Sometimes interesting. I sued to wonder "who fills in these surveys" sports glad to be part of the community.

we purchased annual insurance (with additional Covid cover). Our holiday was cut short. We were offered a derisory discount voucher by the holiday company. Staysure wouldn't help or cover the difference. Any voucher no matter how small or limited meant they didn't have to bother - didn't get what we paid for. Will never trust them again

The Hotel went into lockdown on it's own, Egypt than ordered a repatriation.
We read the policy carefully beforehand and only booked the holiday at relatively short notice because we beleived we covered having purchased a joint annual policy
The following are copy and paste from the staysure documents issued at the time of purchase.

You are not covered to cancel or cut short your trip as a result of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (ECO) or the World Health Organisation (WHO) or other regulatory authority issuing a directive against all but essential travel to/from your travel destination for reasons other than earthquake, fire, flood or hurricane, unless you have the Optional Travel Disruption
cover added to your travel policy.

Personally I believe George @ staysure's response, as well as how they dealt with us, speak volumes! It simply doesn't match their wording!
Staysure won't catch us twice! (although sadly we donated many years in the past and never needed to claim first time we tried we laernt how much our custom and policy was worth!)

Im sorry to hear you are dissapointed regarding making a claim.
Sadly in our policy wording it does not list under cutting short your trip coverage for when the FCDO or regional/National government impose a lockdown.

There were two issues with the order, neither of which were FastLec's fault, one with their supply having incorrect stock levels and my misordering. Both problems were resolved very swiftly and sensibly.
