I cancelled a flight through them…
I cancelled a flight through them because they wouldn't give me confirmation number right away. Then a week later my card had a fraudulent charged from a different airline. Avoid at all cost
I don’t even wanna give this a one…
I don’t even wanna give this a one star, but I have to give them at least that, this was the biggest nightmare wanted to go to Hawaii with my wife and grandkids, we were quoted a great price, they said that 10 days before the flight that’s when they would issue our tickets and that’s when they would take the money out of my account, that was not the case, the same day they took out$1800 and when I called them to tell them, you took the money out!
yet I don’t have any tickets you said that that was common practice, even though it said right on the contract that you would not take the money out till tickets were issued.
long story short we were two weeks out and I checked to see what the flights look like going to Hawaii and it showed there’s only six seats available which meant there was no way that we’re gonna be able to sit our family together. I called him up and they said you don’t have to worry things will work out, I canceled and was going to get a refund from my bank. They called me back and said no we’ll make this right so I stopped that refund being issued back to me less than 10 days before our flight. I get a note that says that all the flights are filled and it would cost $2800 to go to Hawaii so I told him I would rather have a refund and I’ll find another way. I get an email that says that I would have a refund in 10 days three months later I still have not had that refund i did go to Hawaii thanks to Capital One and had a great time. This is not an honorable company. You’re lucky if you can talk to somebody that doesn’t sound like they just got off the boat from India. They even tried to pull a scam on me where they said they’d put the money back in my account, but I needed to give them $25 to link the bank and refund. I did do that as stupid as it sounds and they took $900 out of my account but thankfully Bank of America stop the transaction. Bank of America has refunded my full amount of money back into my account. This has been a nightmare people do not use this company they are beyond a fraud and you can’t touch them because they’re out of the country.
Liars and swindlers
They are scammers and thieves; they take your money under the guise of processing a transaction, keep you waiting, and then cancel it without refunding your money. They are utter frauds—please stay away!!!!
Misrepresentation and deception at every turn
I had called Untied Airlines to change a flight, and was unknowingly and deceptively transferred to Cheap Flights. I only found out over a month later when disputing charges, and had to ask four times who I was speaking to before I was told it was Cheap Flights. They used intimidation, misrepresentation and threats to attempt to bully me into retraction my dispute of the charges that were never refunded. I was told I would receive a refund in 16 days, then later that it would take 1-2 billing cycles, and then was told the refund was cancelled because I had contacted my bank. This entire process feels like a scam, there is no transparency and deception at every stage of the process. Avoid this company at all costs. .
I would give 0 stars if possible
I would give 0 stars if possible. I booked a flight from what was listed, paid for the flights, then got an email saying the return flight was not available unless I paid an additional $397! I could change the return date and it would only be an additional $197, but I could not cancel the reservation. This and I still had to pay for baggage. I will never use one of these sites again.
Very disappointing experience - Fraud
Very disappointing experience — buyer beware
I had a very negative experience with Cheapflights.com and would not recommend purchasing anything through them.
In my experience, the service I received did not match what I believed was being advertised. I was told that what was being offered was a “standby ticket,” rather than a regular confirmed airline ticket. This was not what I expected when making the purchase.
Because I was concerned, I contacted American Airlines directly. The representative I spoke with warned me about the situation and advised me not to rely on the booking as a normal confirmed American Airlines ticket.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing through Cheapflights.com verify the reservation directly with the airline before paying. Make sure you clearly understand whether you are receiving a confirmed ticket, a standby arrangement, or something else.
I personally would not use this service again.
Literally the worst people ever they…
Literally the worst people ever they never call you back never email you back and when you get a hold of them they can't tell you anything they told me last minute that my flight was canceled that they were refunding my money they still haven't and was stuck for 2 weeks they keep saying the refunded me but they did not blaming my bank now im having to dispute it!
The worst company I’ve dealt with
The worst company I’ve dealt with. They charge me 3 times for the same flight, then they ask me to send documentation for verification saying my credit card is not from the US (?) even if it was issued by capital one and I am in the US. After 4 calls with different people and one chat, they tell me that the airline is not issuing the tickets so I’m not able to fly in that flight and they don’t offer any solution. This company is completely useless. Disgusting how they don’t know how to do absolutely nothing. I am now waiting to get my money back because they’re not able to put me in another flight those same dates with the same price. Never use this shit company for your shake
Cheap flight service is totally a scam…
Cheap flight service is totally a scam just like all other reviews said the same thing.I had exactly the same experience, no need to repeat again, totally a disaster, lost $1500 CDN. What a joke, try to get my money back, for 6 months numerous times, no such luck. Bunch of crooks.
When we called and booked a flight to…
When we called and booked a flight to Mexico they gave us the flight information when we were leaving and when we were coming back. We paid 2k for the flight that they told us. They never said that the Cheapflights are basically standby seats so you might or might not get on a flight. Our flight was "canceled" on the way to Mexico once and reschedule. When we called the fist representative told us it was canceled but the we called again and another rep said it wasn't cancelled the flight just got filled up and they weren't able to purchase the tickets. On the way back our flight was changed 3 times and we weren't guaranteed that we were even going to be able to get a flight period. We ended up leaving a day later. My husband and I lost a day of work, paid a extra day on a hotel and paid for shuttle service since we had to stay an extra day. I would not recommend Cheapflights to anybody. I would just pay the extra $200 and go through the airline directly at least there you know that what you book is what you pay for. Very deceiving, not upfront information, its really a scam since when you book they give you "fake" flight information them making you believe that the flight they are telling you is the flight that you are paying when in reality your basically flight on stand by. Not honest!!
It is hard to believe that a company…
It is hard to believe that a company operating in India can so easily scam US citizens. Never use it again.
Loss $524 never got refund
If zero stars were an option....
If zero stars were an option..... Horrible experience. 3rd party vendors are a scam. Bought airline tickets and never received them. When contacting 3rd party, was routed to what sounded like an overseas call center twice then just stopped answering calls. Filed police report for fraud.
Be Aware When Book Tickets Through cheapflights.com
Firt time i booked plane tickets through this Cheapflights.com because it was cheap. When the time to travel they let me know the flight had been canceled. I have demanded the refund over 2 months, still no results. Talked to them several time, they transferred my call to someone else or just hung up the call. Sometime i was able to talk to someone willing to resolve my refund issue. they said the refund will be in my credit card in 3 - 5 days, now it's over 2 weeks i still have not received the refund. continuously called them, no answer. people say "too good to be true" or "you get what you pay for", it's all true. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WEBSITE FOR GETTING PLANE TICKETS cheapflights.com
SCAM
Unfortunately I thought this was a website my sister had used but it was just a similar name. I learned the hard way to check reviews and do better research before booking. First of all the original flight I was trying to book was unavailable but you don’t know this until the travel desk contacts you. Then they want to upcharge you or book you out of a different city or into a different city. The entire booking process with Ms. Mason was frustrating. I even just asked if since we hadn’t booked I could just not book, but Kathy informed me I was already at a point I would lose money. She had already booked the original departure but since there weren’t enough seats on the return we had to book somewhere else. We ended up having to book out of a different city and with a different airline. This meant that part of my ticket cost came from the travel company instead of directly from me (this is important to note). The flight was in March and we live in the south, but unfortunately we had a freak winter storm. The flight was completely cancelled. The airline said since it was due to the winter storm I would receive a full refund but remember only a portion of my fees came directly from me to them. Due to this reason I had to email Kathy to request a refund for the remaining portion which was just under half the total amount. I sent Kathy all the correspondence from my app from the airline. She informed me they would have to verify and that it could take a couple of months to complete. About once a month I sent an email inquiring and even had to update my credit card that had since expired. She led me to believe a refund was headed my way. I emailed again and this time had to be a bit more aggressive in the email so she forwarded it to Mr. Barnes. Jamel let me know that since the cancellation was an unforeseen circumstance due to winter storm Iona that I would not be refunded for my taxes and fees. I am certain that the amount I requested covered more than just the taxes and fees since it was the original amount used to secure the first flight I attempted to book. The company is terrible at communication and traps you in all the small print you don’t see and has the worst customer service. DO NOT USE THEM!!! I was trying to save money and ended up costing myself money. Again lesson learned. I should have known better. I never write reviews even poor ones. I understand things happen but this is beyond unacceptable. Thanks for nothing Kathy and Jamel.
Warning to Potential Customers
Please be cautious before using this website. My personal experience was very disappointing, and I believe other customers should carefully research the company before making any purchases.
I experienced issues with their service and customer support that left me feeling misled and frustrated. Based on my experience, I recommend reading recent customer reviews, understanding all terms and conditions, and using a payment method that offers buyer protection.
Do your own research before spending your money. I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision.
Illegal and dishonest.
Oh my! They worked me really hard to get my international booking! I was close to booking with them then decided to hold off. I called an airline direct and got great pricing and did the booking. cheapflight guy CALLS ME and asks if he can still do the booking for me and I told him it was done. HE USED MY DOB and Flight info to find my paid for booking on the airlines website and canceled my booking! Then called me to tell me he was able to get me a better price! I had to start all over with the airline and they were not able to match the price I had already paid for!!! This actually truly happened. The airline gave me the fake email he used and explained he had the necessary information from the booking I'd almost made with him to go on and cancel my paid for reservation! Cheapflights is an awful and unscrupulous horrible deal. STAY AWAY FROM CHEAPFLIGHTS. They are dishonest and doing illegal actions.
Got round-trip airline tickets at one…
Got round-trip airline tickets at one price, but then they called and wanted almost $300 more. When you tell them you want to cancel because that is not what you paid for, they tell you there is no cancellation and that you will lose your money if you do. Thankfully, I didn't use my bank account, but this is ridiculous. They shouldn't be allowed to change the price if you have already paid. They should be shut down. DO NOT USE THEM! It's a SCAM!
Avoid at all costs
I booked flights in January and, one week before I'm leaving in June, they claim the flights are all full. Rip off. Not legitimate. No matter how many times you phone them, they transfer you to another line which is typically a voice mailbox. Very frustrating and expensive experience. My advice to others is to only book with known aggregators or, better yet, airlines' websites themselves.
Don’t book through them . They are scammers!
I booked on two separate recommended sites from cheap flights.com ,(top flightfares and FlyODeals ) and they both turned out to be scams.
Worst worst!!
Worst worst!!
They lure you to buy discounted price and then shows no seat available after funds get deducted and will not refund funds and will ask to add more funds to get different seat.
Avoid this website.
