Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 683 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently express dissatisfaction with the platform's functionality and user experience, finding it quite frustrating. Consumer feedback strongly suggests significant issues with the social media features and the website’s operational side. Conversely, a small portion of people felt the platform remains a valuable avenue for professional networking and connecting with peers. However, some users noted that the system is overly restrictive, experiencing profile lockdowns that are often hard to resolve through customer service, citing issues with verification processes.

Linkedin have said they have issued me a refund but after a week I still do not have it! And the chat support is a bot and will not put me through an agent. Really bad service! Shrikant has said my refund will be in my account a week ago? Since I didnt use premium and I cancelled within 7 days of being charged

Linked has the worst customer service I…

Linked has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. My account got hacked due their own poor security. Was able to get it back, but then immediately my account got restricted again.

And then you find out it just impossible to get support from a real human with a permission to think. Support forms sent you into Catch 22 situations or are simply not working. Once you finally get through, support staff keep sending you in endless loops through verification systems that don't work, and then in the end outright lying to your face just to close the ticket. No intention to help at all. Just a complete mess of incompetence, laziness and unethical business practices. A 20 year old account with thousands of contacts. Just gone.

After some searching I found out this is happening to many, many users. They just don't care at all.

Cannot add an Industry to your Linkedin profile

Cannot update/add Industry type on profile for Linkedin.com.
You cannot make this up, it is so beyond unbelievable. I will just share what I emailed Linkedin.com on its public page for a billion users to see.
emailed linkedin.com 08222026-
{Good Morning, I am trying to add to my industry but it is not listed??? Fine Arts? Museums, Libraries. I am a fine arts artist and there is nothing for me. Please, update the metric for the Industry to allow additions when the industry is not listed. It is not right to tell a person they need to fit into a industry that has nothing to do with her Career path. This is crucial, your AI told me to do that. And that is inappropriate to say to career and/or job seekers.}
This is the email response that I received back not even a minute later. FAKE Intelligence told me
08222026
{In response to your query as I can understand you are facing challenges with adding your industry type on profile. Please note that you can edit your LinkedIn profile or Page to add an industry from our industry options. To add an industry to your Profile, click the Edit icon in the Introduction section of your profile and select an industry. To add an industry to your LinkedIn Page, from your super admin-view, click Edit Page, and then click Details to specify an industry.}

So as you can read, Linkedin did not acknowledge that they do not have an Industry of Fine Arts, museums and the like. I would have wholeheartedly accepted that and moved on. But, in their AI microwave solution they emailed me and then close the call as resolved!!!!
I do not believe that this issue will ever be resolved. So, they get 1, for its product of a Job Help Search

The rest of this review is for a Linkedin.com Professional Engineer
I am exhausted with your incompetence Linkedin. com but let me muster the strength because perhaps a savvy Linkedin.com engineer that actually knows how to sync the codes with irs industry codes will read this.
Linkedin.com please update the industry metric on the profile of your users to add/update and allow the Linkedin.com technologist profile to update to a Master file of Linkedin.com then take the Masterfile and match it with irs codes or whatever industry codes your using if at all lol. If it doesn't match that is fine! Allow the linkedin technologists to keep her profile industry listed on her profile or company profile page.

When you put this update in send out an email and let your other linkedin technologists know that they can now enter their industry and keep on her profile. Essentially you have put in a modification so that we can add our industry that was not available in the past etc.

Then
LInkedin.com Downtime/maintenance
Do sorts of all the different Industries that your linkedin technologists have inputted throughout day. (do not do this in realtime, industry codes should be reviewed and the like before adding to the master list permanently) Match with the billions of other profiles on your platform. Then and only then if you come back with Lt. Helen you are the only Fine Arts Artist on the planet in that industry. We cannot add this industry at this time, it will only show on your profile.
Or
We have found about 25 million others that are in the Fine Arts Industry, thank you Lt. Helen for that recommendation we will add it to our Master List.

Here is a cheat NAC code for Artist falls under 71100

At some point maybe I should bill Linkedin.com???
In Christ Holy Service, Lt. Helen

UPDATE 08242026, Intelligent life found on Linkedin.com I think. Here is the response to my 4th email to Linkedin.com. I am not sure if this is real, I may be dreaming lol.
{Hi Lt Helen,

Thanks for your feedback.

I've sent your suggestion to our product team for consideration. Taking member feedback into account, we're always looking for ways to improve the LinkedIn experience. When many of our members ask for the same improvement, we try our best to get it done. Though immediate action may not be possible, your feedback will be incorporated into our ongoing discussions about the direction of our design and development.}

Terrible AI loop experience

My account is 20 years was hacked and my email address was changed. After about a month of trying, I got access for a few minutes, then it was restricted. For the last few months it says I need to verify my identity but when I try it says I already did. I'm in an endless AI loop with no ability to talk to or contact a person. WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE after decades of enjoin the platform.

Con to view (& store) all your private ID

I would give zero stars. Joined Linkedin and done nothing wrong but within a few days account has been restricted for no reason. Only way to unlock restriction imposed by their AI system is to upload my personal ID documents for a lengthy verification process. God knows who will see my private ID if they get hacked! It speaks volumes that they don't bother to respond to any Trustpilot reviews.

I got a malicous ban from LinkedIn

I got a malicous ban from LinkedIn. 3 days ago i switched account on linkedin and immediately got a ban. I was extremely confused because I've never done anything against their terms and conditions. Then I contacted the customer support. The staff was very reluctant in helping me solve the problem. He tried to push responsibility to other staff and was very rude to me.

1 hour later, they closed my ticket without any solution. When I tried to contact them by live chat again, I found I was blocked from the chat. They intentionally targeted at me and used such a nasty way to prevent me from sending complaints.

LinkedIn is the most shameless company I have ever seen in my whole life.

Treating me like a monkey

Again… making me dance around and perform for their security checks.
Done nothing wrong.
Used for years.
Cannot even speak to anyone for help.
Will find another way to promote my business…..
I hope big tech fails very soon. They are too powerful. And don’t care because they have so many customers

Total waste of time

If you want anyone to see your posts you have to cough up $800+ a year in premium membership.

If not, don't bother, nobody will see them, check the post analytics '0% out of network' impressions.

Only your connections will see them.

Doesn't matter how, why or when you post, unless you hand over a sack full of cash nobody will see your content.

I had a free trial for 1 month & it made practically no difference.

Really no help

Really no help, LinkedIn is trying to force people in paying Subscribtion and get the money out of their pockets which they dont have for nothing.

LinkedIn’s verification process was awfull

LinkedIn’s verification process was awful. The camera feature for capturing my driver’s license simply didn’t work, wasting a ridiculous amount of my time. For a company this large, such a basic verification feature being this poorly implemented is unacceptable.
