Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 114 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently mentioned that the official website is frustrating to navigate, pointing out constant pop-ups and mandatory logins before viewing any content. Consumers feel that the platform forces them to share sensitive personal details and submit their own reviews just to read basic information. Though some customers noted that the platform is useful for gathering general information about company culture, many still struggled with account access issues. Reviewers additionally reported that the difficult navigation and unhelpful user interfaces often fail to provide proper details, leading to frequently deleted submissions.

Such a trash platform

Such a trash platform. I have reviewed every company I’ve ever worked for and included most info you can. Yet every single time I go to see anything, I’m blocked access in order to submit a review. Why even bother when you can just use AI?

Business can pay to reject negative reviews

This job review site has gone worst over the past years.

I tried to post negative job interview today and to find out it has been rejected automatically within seconds not even a minute which lead me to see through my account and find out.

Several of my job interview posts has been removed through automated and past interviews posts which were approved before because it was negative and high rating within the site but for some reasons all of my positive interview experience is still up online its weird how the rules seems to be extremely 1 sided.

What an absolute farce of a platform

What an absolute farce of a platform. They heavily censor reviews so you basically can't say anything negative without your review being taken down. If you forget that you reviewed an employer (and it was taken down) and then try to review them again in future, they will immediately take down your review and BAN you from ever reviewing or contributing again, no questions asked. It's a complete joke. They would not tell me why my review was taken down, other than to say it did not meet guidelines. They said it named specific staff members. It did not. Even after multiple edits, they wouldn't post it.

The reason so many people end up being screwed over by unscrupulous employers is entirely down to this platforms censorship and removal of honest reviews. Management should be ashamed. And customer service staff (or it could even be AI) send canned responses to any complaints. Appalling!!

Find a new job search engine and protect your personal data

Now that Glassdoor.com is part of Indeed.com they require you to log into their site just to look at open jobs. They now want and e-mail address and phone number for the sake of "user security". If I am not going to apply for a job and am just randomly looking at the available jobs then my "security" isn't in jeopardy.

I could understand needing this information if I was applying for a job or post a resume through their site. I even reached out to Indeed about this and explained what I have expressed in this review. They absolutely did not care in the least what I had to say.

To me this is just data gathering scam so they can sell our user information without our prior consent to third parties and job headhunter organizations.

One of the worst experiences I've had

One of the worst experiences I've had on a job site. Almost everything is hidden behind a wall, so you have to sign in and create an account just to see anything. Then they require you to connect an Indeed account, which defeats the purpose of using Glassdoor in the first place. After that, they make you submit extra information that is labeled optional but won't let you continue until you fill it in. They even push you to link your phone number.

All I wanted was to see the salary range for people in the position I'm targeting at a specific company. That shouldn't take four steps and a pile of personal data. I stopped using Indeed a long time ago because it was mostly low-paying and scam listings, so being forced to connect to it makes this even worse.

If a site's main value is transparency, it shouldn't make users jump through hoops to get it. Show the salary data up front, or at least make the extra steps truly optional.

They require phone number after e-mail verification on reviews

Went to leave a review of my horrible company and did e-mail code activation after filling out my review. Then they require a phone activation. They've already verified my e-mail. I know they sell that information, they have no business as a review site to know my private phone number.

It crashes often

It crashes often.
It removes my reviews. It sends me emails with links to update the review, but the links never work.
It takes me days to login on and off to check if the review is published or removed.
It asks for companies websites. Not every company has website. Some use Facebook and LinkedIn.

What a disgrace of a platform

What a disgrace of a platform. A total mess of nothingness and endless blurring demanding you input when you have no reason to input. You cannot simply read reviews and job done. Do not waste your time on it. Sadly though we so need proper honest feedback about places like UK schools. We do not want schools from other countries popping up or rubbish content. What a disappointment.

Like everyone else that has reviewed…

Like everyone else that has reviewed Glassdoor I find that since they have been bought by the Japanese Corporation that owns Indeed they no longer publish any negative reviews of employers. The whole point of Glassdoor was that you can learn what a company is like before applying to avoid wasting time at a bad company. It looks like Glassdoor will just become an advertising platform for companies and employers. It is no longer on the side of the job applicant or employee.

Extreme double standards that destroy reputations and mental health

Glassdoor has become one of the worst platforms out there due to its toxic double standards. They allow disgruntled employees to post outright lies that destroy a company's hard-earned reputation, yet employers are left virtually defenseless and unable to effectively defend themselves.Even worse is their bizarre policy regarding who you can target. They allow users to publicly tear down and speak negatively about C-suite executives, but protect other employees. Here is a shocking newsflash: C-suite executives are human beings too. Allowing unchecked, anonymous defamation completely destroys their mental health. Glassdoor shields itself behind "transparency" while actively facilitating harassment and corporate bullying. It is an unethical platform that does far more harm than good.

I can't even use it

I can't even use it! I tried just going on and forced to connect to Indeed. I didn't even have a way to cancel and skip. Then it wanted all this info, even personal info that it didn't even need. Once again, no way to cancel or back out so I just closed the tab. Reeks of scam and phishing and wanting info to make money. Horrible!

Pay-to-Play Culture: How Glassdoor Silences Workers and Protects Bad Employers

Glassdoor has increasingly become a tool for employers rather than a reliable resource for job seekers. Many companies hire PR and HR teams—or use AI—to flood the platform with coordinated, glowing five-star reviews published in suspicious batches. Meanwhile, Glassdoor fails to catch these obvious manipulations, yet it aggressively removes genuine negative feedback from real employees without clear justification.

Ultimately, the platform appears to prioritize paying corporate clients over protecting workers. If you want honest insights into a company's culture, skip Glassdoor entirely and check communities like Reddit instead.

Can't access anything useful on this…

Can't access anything useful on this site unless you go through a lengthy sign up process. Then, you have to visit the unsub section or you will get all sorts of emails all the time. This is just a site to host job listings and company info... should not have to sign up for it. Use AI to get the data instead.

Glassdoor and/or the company will remove your post

I find it very funny that when I posted my honest reviews of my experience working for Pyramid Global Hospitality that now both of those posts have been removed by Glassdoor and/or The David Rubenstein Forum (Pyramid Global Hospitality) and each time I apply for any Pyramid Global Hospitality job, my application gets denied!! It's definitely retaliation from the company itself and HR from The David Rubenstein Forum. I know this because the HR representative from the David Rubenstein Forum reached out to me after I posted a review that's my experience and didn't go against the Glassdoor policy. What's the point of posting an honest review if Glassdoor and Pyramid Global Hospitality is going to remove your review to save their company?! Throughout my tenure with this company, I was always told I could apply and transfer to other Pyramid Global Hospitality locations and positions as long as I'm qualified. I'm definitely qualified but it feels like someone put a "don't rehire" note on my name because I asked upper management to look into an issue for me, and neglect of that issue resulted in me quitting my favorite job of 3 years.

Greedy thirst for personal data

They want far too much personal data to access the site. They've gone downhill the last year of so - it used to be very useful, but I am NOT going to provide my phone number just to log in. That is not okay and it should not be mandatory.
