Droplet in the ocean

My DO server (created via Cloudways) failed to restart after never having a problem before. TWELVE HOURS LATER, DO still not responded back to CW, so the only known fact was that it could not be reached via the network (very obvious). Ping was working though, so I left a 1 second ping writing to a log for 12 hours. There was not one interruption, meaning DO most likely did absolutely bugger all to the server during that whole period (no starting/stopping). After 14 hours still with no info from DO, I decided to bite the bullet and asked Cloudways to restore from backup (to a Vultr server - goodbye DO). Had to re-key a day of orders and product updates manually, but there was no indication whatsoever from DO if/when the server would be fixed whilst I'm continuing to lose hundreds in sales and reputational damage. My advice: don't use DO unless you're able to restore from your own DR backup quickly, because you are quite literally just a 'Droplet' in their Digital Ocean.
