Competitive price with good service
My initial contact with Armorica was in relation to shipping costs. They responded very quickly with details - always a good thing.
Having checked a number of websites, I found that Armorica were better value than most for the Tojiro Senkou knife I was looking for, so it's no surprise that I ordered from them.
I also bought 2 other knives in the same order, so everything was shipped by DHL. It wasn't next day service, but that would only have increased the price and I was happy to wait a few days.
Next time I have to buy something for the kitchen, I'll definitely be checking whether Armorica have it.

Good Problem Resolution
I've bought a number of Kai Shun and Kai Shun Pro knives from Armorica and have been very pleased with them. Excellent knives at a good price and delivered quickly to me out in Spain.
My most recent order also contained an I.O.Shen Oriental Slicer, which unfortunately had been VERY badly sharpened at some stage. Rather than post back to the UK, I suggested a discount to cover the poor quality on this knife. We reached a good solution.
Having sharpened the I.O.Shen properly and at the correct angle (with 'Edge Pro' Rod Guided Waterstone gear) it is now a joy to use. It is the thinnest knife I own and feels more 'nimble' than the Kai Shun Chinese Knife I also own. It is now equally sharp as my other Japanese knives.

Frustrating
I would have put a lower mark but I don't want to dramatically skew their rating based on my one bad experience when other people seem happy with the service.
I only ordered from Armorica because their website showed that they had the cleaver in stock, they were a little more expensive than other places I'd seen but I'd left it very late to order a present, so I accepted that.
I placed my order on Sunday night and got a polite email on the following Thursday to say the cleaver was out of stock with their supplier and they wouldn't be getting anymore.
My issue is that the stock status on their website is misleading because they clearly didn't have the item in stock when I ordered. Perhaps it's not realistic for a small business to stay competitive by holding large stocks but I still found the overall experience frustrating.

We ordered a product from Armorica not long before Christmas. We very quickly received an email back saying that they were sorry, but Amorica was out of stock and offered an alternative. Amorica gave an estimated date by which our order would be delivered if we stuck with our original order. We did stick with it, we received an additional email updating us on the order, and then received our original request a week ahead of schedule. We were very pleased with the way we were kept informed and with the service given. Thank you very much.

Armorica are honest , helpful and friendly.
I cancelled my order - but only because Armorica could not supply the item. Although it came up as in stock online, the item (pasta rollers KitchenAid) was not going to be available for some time. I liaised with Penny(?) who was extremely polite, very apologetic and completely upfront with me.
I appreciated their honesty and the way they handled my order and subsequent emails.

I have several Mauviel pans and saucepans and use no others. They are wonderful!!!
I bought my first Mauviel pan about 7 years ago from a retailer in Bury St Edmunds and now have 10!!!! Since moving from the area I now obtain the Copperbrill from the Amorica website. It is easy to follow and very tempting as regards purchasing other pans/saucepans.
Still expensive and it would be nice to have an offer every now and again.

A top seller. Very efficient service and careful packing and delivery of a very heavy, fragile item. It (a large Magimix food processor) arrived in perfect condition the day after I ordered. Postage was included in the order and it was still cheaper than everywhere else.

Item was delayed but good CS
I ordered 3 items all of which were meant to be in stock. Unfortunately, 2 of the items turned out to be out of stock. It took several weeks for these items to arrive in the UK, but Armorica's customer service was excellent - they sent me the in stock item for free and the other items came by next day courier when they were back in stock. I would shop with them again.

Helpful and professional.
When I broke the lid on a rather expensive pan I struggled to find a replacement. I found Amorica who are sellers of the pan and lid and contacted them to see if I could get a replacement lid from them. They sourced the lid as a special order for me, kept me up to date on progress via email and even held on to it for a few days so that I could arrange delivery at a time that suited me. They couldn't have been more helpful and I am very happy to recommend them.
