An Update to My Previous Review

This is an update to my previous review. After some hiccups with Robb Vices, I am happy to report that they are delivering as promised. I just love getting boxes from them!! They introduce me to things I would not have otherwise tried!

No Meal Received, No Refund as Requested!!

The week of 2/12/21, I never received my order due to the winter storm. I have contacted Home Chef 4 times requesting a refund to my credit card so that I can cancel my account. This is not the first time I have had shipping issues with Home Chef. Their customer service rep, Lara, and her lackadaisical attitude about the fact that I rely on that weekly shipment and there was no food in our grocery stores in TX, on top of lack of power and water, is the straw that broke the camel's back. Now Home Chef has added a credit to my account, for a future order, when I made it clear to Lara and in subsequent requests that I want to cancel my account . It's apparent they are attempting to strong arm me into keeping their service. I am beyond over it with them. As it was too late to stop my 2/19/21 shipment, I received it and the bell pepper they sent with one of the meals was moldy. As other reviewers have stated, the recipes started being repetitive. I have been a customer since late 2019, but I am no longer interested in giving this company my money.

UPDATE: Called HomeChef and sat on hold for 10 minutes before hanging up ... no warm body, nothing. I will take my credit for one final order with them and then cancel my account. Bye.

I signed up in May 2020 and received my…

I signed up in May 2020 and received my first box in June. Since then, I have only received 2 boxes ... it's now November, yet I am being charged monthly. You have to email them and they respond by telling you that because their items are curated, it may take until the very end of a month to receive your item. I accepted that, but what I do not wish to accept is the fact that I have been billed for 6 months now and only received 3 boxes. Their website is a nightmare ... they give you zero info on your account and claim their shipping emails have a tracking number ... again, that is not true. I received an email October 24 about what would be my 4th box, and here we are on Nov 8 and zero box. All of the items I have received thus far can be purchased at Total Wine, with exception of the tequila, which they claim is worth $225. Don't believe it.
