I have had YUKO done many times before but decided to try Fiz as it was more local to me and cheaper. I am Asian and have wavy hair which is quite thick but not course. As I have had YUKO done before, I was expecting my hair to turn out the same which was STRAIGHT (at least) soft and shiny. Unfortunately, I got none of that. After not washing my hair for 48 hours (as directed) once the YUKO was done, my hair was practically the same and all underneath was wavy! It didn’t look good at all! However, Fiz did offer to re do the wavy bits so I went back a few days later. I left my hair for slightly longer this time (3 days) and washed it the day I flew out on holiday. To my shock and upset, my hair was still exactly the same. I got my hair done specifically as I was going on holiday for 3 weeks! I didn’t have the time to get it sorted out and to be honest, I couldn’t be bothered to go back again as if she can’t get it right the first time, or the second, she never will. Just goes to show that cheaper is not always better. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money but you live and learn. Definitely won’t be recommending Fiz.

I’ve been getting YUKO done twice a year for the last 3 years. My usual stylist was unavailable so I decided to try [name removed] as she was more local to me a considerably cheaper than most salons. As a regular to the YUKO process, I was expecting the same result. My hair is long, curly but not coarse and usually when the YUKO process is finished, my hair is in better condition that it was before, and my hair is left straight, especially at the roots. Unfortunately, this was not the result I had when I visited [name removed]. I waited almost three days before washing (as instructed) but my hair wasn’t straight, it was wavey.

I was absolutely devastated. As I said before, I’ve had YUKO done many times and the result has always been the same – perfectly straight hair! But not this time...I told [name removed] and she offered to sort out the problem free of charge (if I took another day off work). She informed me that she usually charges to sort out anything the client is unhappy with his is ridiculous. Anyway, off I went back to Fiz thinking she would finally get it right. She even saw and acknowledged that there were still waves in my hair. After another 2hours, she had finished but the results were still the same.

The first time we went to see [name removed], she was polite but the second time, I was made to feel as if I was an inconvenience to her. You cannot simply look at the YUKO pictures on her website and think that your hair will look exactly like that. Anyone’s hair that has had every small sectioned straightened with just hair straighteners will look like that. The real results are after you’ve washed your hair at home.

[name removed] couldn’t deliver but I guess you get what you pay for.

It's the first time I have the Yuko treatment at fizmakeup, even though I've had it done several times in many different saloon.I can definitely say fiz is a real expert, she talked me through the different stages of the treatment, explaining what she was doing in a very professional way. The result has been absolutely fantastic; I walked out with silky, shiny and beautiful hair. I will certainly recommend it , and I will most definitely be back!!!
