Bobs Watches was a very pleasant experience largely influenced by Rob Phan. Their offer was 2x what I was quoted locally. Rob answered all my questions, responded timely and was knowledgeable and reassuring. Completed sale at top of price quote and received funds in 2 days. All in all was professional and easy. If I could give Rob more stars I would.

I recently purchased a Rolex SeaDweller from Bobs. I dealt with Harrison who was prompt courteous and knowledgeable about his products. I was pleasantly surprised when they not only met but exceeded my expectations of this experience. The overnight delivery, the ease of the wire transfer and especially the quality of the sales associate, Harrison, all ensure I’ll recommend and return myself for future watch needs.

Verify, then trust

Bob’s Watches claims there was a “misunderstanding.” There was not. The transcript shows repeated, unequivocal representations by Bob’s Watches that the Breitling International Factory Warranty was active through 2029.

July 20, 2026

My initial question:

Is the Breitling international warranty active?

Ludo (Bob’s Watches):

“Yes, the Breitling 2026 international factory warranty is active and valid.”

Later that same day I specifically requested the warranty expiration date.

My question:

What is the exact expiration date of the Breitling international warranty?

Ludo replied:

“The Breitling International Warranty is active and valid through 2029.”

I also asked whether I would be able to register the watch with Breitling.

Ludo replied:

“Breitling warranties are tied to the watch itself rather than to an individual owner, so the warranty follows the watch.”

Those representations were material to my purchase decision.

After Delivery

When the watch arrived, Breitling’s website would not allow registration and reported:

“Watch registration incomplete. It looks like your e-Warranty wasn’t activated.”

I immediately contacted Bob’s Watches.

I asked for:

* documentation showing warranty activation,
* the activation date,
* the authorized Breitling dealer,
* proof the warranty was active.

Instead of saying there had been any misunderstanding, Bob’s Watches repeatedly assured me the warranty was active.

Examples include:

“It is active.”

“Breitling themselves activated it when we bought a bulk last month.”

“My CFO will come back to me ASAP.”

“In case the warranty is not active for real, my CFO can have it activated very fast.”

“By the end of today.”

Later that day:

“My CFO emailed Breitling. They’ll activate the warranty.”

These statements acknowledge that Bob’s Watches understood the issue and undertook to have the warranty activated.

July 23

After Bob’s Watches worked with Breitling, I was finally able to register the watch.

However, Breitling showed:

* Original sale date: December 18, 2025
* Warranty expiration: December 19, 2027

—not through 2029 as repeatedly represented before the sale.

I immediately notified Bob’s Watches:

“Good news—I was able to register the watch today… However, Breitling shows the warranty is valid only until December 19, 2027, whereas I was told before purchase that it was active through 2029.”

I further explained:

“I purchased the watch based in part on the representation that it carried a factory warranty through 2029.”

I asked only for a reasonable goodwill accommodation reflecting the materially shorter warranty.

Bob’s Watches ultimately refused.

Why this was not a misunderstanding

This was not a case where I misunderstood the warranty.

Bob’s Watches repeatedly and specifically represented:

* the Breitling International Factory Warranty was active;
* it was valid through 2029;
* those statements were repeated in response to my direct questions;
* after delivery, Bob’s Watches acknowledged there was a warranty activation problem and promised to resolve it;
* once activated, the official Breitling records showed the warranty expired in December 2027, nearly two years earlier than represented.

The transcript demonstrates that I relied on Bob’s Watches’ repeated representations when purchasing the watch. Their later characterization of this as a “misunderstanding” is inconsistent with their own written statements before and after the sale.

I recommend that anyone buying a pre-owned luxury watch advertised with a factory warranty independently verify both the warranty status and expiration date before completing the transaction as Bob's Watches is not a factory authorized dealer.

The watch deserves five stars, but the inaccurate warranty information and the effort required to resolve it reduce my overall experience.

The watch was exactly as described--authentic, in excellent condition, and competitively priced. However, the transaction was complicated by an inaccurate warranty representation. The watch was advertised with a Breitling factory warranty through 2029, but after delivery I discovered the warranty claims made by Bob's were false.

Unfortunately #BobsWatches and #Breitling chose not to offer any warranty adjustment or other assistance.

Luxury brands are remembered not only for the products they create but for how they respond when a customer has a disappointing experience. I had hoped that my first interaction with Bob's Watches would leave me feeling welcomed into the Bob's family. Instead, I am left feeling that policy has taken precedence over an opportunity to create a loyal lifelong customer.

#bobswatches should honor and provide an extended warranty since Bob's Watches made the mistake.

Quoted $6,500, paid $5,600 — and told my wire was sent when it wasn't.

I sold two watches to Bob's Watches (a Grand Seiko and a Cartier) and was quoted $6,500 for both. After in-person inspection, the offers were reduced — the Grand Seiko from $3,500 to $2,700 and the Cartier from $3,000 to $2,900. The Grand Seiko was still under manufacturer warranty, and in my opinion the sharp reduction on it wasn't justified.

The payment experience was the real problem. On Friday I was told in writing that my wire had been processed, with funds arriving by Monday at the latest. The wire confirmation their own staff later sent me shows the wire wasn't actually created and authorized until Monday afternoon. In the meantime, my sales rep was unresponsive to multiple emails and calls, and their rep apologized in writing for the delay. Funds arrived end of day Monday.

They may be a fine option for buying, but based on my experience I wouldn't recommend them for selling.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’d like to provide some additional context. The original quote was based on the information available before inspection, and as is standard in the industry, final offers are determined after our team evaluates each watch in person for things like condition, originality, and current market demand. After inspection, the offers were adjusted accordingly. We are always happy to send watches back, no questions asked, if customers choose not to move forward at that point.

Regarding payment, we can confirm that your watches were inventoried on Monday and that a wire transfer for $5,600 was completed that same day. We always strive to be as transparent as possible and are sorry to hear that your communications were not responded to as promptly as expected. When you later expressed dissatisfaction with the transaction, our CFO responded directly, offering to reverse the sale entirely and return both watches upon repayment of the funds. While we're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, we appreciate your feedback. We strive to communicate clearly throughout every transaction and are always looking for ways to improve the experience for both buyers and sellers.

One has to straight up chuckle

One has to straight up chuckle, there is an old saying, You can put lipstick on a pawn shop, but it is still a Pawn shop. You may even get a better deal going straight to a pawn shop. I have a New Old Stock Breitling 12019, never been worn, it is over 20 yrs old. They want me to provide the box and paper work for the watch, it was bought at Hyde Park in Denver Colorado, the store has changed hands and they do not keep paper work going back 20 plus yrs. This watch was a gift to me when I learned to fly. Their assumption is it is stolen, I suspect they will come up with some BS answer to this review, The IRS only requires 7 yr of records, ole Billy Bob, I guess wants a life time of records. Read this review chuckle and walk away from doing business with them.

Note: State laws do not require you to have documentation, to sell a watch, that is straight up BS, ole billy bob is just a scam artist. As I mentioned in my original post, ole billy bob would come up with some BS answer, and guess what he did.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It appears you misunderstood the process and the questions our associate was asking you. To clarify, requesting boxes, papers, or any available documentation is not an assumption that a watch is stolen. In the secondary watch market, original accessories and provenance can significantly impact both authenticity verification and market value, especially for older or new old stock watches like your Breitling.

As a reputable secondhand dealer, Bob’s Watches is also required to follow strict state regulations, including verifying seller identification and reporting purchased merchandise to the appropriate Department of Justice database. These procedures are standard compliance measures designed to protect both buyers and sellers and are part of operating responsibly within the pre-owned luxury watch industry.

We certainly understand that many watches from 20+ years ago no longer have their original paperwork, and lacking papers does not automatically disqualify a watch from being evaluated or purchased. Our team simply requests as much supporting information as possible to help provide the most accurate and competitive offer.

We do appreciate you considering Bob’s Watches and hope to have the opportunity to do business with you again one day.

I saw a Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean on website that i had been looking for, I wanted the 42 mm size. I asked about it's availability, quickly had response that it was available. I ordered it on 5/14, it shipped on the 15th and arrived on the 16th. Watch is near perfect. Couldn't be more pleased. One comment, they should ask about buyer's wrist size. These guys absolutely stink

These guys absolutely stink. I have a nice platinum Rolex Yachtmaster and I heard good things about them, probably from people who have not dealt with them, and I asked for a quote. The first offer I got was $7480, which I thought was decent, but after looking at Ebay thought I might be able to do better. A few days later then sent me a new offer of $7040, and mentioned they would have to deduct $600 from that for a rebuild and a polish. I went to a local shop and they said they had a qualified tech who could do the rebuild and polish for $375. Then they sent me a third offer for $6840. I guess their theory is they will keep lowering the price until I am paying them to take it off my hands. A bold strategy, but it might not work. Avoid these drooling morons at all cost!!!

Hi Chase, we appreciate you considering us for your platinum Rolex. We understand your frustration. It sounds like your first offer was an initial quote based on information you submitted online. Once the watch arrives here at Bob's and we have the chance to examine it in person, quotes can change, although not always. It depends on any servicing or other work that needs to be done to bring the watch into tip-top, ready-to-wear condition for the next lucky owner. We never profit from any of those costs, and we never lower offers on purpose after the fact as part of a larger strategy. Our goal is to provide the highest possible offers for our customers while maintaining the quality inventory our company is known for. Thank you for the opportunity to share why offers can change from time to time. We welcome the opportunity to work with you again the next time you need to buy or sell another watch: 800-494-3708.

I sent in my Rolex and the final offer came in slightly lower than the estimate because it needed a new crystal. What I appreciated is that they only deducted their actual cost of $100 when a jeweler would have charged around $300+ for the same repair. That felt very fair and transparent.

Hello - Thanks for the positive words. That’s exactly how we approach offers when pricing a customer's watch. Any adjustments are based solely on the actual cost of the work required, nothing more. In this case, the crystal replacement is a great example. Rather than inflating repair costs, we simply pass along what we’re charged so everything is as fair and transparent as possible. Bob's watches used shady business practices on me.

I tried giving Bob's watches my business, but I learned, in my opinion, they are still doing shady business practices from my experience 1 year ago with them. I tried trading my solid Rose Gold Omega 57 in for a old reference Rolex Daytona. My watch is still listed on Jaztime at $30,399. I was contacted by a salesperson Bryant Adjei who flat out told me that he used Ebay and Chrono 24 to value my watch and he could only give me $9,000. I said if we are going to use those types of unreliable sites to determine a value of a watch then I will value your Rolex the SAME WAY. I looked up Bob's Rolex Daytona value at $15,000 and Bryant agreed the Rolex Daytona on Bob's is the same, 1 year newer. Through emails, Bryant Adjei made me believe we had a wholesale to wholesale deal. Which I agreed to.

Shortly after, Bryant Adjei emailed me back and said no. Then Joe Alessandrini got involved and I asked him to explain why you would say my Gold Omega which still has 4 years under factory warranty and is in perfect condition, be valued by Bob's watches at such a low value and he would not answer me. They made me believe we had a deal, then they backed out. The deal would make sense, using the two sites to determine the value of both watches.

I believe based on how I was treated that Bob's watches used shady used car dealership tactics to try and get me to take their ridiculous offer. I would do your do diligence when even trying to make a deal with Bob's Watches. They really treated me like some uneducated person who just says yes to their shady sales tactics. This was my personal experience and beliefs with Bob's Watches.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we want to clarify a few points about how our process works.

All trade-in and purchase offers are based on current wholesale market conditions, not retail asking prices. Listings on platforms like Chrono24 or dealer sites often reflect optimistic retail pricing, while our offers are grounded in what similar watches are actively trading for between dealers, along with condition, service needs, and market demand at the time of evaluation.

We also want to be clear that we don’t commit to deals until all details are fully reviewed and aligned on both sides. If there was any confusion during that process, that’s certainly not the experience we were going for.

Our goal is always to present fair, transparent offers based on real market data, without pressure or obligation. We're happy to speak to you directly about your offer if you wish at 800-494-3708.

Scam

I sent them my original purchase watch that had been worn 5 times. We agreed to a price and I shipped it to them. After receiving the watch, they told me they would have to deduct a $1000 for service (watch works perfectly), polish and a new leather strap! Wow! I told them to send my watch back. We will see if I even get it back. Buyer beware

We appreciate the opportunity to evaluate your watch and understand your frustration with the updated offer. To clarify, all watches that come through us undergo a full inspection process. If anything is needed to bring the watch up to our resale standards after we inspect the watch in person, whether that’s servicing, polishing, or replacing a worn strap, those costs are factored into the final offer. This is standard practice across the secondary market and helps ensure the next buyer receives the watch in proper, ready-to-wear condition. We’re happy to take a second look at the evaluation to make sure everything was assessed accurately. If you prefer not to move forward, your watch will, of course, be returned to you, no questions asked. If you'd like an update on its status, just give us a call at 800-494-3708.
