Helpful, convenient app

Shows your store's sale items, helping you make an affordable meal plan/grocery list right on your phone. Recipe collection to search from as well. Very handy to have your list with you at all times - and have the option of husband adding to it from his phone as well. Would like to see an actual calendar option in order to give it five stars.

AMAZING APP!

I have found this app so useful I'm makinging all of my friends sign up for it. However...I only give it 4 stars as we are unale to use the local store link for sales in Canada :( I'm sure it will happen in no time at all! Well worth the cost!

GREAT APP

I love this app. I use it all the time. I've even been able to use it last minute while at the grocery store to plan a meal. Just pull it up, select a recipe and go to the shopping cart to get the right ingrediants. I love a ton of flavor in my food so I always end up adding several items to any recipe but its a great starter if you're drawing a blank.

Like the function, could use a better app

I commonly use the Android app when I go shopping once or twice a week. It's great for picking out sale items and finding recipies to use them in quickly (I've even done this during the 5 minutes it takes my wife to drive us to the store.) It's quick. It also crashes a lot. A bit more stability would be greatly appreciated. In spite of this, I remain a frequent and satisfied user and recommend that you check out the app to see if it suits your needs too.

Meal Planning Made Easy

Overall, this is a very good app. It truly helps organize meal planning and shopping. I can't say it's great because of the small gripes I have. For example, you can't easily change the number or amount you need of an item on your grocery list. You can't have multiple store lists going at the same time (like if you buy your meat and produce at one store and staples at another). And, you can't easily move recipes over from another site. But, overall, it's convenient and easy to use and I recommend it to all my friends.

Life Changing!

My New Year's resolution for the past five years has been to cook more at home. Before this year, it was always an epic fail. Thanks to Food on the Table, I've finally been successful. It's easy to use, and drastically reduces the amount of time I spend planning meals and shopping for ingredients. My husband and I use the same account, so we always have a grocery list ready to go on our iPhones!

Great program

Good recipes, time saver and has a mobile version...but, that's not all..It also gives you a grocery list and tells you what is on sale.

Fantastic for a Mobile Lifestyle

Food on the Table has been wonderful for me and my family. It fits easily and efficiently into my meal-planning process. It simplifies the creation of my shopping list and weekly menus through utilization of a great mobile app. A huge feature of course is the local grocery store connection - showing me what's on sale at my chosen store and offering recipes to complement the items! I also love having the option to choose to see recipes that fit into certain categories (kid friendly, vegetarian, etc.) - I only see options that fit my lifestyle. Big kudos to Food on the Table - I recommend to all my friends looking for an easy, mobile way to plan their grocery shopping and weekly meal planning.

What a TIME SAVER!

Food on the table has been such a time saver in my home. I have tried many new recipes and foods, and best of all, they were all on sale in my local store. Having all of that information at the tip of my fingertips is such a time saver in my hectic life. I love this product and will continue to use it!

Great shopping list

I love using the Food on the Table ap as my shopping list. I can check and see what is on sale at Kroger, and make my list from that. I can type in or even speak items onto the list, and check off the items as I buy them. I would love if it would give a quick estimate of what my bill will be. I haven't used the recipe section yet, though I've browsed it. Overall I really like this ap.

Convenient to use time-saver!

This is a great website for anyone who wants to save time planning dinners and putting together a grocery list. The stored recipes are really great, and you can upload your own recipes to add even more variety. The grocery list function is in my hand every time I go to the store. I couldn't be happier about making this purchase, and I would and do recommend it to friends.

pretty good app, could be better

My husband discovered Food on the Table through an email he received, and told me to check it out. So I did and was like hey that's cool. So we purchased a one year membership an downloaded the app into our phones and his iPad. What I have found is you have to really check your grocery list to make sure everything made it onto it. More than once I will go I make something from my plan only to discover I don't have all of the ingredients that are needed. My other gripe about this app is like I said we purchased a year membership and during the last upgrade to the app they started putting ads into the recipes. And ok fine they need to make money because some people only have the free app, but when you pay $70 for a year of service I don't expect to have ads. I have contacted FOTT and while they did extend my membership a month, I still have ads. I'm not sure I will renew at this point.

Local sale info is useful.

I like the grocery list feature the best. I organized the sections so that they match my local grocery. It reminds me of all the sale items I need for the recipes I chose. I have my own recipes for most things but I tried a couple of their recipes. They were easy and fast and tasted good. I don't always shop every week. The sale items change but not the list unless I start over, in which case, I lose my whole list. Oh dear.

It's okay, could be better

While the app is good, there are a few things I would change to make my personal experience better. I should be able to add recipes to meal plans much easier. At the moment once the recipe carousels are reached the user then has to navigate through 3 or 4 more screens to reach their own recipe box. My recipes should be available with all of your recommendations. I also should be able to rate my recipes. I may have just added one I wanted to try, but can't give it star review to tell how often it will go into my normal rotation. The system that recognizes ingredients in the shopping list needs some fine tuning as well. At least 1/3 of the ingredients in the recipes I add are imported to the shopping list incorrectly. Cloves of garlic will only be listed as cloves in spices, teriyaki stir fry sauce only added as stir fry sauce. There are also quite a few common ingredients it doesn't understand either. I had to change the descriptions of red pepper flakes and ground red pepper at least twice to finally get the system to recognize it. Pepperplate was just released, and at this moment the only thing it doesn't have is their own recipe database of recommendations. However at this time that isn't all that important, as it has proven to be a far superior app in the limited use I have had with it.
