Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 735 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently struggled with customer support, describing automated phone systems that failed to resolve problems and endless wait times when trying to reach a real person. Reviewers also faced deeply frustrating account lockouts, complex verification puzzles, and unexpected difficulties when attempting to manage active subscriptions or secure rightful refunds. Some reviewers were happy with specific offerings, noting that certain productivity programs and operating systems are solid, versatile, and enjoyable to use daily. A few consumers expressed appreciation for these core tools even while dealing with broader service issues across the platform.

Why dont Microsoft Outlook scrap their useless Advanced Search feasture

Microsoft Outlook Advanced Search is the most useless tool i have ever encountered.
Today i put into the header my subject.Immediately Advanced Search appeared and a
permitted 3 emails to appear going back to the 17th August. However, there were 4 emails on the subject, the first one dated the 7th August, which Advanced Search decided to exclude. WHY!

The worst part of my day.

Microsoft is the bane of my professional life. There is no such thing as a minor issue. Anything could completely derail a mornings work, as I am forced through a half dozen ineffective channels to try and resolve something so simple as changing my billing address country.

I hope for a future where this business has failed completely, replaced by a competitive market of lean, responsive competitors.

NEVER BUY MICROSOFT PRODUCT AGIAN!

Dont get me started !
I had a mac for 14 years, had zero issues with it! As it was outdated I needed an upgrade, decided to try the microsoft surface pro. NEVER AGAIN! I had it for not even 3 months before the screen began glitching and the touchscreen stopped working. Sent it in for "free repair" Got it back they said nothing was wrong. Microsoft customer service was horrendous and said nothing they could do. Let me know it was still within the one year warranty so I could send it in for repair again, but refused to replace or refund my over $1300 I spent on this piece of trash. They guy on the other line through tech support hung up on me after over 30 minutes of waiting to talk to him. As I politely expressed my frustrations over the computer not working. WARNING NEVER BUY MICROSOFT PRODUCT AGIAN!

Hyper-Capped Company Raises Prices, Cuts Services (Return Publisher!)

I love Office, I dislike the random price hikes. You want to get paid? Fine. But when you hike prices and cut bedrock services like Publisher, you are ripping us off. Don't like it? Microsoft tells me, you can always cancel your subscription. That attitude is unacceptable for this hyper-capped company. Return a publishing program in the 365. Now!

My rewards account was banned for no…

My rewards account was banned for no valid reason. I have been a loyal user following all the terms of service, but my account got suspended out of nowhere and customer support is completely useless. If there was an option for 0 stars, I would give 0 stars because they don't even deserve 1 star. They are true scammers. Waste of time and effort!

No Support

I had an important meeting today using Microsoft Teams. There was no issue with my Internet as I managed to log on to the meeting okay, but when I switched the camera on, it was just spinning round as if it was loading up and the other people could not see me. I had to log on to a separate Teams on my mobile phone to enable them to see me. This disrupted the meeting. After I finished, I tried to contact Microsoft as I had paid for Premium and was told I got support but it was all AI and there was no way to speak to anyone.

Lack of customer service

I have had multiple experiences getting hacked, or accidentally getting logged out of my account, and Microsoft simply doesn't have customer service. As far as accounts go it is simply just the worst software company.

I would give zero stars if I could!

I would give zero stars if I could. I had an old college based account and was still being charged post graduation even though the account was no longer accessible. I tried contacting microsoft directly but was unable to as I could not log into the actual account. I only recieved answers from their AI help numbers and they eventually hung up on me after providing bad website information. Terrible company, I have removed all my accounts and will no longer be using them for anything.

This company genuinely needs a no start…

This company genuinely needs a no start rating.

they have been taking 2 payments out of my partners bank account for 2 accounts that 1 he can no longer even get into, despit us logging complaint after complaint with this scam company and putting in 5 reports of fraud to his bank Natwest. At this point they are so scamming because they say we have to have access to the account to cancel it even though the xbox itself is completely dead.

So far microsoft will owe £611 and increasing because we are going to be coming after them for the money. It should NOT be this impossible to cancel your subscription. It is not a bill, it is a luxury that should be able to be cancelled when you no longer require it.

Zero support for personal customers who…

Zero support for personal customers who are victims of identity fraud. When this happens to you, the criminal hacks into your email and changes both your password AND then changes your recovery email to their own. The only way for a personal customer to report this crime is to complete an online form WHICH REQUIRES THE RECOVERY EMAIL DETAIL. THERE IS NO OTHER ROUTE BECAUSE THERE IS NO TELEPHONE CONTACT FOR PERSONAL CUSTOMERS. Thus, it is impossible to even report the crime to Microsoft let alone get support. Not only have I lost my email account of 22 years and all contact with many, many friends abroad. But I lost every single online account of every business I had ever dealt with online because ALL OF THEM send an email as security to check identity before they will interact with you. But I lost access to my email so that was that. I lost every proof of purchase I've had for 22 years. 9 months on, I am still spending endless hours on the phone with companies, few of whom have any facility set up to support victims of identity fraud who've lost email access. My mental health has suffered greatly throughout this nightmare. Companies like Microsoft shouldn't exist in the UK where we have strong consumer rights. I hope the lawsuit in the US results in them being asset stripped and taken over by a company that values it's customers. Even Amazon respects us and works hard to keep us happy. Microsoft are a disgrace.

Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling. Wouldn't be surprised if I will have lost £1800 without ever seeing my product since it's been cancelled twice and then sent in the mail presumably by catapulting it into the sea where it has been "lost in transit" with the box "disposed of". I didn't even think to trustpilot it cause it's microsoft, like I own a onedrive, use word docs, have excel, had a surface pro, I cannot for the life of me understand why one of the most global tech companies would be so unbelievably incompetent? Sickeningly bad and a good example of why late stage capitalism is a scourge on our existence.
