Mantis - We Make Gardening Easier. The first - and still America's favorite 20-lb garden tiller
I purchased a tiller from them in 2022. 3 years latter and the plastic trigger has broken making the tiller unusable. I contacted their customer support and they tell me only the tines are replaceable. If I had wanted an unfixable piece of garbage I would have purchased one from a big box store for half the price. Very frustrating.
shocking company to buy from, bought via a credit card for a delivery on Monday, stayed in from 12.00 till gone the time due only to find they had put the incorrect delivery address on the paperwork,, contacted both mantis and the delivery company , was told I would get a phone call back but never got one so had to chase mantis only to be told it was up to me to chase the delivery company who said they could not send the driver back. I had to change the address on the website. called mantis back and asked to cancel the order. was told yes ok and that they would process the refund via a bank transfer as they did not hold records of credit card details for more than 2 days. very strange why they could not take the card details over the phone like they did for the order. then was told it could take up to 48 hours to get to my bank account. having checked my account surprisingly no refund , emailed them to be told that they will only start refund process when they get the package back to them. I am currently in hospital recovering from stomach surgery. the company is a joke , avoid at all costs, the product might well be good but customer service sucks
Mantis's main product is thier garden tiller.
They offer excellent pre and post sales advice and were able to advise on how to get the best of the tiller.
Although I have not used the warranty, this seems to be a no quibble 12 month "return if if you don't like" deal which you cannot ask for better. Sure enough the paperwork does not give any caveats to this offer so it seems genuine,
The product is versitile and allows us to manage a 1 acre plot. Its not as easy to use as thier promo material suggests, you will need some strength to use it, but the results are excellent finely tilled ground.
The product will cope with virgin ground and we have used it to turn solid clay-based lawn into deep cultivated beds.
