Movieease 

Was charged less than a month ago through another media site. OK -- I'll take the blame. Thought it was a 30 day free trial, but it was a FIVE day free trial. Used site ONE time, and paid $40 (half was returned if I didn't dispute it). Now I'm being charged (EXACT SAME INFORMATION) by another on-line media company (Movieease). Called Movieease to straighten out, and was not provided any information, but told because I can verify the information, I was responsible. Niiiiice!

Scam!! I want my money back!!

the movies you want to see are not there when you sign up they show popular movies but once a member you get movies you never heard of do not use this site i am cancelling and filing a complaint

This site is a scam they have been talking money out of my account evan after i canceled

Avoid, there are hardly any good movies on there anyway.

I was looking for a movie I have to watch for school "Catch Me If You Can" and they came up in the search. I signed up and entered my CC information against my best judgement and they didn't even have the movie. I immediately cancelled my account but I didn't realize it but my credit card information is still listed in their system :-(

Just don't even go there....

this site sucks. got two emails stating no charge and then i get charges. talked to "NO" service customer service and got nothing. don't go here at all not worth a website at all. this site isn't worth cussing.

DONT FALL FOR THIS. THEY SOMEHOW FAKED AN ACCOUNT IN MY NAME (LUCKY FOR ME, I REALISED AS THEY SPELT MY NAME WRONG!!!!) AND THEY BILLED ME FOR SOMETHING IVE NEVER APPLIED FOR!! THEY SCAMMED MY BANK DETAILS AND WHEN CALLING TO COMPLAIN AND GET REFUND, THEY LAUGHED AND HUNG UP 3 TIMES!!!!

They take your money.never contact you. dont make it easy to find contact number to stop payments. total rip off.

Yes, Movieease is a scam, and here's how it works. Movieease, Movielush or whatever posts links on reputable video sites, links claiming to have high-quality, fast-loading copies of whatever you're trying to view. You can't download or view the files, though, without registering for a 5-day "free" account, at which time, they ask you for a credit card number. They say they won't charge the number, but they do (US$1.00 in my case), just to see if they can. When you register, they send a "receipt" e-mail saying, way down at the bottom after a lot of boring trivia, that, after the 5 days are up, your "free" account converts to a premium account, at which time you are billed a whopping $39.99 MONTHLY until you cancel.

What do you get for that whopping sum (more than 2x the average Netflix charge)? A few old movies that you've never heard of. But this crappy archive is a deliberate part of the scam, because, after you register for "free" and see that Movieease has nothing you want to watch, you go away and forget all about them--that is, until they take the first big chunk out of your bank account. You certainly don't read the "receipt" e-mail.

So, if you've registered with them, cancel right away, before they get any more of your money. And pass the word among your friends; these guys are suddenly everywhere in the on-line video world and obviously plan to defraud a lot of people. On one site, for example, they have managed to insert a link--a sponsored link--into each and every movie or TV episode, retroactive to the oldest files on the site.

As for me, I joined because "Movielush" didn't raise any red flags. It was only when my account was billed that I saw the name "Movieease" and found all of these warnings. I canceled within hours of being billed $39.95 and received an e-mail saying I'd get my money back, but I'm not holding my breath. If they do refund the charge, I'll say so here, just to be fair.

p.s. I was forced by this site to give Movieease a star; otherwise, I wouldn't have.

I also have been getting my account debited by this so called service that I did not authorize. They're frauds and are stealing money from people. Be wary of this in your account, report it immediately to your bank

Reviewing my bank account statement I found a charge for 7.95 as well as a foreign transaction fee to movieease, a site I had never visited. I do not currently watch movies and have even cancelled my netflix subscription because I do not have time. I am not looking for other ways to watch movies.
The interesting thing, is the odd amount of the transaction. It is not the $34.95 amount that others have encountered when the "free" trial automatically upgrades to a "premium membership". As nearly as I can figure, it is not an amount that corresponds to anything in their published pricing.
Repeated attempts to even verify the existence of an account have gone unresponded.
