Would have rated this excellent torque…unable to undo end cap

Would have rated this excellent torque tool but had great difficulty unscrewing the end cap from the bar, unable to undo it until I used two pairs of grips.
If you buy this tool and the end is difficult to unscrew the gold end send it back,
