My plants have not yet evolved to sign, and nor would I authorise them to do so.

If you want a proper service that does what it says on the tin. Look elsewhere.
