False delivery estimates and shipping updates

Honestly I wouldn't even give this site one star. My future daughter in law did her registry through The Knot. I ordered her gift on a Sunday. I was given a delivery date for Wednesday of that week, even received an email the next day stating that my order shipped. Wednesday, no order was delivered. Received an updated delivery date for the next day. Thursday, no order delivered, no update in my email, not even a tracking number. After many email exchanges I was given tracking information that told me the order hadn't even shipped yet and a bunch of condescending AI generated apologies that didn't change the fact that I am going to my daughter in laws shower empty handed.

Bride Not Notified of Funds

I purchased an Amazon gift card for my niece through The Knot. I never received notification from The Knot and neither did she. 7 weeks later I mentioned my gift to her. She knew nothing about it or other Amazon gift cards. She contacted The Knot to have the funds transferred to her. How many young couples is this happening to?

Hello, We’re sorry that neither you nor your niece received the email notification of the gift. Gift notifications should be clear and timely, and we understand why discovering this seven weeks later would raise concerns. We’d like to review what happened with this transaction and ensure it has been fully resolved. Please contact us at help@theknot.com with the order details so our Registry team can investigate.

Drumore Estate is not the venue for a…

Drumore Estate is not the venue for a formal luxury wedding.

It’s National Charcuterie Board Day, which feels like the perfect time to share our Drumore Estate experience.

We paid approximately $6,400 for charcuterie for 120 guests.

My husband could have put it together.

Think cubed Wegmans-style cheese and a basic presentation. At least Wegmans would have given us gas points.

That board became a good metaphor for our experience: luxury pricing did not consistently produce a luxury experience.

Drumore is beautiful, but nearly everything that made our wedding upscale had to be imported: tables, chairs, plates, stemware, flatware, décor, and 40 professional servers for synchronized service. A 20% service fee was then added to staffing and meal costs tied to services arranged for the event.

The food continued the theme. If you wanted something beyond frozen appetizers thawed and heated the day of the wedding, “fresh” became an upgrade. Watermelon with balsamic and feta? Cheese-stuffed potatoes?

Apparently fresh worked like an in-app purchase.

Dinner was approximately $300 per person and included an overcooked 4-ounce filet with green beans, carrots, and fingerling potatoes.

At $300 a plate, I expected the filet to have LinkedIn Premium and TSA PreCheck.

But our biggest disappointment was teamwork.

When it rained, the tent sides came down. Reasonable. When the rain stopped, we asked that they be raised so the grounds—the reason we chose Drumore—could be seen and photographed again.

The owners refused.

Our planner ended up on a ladder in heels trying to raise the tent sides herself while the owners stood by.

Nothing says luxury wedding like an emergency tent technician in formalwear.

Unfortunately, that part isn’t funny. The closed tent sides blocked the setting we chose Drumore for, and photographs we envisioned were never taken.

We paid for nature and got vinyl.

Transparency was another major issue. We did not receive our final bill until June 29 for a July 11 wedding, leaving 12 days to review charges we believed differed from those presented during planning.

Nothing says “enjoy your daughter’s wedding” like a surprise accounting exam 12 days beforehand.

Staffing promises changed too. Staff we understood would move furniture were pulled after we paid, forcing us to hire last-minute help. Staff we understood would be dedicated to the bridal and bachelor suites were instead touring prospective customers.

Apparently, “dedicated” was more of a concept than a schedule.

After everything, I received an apology offering dinner for “you and a guest.”

My husband of 43 years—the father of the bride, who paid for and hosted the wedding with me—had apparently been demoted to plus-one. I wasn’t sure whether to be offended or ask if he needed his own RSVP.

Our lesson was simple:

A beautiful property does not trump food quality, professional staffing, transparency, teamwork, or hospitality. A luxury property is not automatically a luxury experience.

We can question an invoice. We can laugh about $6,400 cubed cheese and joke about a $300 filet.

But we cannot redo our daughter’s wedding, retake photographs that were never captured, or recreate the family experience we invested so much in making special.

Get the good cheese and a professional chef. Read every line of the contract. Get every price in writing. And never confuse a beautiful venue with a beautiful experience.

PATHETIC company

PATHETIC company, nobody is bothered to help or contact when needed. My sister gifted me a kurta from well known brand and it wasn't even original and completely tore in a day. However, when I wanted to return nobody was willing to answer the call or even call back. It was a horrible experience and waste of my money. Zilo is so much better than this!

Lost all menu choice guest data right…

Lost all menu choice guest data right before the wedding for correcting a typo with no way to recover it. Customer service unhelpful and more interested in ensuring they don't take accountability than being helpful. I also cannot access the guest list from my phone and the mobile website is shocking. The app is not available to download for me in the UK. There is also a permanent ugly white strip at the top of our site that I cannot fix as it is a bug in their design. Overall I have significant regrets in using the site and would warn against it.

It has been just awful dealing with this company. The items took an extremely long time to arrive. It was way past the date given. I had to call about it, and it still took forever. You better pray you don’t need to return anything because it takes longer to receive return labels than the products. (If they are received at all…as I am still waiting on them.) I would NOT recommend them at all. I recommend you go elsewhere for wedding gifts.

The Knot and FRAUD!

My best friend’s daughter recently used the Knot for her wedding. They had an area on their site where you could donate money to the couple’s honeymoon fund. When she went to put the money into her bank account right after the wedding, all of the money had already been transferred to another, unknown, bank account! The Knot simply said, sorry, nothing they could do. FRAUD!! So they have no security to keep that money safe for the real couple. I would recommend using another organization or not to use anything they offer to collect money! Ridiculous! I wonder how often this happens?!? Maybe someone who works for the Knot is taking the money…I don’t know but I really wouldn’t trust this feature at ALL!

I know people who have had no issues…

I know people who have had no issues with the website. However, I’m not one of them. I started with hope and optimism, assisting my daughter with her wedding plans. We tried to hook up a bank account, for monetary gifts and what followed was enough to make a person reconsider eloping. One number was wrong and they couldn’t fix it. Customer service is a joke- a week of back and forth with one agent and then being referred to an “executive” person who also could do nothing. I finally gave up, had to send out 300 guests a new QR code and will now make sure no one I care about uses this site. There are so many better ways to do what they do without the headache. An entry mistake shouldn’t be this much trouble.

Definitely would not recommend

Definitely would not recommend. At all. Created my registry for my bridal shower via The Knot. The website has glitched every single day stating ALL of my items are out of stock when they are not. Customer service stated they were aware of the issue and 'has no timeline' of when the issue will be resolved. It's about a month later and I am still having the same problem, when my bridal shower is only a couple of weeks away. Guests are assuming that everything is out of stock and therefore are not buying items from the registry. Very disappointed will never be using The Knot again.

Fake company run by AI. No people

You took my order never got confirmation for 2 items being shipped. Took over 3 weeks to get one item and another week to get another. No human service all AI. The 2 nd item box was damaged and a hole in the front and the handle is broken. 3 days and still no response. You should be ashamed to work at a place like this. Let me guess under staffed and under paid. Aren’t we all. I have worked in customer service for 27 years. I have always followed thru! Crap company!

Great option less hassle

very easy to use.with the checkout process I unfortunately let auto fill in the shipping address and gift came to me instead of the address for the couple. not terrible but not able to be changed, and had to re ship. my mistake --but would be helpful to ask "ship to couple" on the order and auto fill from there.

DO NOT ORDER INVITES FROM HERE

If I give this vendor 0 stars for invitations I would. My fiancée and I worked on these invites for over an hour, carefully checking for errors and even took pictures of our proofs. Then when we got our invites they were wrong - not even close to what we submitted. While they offered to re-print at no cost, I still have no invites. They are now going to arrive late to my guests all because this vendor couldn't do what we needed. Then when I worked with customer service, they were very nice but never apologized. It also took me over an hour on the chat to get a human.

Go with Zola!

Had the absolute worst experience with this website because of the registry tab - the website recommends a certain amount of items depending on guest count but then does not have the bandwidth to have that many items on the page - leading to slow loading times and crashing. Would go with Zola if I was getting married again!
