My Big Fat Brighton Weekend 

Booked an apartment in Brighton for 10 friends to go on holiday. They've cancelled last minute.

We arranged for a hen weekend months ago for this coming weekend at £250 each for 12 of us including house stay and activities for the weekend are last communication was a few days ago when we had to pay more for parking arrangements however, Yesterday an was recieved stating that they have cancelled the weekend and we would have to find alternative arrangments. Followed by you will have to cliam any back via your bank account. Today we are in full panic the website is still running but is not answering or returning calls, or answering emails we have well and truly been robbed. An email has been sent further to state they have gone in to admninistration so only guess we will never see our money again along with a devastated bride to be and an angry mob of 11 hens.

I advise stay away from this company if you have already given your money be aware this has happened we are now trying to savage a weekend that has well and truly been runied at an expensie that we know cant afford

We were booked to go here on a hen weekend this coming weekend, and recieved an email 3 days before we were due to go to advise that they are no longer trading and we would no longer be able to stay here and no information on returning of deposits or anything. This has caused immense pressure and stress on the organiser of the hen, and the hen herself who has had to fork out and arrange alternative accomadtion for a large group at such short notice. No communication at all from the company since other than automatic reponse emails and no sense of regret or apologies at all. It is a disgrace that you should treat people such way after taking our money then to let us down such short notice. How are we supposed to rearrange the acitivies etc planned in 3 days? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Just returned from a hen weekend in Brighton at a town house in Lansdowne place. The house itself could be lovely but when we stayed it was looking very tired and run down. It was obvious it hasn’t been cleaned before our stay. We found balloons under the sofa. Carpets had dirty marks all over them and no furniture to put clothes in bedroom.
The beds had been made and we had one small towel each, the size of a hand towel! Although using them wasn’t much of a problem because the temperature of the showers was either burning hot or freezing, so not a lot of showering going on.
The organiser of the group had also paid for decorations to be put up at the house and there was no sign of these and nobody was answering the phone when she tried calling numerous times.
The kitchen looked very tired and only one two slice toaster and a cheap plastic kettle for 15 of us!
We enjoyed the activities we did but were probably ripped off. We paid £50 for an escape room and cocktail making. But we only got to make one cocktail between 2!!
Only good thing was the location of the house.

i have just returned from a Hen weekend in Brighton we stayed in 2C Lansdowne Place, our party organiser spent £60 on decorations and outfits for the bride to be, which were delivered to their head office they charged her another £20 to go and decorate the house for our arrival. upon our arrival we were totally disappointed to discover that nothing had been done. we attempted to call the head office and the emergency number numerous times but got no reply. The house was filthy and and we were unable to shower all weekend as the water was scalding hot or freezing cold one again no one answered the emergency contact number, we spoke to the girls in the house next door who also had the same problem and they said they had been to the head office to complain and there was a removal van there, we would not use this company again.

Just come back from hen weekend we stayed at 2 D Lansdowne place the house was minging we had no hot water the pull out beds in the sitting room were broken and couldn’t be used !! And a blocked sink in one of the bedrooms the house was filthy, we called the emergency no and the office and sent emails no reply!!! Two us went to their office at 72b st George street and was met by 2 guys who was moving everything out of office one of them was quite clearly the owner but denied it he got very aggressive and started swearing at us and we had as asked to leave !!! We had no hot water all weekend !! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!’

I've just come back from a hen weekend - 24-26th May. We stayed at Captains Lodge. Whilst I have no complaints about the size or location of the property, and I am not the "chief booker", I feel I have to let other people know about that minging house and that our booked cocktail man never showed up. The house is advertised as sleeping 18. There were 16 in our party and the living room area effectively becomes another bedroom, so you have no relaxing living room at all. The house is filthy. I mean minging filthy. The little shower/toilet room on the landing hasn't seen a Hoover for months. All the floors - carpet, tiles or floorboards are gross. The shower in the downstairs bathroom hadn't been cleaned, the glass screen was disgusting. Unfortunately for this company there were several professional cleaners in our hen group and we are not impressed. I myself manage an airbnb whilst the owners are travelling and I would be MORTIFIED and probably sacked if my new guests found it looking the state we found Captains Lodge. I would be embarrassed to admit to cleaning it! Apart from the grossness and overall lack of any levels of cleanliness, the dishwasher drawer is on the wonk/broken and the oven has no fan and will burn your food if you forget to keep turning it round. Also, 1 frying pan and limited utensils in the kitchen made cooking a fry up for 16 not impossible, but could have been easier.
There was no dust pan or little brush. No Hoover. No mop. No bucket. You are not supposed to use the front door. You enter via the tradesmans lane at the back, looks like you are in a foreign land, and a security keycode to access the steep steps and teenyweeny courtyard/smoking area, the sun in one corner at certain times of the day. Our chief Booker contacted the company on arrival on Friday. She said they said they were going to send someone out, No one appeared. At all. All weekend. We were supposed to have someone come to the house to do cocktails. Guess what? No one turned up. We paid for that. I have no idea what the outcome will be....refund? How much? At this point in time I'm resigned to no resolution, but needed to vent my opinion about that filthy accommodation and warn anyone else. Good luck.

Absolutely brilliant... efficient, reliable and went the extra mile for me when issues hit with our original booked house. As in all businesss things happen but it’s what these guys did for us made me think Wow!!! I will definitely be recommending to friends and family, these houses have perfect location and we’re great for a hen do! Highly recommend the seafront house and Garbo for location and modern feel. Donatello’s meal was lovely the service was great, only 5 mins walk from the house! Thank you girls it was brill!!!

I organised my own stag do because my mates are nobs. I've never organized anything since my previous wedding, so I was very lucky to speak to Josepheen. She was delightful from start to finish. It's a pain to deal with 20 blokes and get money from them but she was great and the house we stayed in was amazing. Happy Woman's Day to all the chicks at My Big Fat Brighton Weekend! I will definitely be using this service before all my future weddings.

Just back from a fantastic hen weekend booked through My Big Fat Brighton Weekend, the bride absolutely loved it, everything went to plan and the information provided by these guys was amazing.
We stayed in a hotel rather than one of their houses which worked better for us as a group and was very cost effective.

The guys at the cocktail making were fab at The Copper Rooms and the cocktails were so scrummy!

The show at Proud was so entertaining, we had the fabulous Dolly Rocket comparing.
The only niggle we had was that on the info provided, we were told no hen attire (sashes, L plates etc) however on arrival there were a number of other groups there who were dressed up. This did upset our bride a little but we got our negotiating heads on and managed to talk the manager into a free cocktail for her and the manager was even kind enough to provide a 20s headpiece for her to keep. The manager did say that they had changed their dress code rules and would contact you to update your information.

Overall a fab weekend was had by all of our group.

As with a few other reviews I had issues with the city point accommodation and again received the same stock response that they didn't feel that my complaints of wallpaper hanging off, not being given keys to lock balcony doors, excessive heat with no air on, marks on walls and the top floor not being as described was founded as they visited the property and felt it was in a good state if wallpaper ripped of walls is a good state then that I feel sums up your company. I don't expect with property rented out to large groups the decor to be incredible however if you tell me when booking that it's recently refurbished and boast about the decor in the website that's what you should provide.

Was a very spacious, comfy and clean environment to enjoy a great weekend.

It was my sisters hen party which I organised as Maid of Honor on 17th - 19th November. Mybigfatbrightonweekend made the whole process so easy. I was worried about planning a hen do for 13 people however, this company made everything so easy. My questions (and there was a lot) was always answered straight away. A very professional company.

We rented Vegas 1 which was in the most perfect location. Walking distance to everything and a great club on the doorstep. The bedrooms were all decorated nicely and all the girls who attended had an amazing time. The main reason I picked the property was due to the long table in the kitchen where we could all sit for drinking games. We booked to see the comedy show on Saturday night with a meal which made things very easy and it was a great show.

A great weekend with no complaints. I am planning another hen party next year and may use your company again! Thank you so much for making this much less stressful than I orginially thought.

Just got back from a hen do that i organised through this company. They were great! They were so helpful, I lost count of the number of emails and phone calls that we exchanged, i asked so many questions and even had to change plans for various reasons - nothing was too much trouble, even down to people changing plans at the last minute. Everything worked out and the property was great. The activities exceeded expectations too. I would definitely use My Big Fat Brighton Weekend again. Thank you to all of your helpful staff members!

We have just spent the weekend in Brighton all arranged by My Big Fat Brighton Weekend... what can I say .. it was brilliant. From start to finish the communication has been great , we had a lot of questions before booking to ensure all needs were covered especially as we were booking for 17 hens! Nothing was too much trouble and all questions answered. Informative emails before arrival and detailed itinerary on arrival, all activities organised were brilliant! Copper rooms for cocktail making , staff lovely and very entertainingl. We even had the place to ourselves which was great! All in all we had a fab time and would highly recommend My Big Fat Brighton Weekend!

Booked my hen weekend through the 'My Big Fat' company, had it last weekend and it was fab! The whole booking process really simple and efficient, I had a number of plan changes and questions that were quickly accommodated and answered either over the phone or via email. Once it was all paid for, we basically didn't give it another thought until it was time to go! There were 8 of us and we stayed in the Captain Smith's property which was brilliant and perfect for our requirements. We had dinner at Donatello's on the Friday night which was delicious and great value for money. Then we did the male nude life drawing class which was excellent! Our model was called Floris and he was basically born to do this job! He came to the house and was absolutely brilliant and totally hilarious! He has a whole plan prepared (not just the drawing) and is so entertaining - we laughed and laughed and the whole group thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we had bar vouchers and entry into the Copper Rooms. The vouchers made our spending on drinks a lot more reasonable and then we did go to the club but decided it wasn't really our scene so went up the road to Maggie Mae's and danced the night away!
All in all, the weekend was amazing and my hens put in so much effort with other things to make it perfect and so memorable.
Would 100% recommend booking with this company, they're great and the weekend was fantastic!!

We booked a house for my sisters hen doo during "PRIDE" weekend. There was 25 of us and the house was perfect! , we have the most amazing time during our stay ! , we loved it so much that within 12 hours of coming home we booked it again for next year . The staff where so friendly and nice. And every email back and forth was answered quickly and promptly. The atmosphere was amazing and the whole vibe of the weekend stayed on a high. The houses can range from 8-30 people so any occasion is perfect. Ill defiantly be using them again. Such a fab weekend! Thank you so so much to everyone 

I could not rate The Big Fat Family high enough for the outstanding service and wonderful memories of my sister's hen weekend in Brighton which will last a life time! We did a 1940's Taste of Vintage makeover and it was every bit as traditional and glamorous as the time itself. We felt as if we had stepped back in time and the photo shoot on the beach really finished it off. The hair and makeup was absolutely outstanding and the ladies who made us over really added to the excitement and sparkle of the night. They were with us for well over 3 hours making sure each any everyone one of us looked the part. There were 14 of us so they were very patient :)
Hen weekend's are a once in a life time event or, hopefully should be :), and this truly was such an amazing activity to do. The girls in the office were so helpful all along the way and nothing was ever too much trouble.

I will truly never forget this weekend as long as I live and the girls and I are already thinking of planning a reunion next year!
