Tried calling them today while broken down on the A19, and like other reviews, I couldn't get through. In the end I rang the RAC who signed me up for an annual membership and charged me a surcharge to come out and help me by the roadside. Well worth it. CoverMY are clearly scammers and I've reported them to Action Fraud. Don't bother replying "Natalie" or "Kym" lol

Car Breakdown is the emergency service you want in a hurry.... Yes?
While waiting for a response (high call rates just now!!) Covermy's dedicated Emergency Assist Ltd invited me to send an email.
No queuing system, no idea how long it will be before registering your urgent need.
Under resourced certainly.
Tried to get a response from Covermy own number or to log in to their SEE DOCUMENTS page.
My email address and password reset not recognised or just not functioning?
I don't know but AVOID this cover it's cheap for a reason.

I bought the cover, after reading review on its webpage.
Cover my, has a very poor customer care services.
The emergency asist line when you call,
keeps you on hold for 20-25 min then drops.you're back to square one.
On chat box when you request to speak with someone, you can only request a call back. In an emergency situation, ASAP, they never called. I had two tickets filled in a span of a week without someone calling back.
Once u get connected customer service are not helpful at all. There are particular area where they can listen, otherwise they charge money for everything.
Thirdly once recovery is arrange it can take even hours, and there's no accurate communication.
Think we'll before buying this.

Appalling service. I broke down on the M20 and called the call out number. I was on hold for 20 minutes then when I did get through, inspite of telling them where I was, the operator couldn't find my location. She sent a text with a link which I clicked and it came up found you but apparently it hadn't because she called back and had me Google what3words to find my location. Twice I had to do that and instead of waiting 50 minutes I was there almost 4 hours. I was also charged a £30 call out fee even though their website clearly states no call out charges. I'm nearly 70, suffer from arthritis so couldn't get over the barrier so I had to wait for a lull in the traffic, get out and sit in the passenger seat. With the AA, they prioritise women on their own. Not this company. I felt sorry for the recovery driver. He was great but they sent him 35 miles away from where I was. I'll never use or recommend them again.

Terrible service, long wait times!
I waited on hold for 30 minutes before my call was answered (Would have been very stressed if I was stuck on the motorway!) to then be told the earliest they could come get me was in 2 hours time (not the 50-90mins the promised repeatedly on the hold message). Luckily we broke down close enough to home that I could wait at home.
However, was threatened with a £98 fine if I wasn't at the car when they arrived, so sat waiting in my car for 30 mins, the specified appointment time went past and I was called by the company saying it would be another 30 minutes. Then I was called to say actually another 45 minutes after that.
I had to go to work so they then rescheduled for the next day "between 9 and 11". Uncertain whether they will actually turn up.
Having called at 9am I would have expected them to arrive before 1pm! It is only a 5min drive to the garage who were expecting me this morning.
Very frustrating, poor service and had I been on a busier road this would have been very stressful. I have lost all faith in them and will not be renewing my policy.

Worst service ever. Covermy breakdown are thieves, fraudsters and con artists. Their phone service ensures that you are on hold for 2hours each time you call. My car broke down on my drive, and they asked me to pay excess for towing to the garage. They were meant to arrive by 11:00am but turned up at 20:20pm and said it was too dark to tow, they will call back in the morning. I call them at 09:00am and they claim that they now needed specialised equipment to tow my car from the drive so I need to pay an extra £350, secondly this will be considered a second call out so I pay a further £120. Total rip off for having done nothing. Eventually I got another company online that charged me £40 to tow the car and were shocked when I mentioned specialised equipment as they just rolled the car onto the ramp. Covermy breakdown should be shut down, it's not even regulated and they offer no services, they just steal people's money.

First time I've even written a review on trust pilot. Its hard to even put into words how useless this company is. With something as important as breakdown cover where people can be stranded and in dangerous situations I am suprised they are even still allowed to operate and haven't been investigated by the FCA for not even providing a service as this is a regulated industry under insurances.
I'll be brief with my experience....
Broke down on the m65. No answer for hours, left stranded. Forced to walk along the motorway on the hard shoulder until I could get to safety. Phone eventually died after spending hours trying to call. Once phone was dead was left stranded 100miles from home. Ended up walking to the nearest town next to the m65 at junction 10. Went door to door to 3 different garages asking for help as at this stage I also had no working phone. One eventually helped, had to pay costs out of pocket obviously. Still tried to email and call and send an online form after the fact and still have not received a response. Just looking at the other reviews on here tells you everything you need to know. Honestly shocking and dangerous.

Terrible so called service. They wriggle out of their professed "cover," use any loophole to avoid helping and to add insult to injury, their phone recorded message (which I had to keep listening to whilst on hold for over two hours!) says "We're here to help" and then cuts you off.
This typify's the service industry's contempt for people, insurance is similar, that they will attempt to wriggle out of any obligation if they can (Same happened with Bravofly Travel) , it brings any company into disrepute. And people wonder why the public mistrust and anger at companies is growing, undermining faith in commerce/capital generally. So angry, don't use this company.

Terrible experience today. First time I've had to use the breakdown phone number. Was on hold for just short of an hour. On my way to pick up my mother from hospital following major surgery. Didn't have enough charge in my phone to wait any longer. Lone female traveller.
When you have an emergency, you expect them to pick up the phone. Shocking. Appalling. Dangerous.
Following posting this this review, I have emailed the responder with the relevant details regarding the policy. Awaiting a reply.

Honestly not worth getting them.
Driver will be stranded on the road.
Company will find some loop hole .
Stay away

The biggest mistake I ever made. This is the second time I've needed assistance, and the experience has been awful both times. First: be prepared for a minimum 20 minute wait before youyr call is connected. (Both times). Second: be prepared for a long wait before anyone arrives. (I'm waiting now on the second call). Third: basics like carrying a spare battery in case your battery is flat are not available. They would drive it to a nearby garage of your choice, but you have to opt for that in advance ( under the heading "if we cannot solve your problem"), else it will be charged as a separate call.
I am getting another breakdown service like RAC or Green Flag now, even before my policy with Covermy breakdown expires.

After being on hold for over an hour and not even speaking to someone... This is atrocious!. I am broken down with a baby and have no way of getting help. Avoid at all costs!

After spending an hour and a quarter on hold with tearable music to customer service when I did speak to someone I was told that the policy did not exist after checking my bank account the money had been debited from my account so I've taken out another cover with a more reputable company I will be taking this further

Don't get their cover; they are atrocious. Their waiting times on the phone [Remember, it's a breakdown cover and you may need emergency support in most of these situations] was ~ 30 mins. And when I complained, the feedback was "We respond as quickly as we can". Now, make your own mind......They should be shut down

AVOID AVOID AVOID Broke down, rang them. No answer after 20 minutes, just a recorded voice saying how good they are and I'd be answered soon. After another 20 minutes, still no answer, this continued as I tried 2 other numbers for them. 1 and a half hours later, still no answer, by this time I was in tears. I was also emailing at the same time to the address given by the voice recording, I also emailed admin. Never got a response from either and the phone wasn't answered. I had to pay for someone else to come out. Thank god I wasn't a vulnerable person broken down on the Moors. This needs closing down, I will be reporting when I find who to get in touch with. I want my money back, utterly disgraceful, I absolutely cannot believe that this can be allowed to happen. They could be responsible for all sorts of horrible things that could happen to someone stranded and alone. Utterly utterly despicable.

Awful! Broke down at 9am, was on hold to the company for 30 minutes before anybody even answered. Then waited for 7 hours and still nobody arrived even though I was stuck in a city centre in a bus lane! Ended up having to cancel the assistance as I was beyond freezing and it was getting dark. When calling to cancel, they proceeded to tell me there was no guarantee that the breakdown assistance would arrive by the end of the day and that nobody was even on the way to me!! Every time they called to update me on the whereabouts of the truck, they would always say “it’ll be with you in 65 minutes”, “it will be with you in 90 minutes” - complete nonsense. A waste of a working day, had to get a friend to tow me in the end.

Called them this morning for a home start call out. Was on hold for 1.5 hours, which is ridiculous. Spoke to the supervisor James. Asked them to come out in the evening as I am working now. They said they can't pre-book jobs. So I asked for a call back in the evening and again they said no meaning I would have to call back and potentially wait another 1.5 hours or longer. James was not willing to offer any help or sympathy for the 1.5 wait, no apology, just a "we are very busy today". Disgusting service, will never use them again! Hate to think about all those poor souls stuck on the side of a road somewhere on hold for 1.5 hours. So much for "emeregency" assist

I shouldn’t give this company even 1 star.
One of the worst breakdown services I ever had experience.
I called for help, they said 60 to 90min I will get someone.
I called again after an hour, they said job has been cancelled by service provider without informing me. The company representative said, it will take another 40/50 mins.
Again after an hour I called for update they said same thing. Right now I am waiting over 4hours to get their assistance in London with my family in this cold weather.
This is worst company for help.
