Something so good ended up so bad.

Something so good ended up so bad.

I bought a fridge/freezer from them for a great price, it was delivered very quickly and very professionally, I can't tell you how happy i was with the delivery.

I made the mistake of accidentally breaking a plastic drawer/bin and called to get and pay for a replacement, this is where it all went downhill.

I got transferred around and around until I finally gave up 1 1/2 hours later.

I just don't have that kind of time to spend, not worth it.

Such a Shameful Saga

Re: Best Buy Canada Order #863556111
This is now entering the formal complaint stage of my relationship with Best Buy Canada.
On November 16, I had an email exchange with ‘Cathy’ who promised me a price match for a Kodak Scanza listed by Amazon at $C214, including shipping. The Best Buy advertized privee was $C239. She also agreed in writing to credit a $C100 gift certificate and agreed that the final price for the device would be C$114. She encouraged me to purchase the devise on the Best Buy Canada website and I would be reimbursed the difference. I did that for a total cost of $C267.67 assured that my total reimbursement would be $C157.67.
Having heard nothing, I called the Best Buy Canada phone number on November 24th and left a request for return call because of the long wait time. I received a return call from Omo in Toronto who listened carefully and explained that, because it was a Best Buy ‘market vendor’ who had sold the device, Cathy was wrong to have agreed to the low price match and that Best Buy Canada was honour-bound to provide the refund. She said I would receive a follow-up call from her supervisor that same day. It never happened.
Two days later, November 26th, I left another callback request and was contacted by Yasser Hamid in Moncton, working from home with his two children playing in the background. He informed me that, not only was Cathy derelict in promising me a low price match, because it was a ‘market vendor’ sale, my Best Buy Canada $C100 gift card was also ineligible for use against the cost of the device. He told me he would need to formulate an official case number. It took over an hour on the phone for him to make sure he had all the information correct. He issued me with Case #06761066 and told me that the ‘market place’ vendor would be presented with the invitation to refund me the low price difference and that a response would normally occur within four (4) business days. He assured me that, if this vendor refused to refund the difference (now only $C57.67 with the gift card), then Best Buy Canada would have to provide the refund.
Today, November 27, 2020, I received a response from the “market place’ vendor Patrice at Simple Boutique in Quebec, who refused to low price match but wondered if a ‘partial refund of $ 24.96 plus tax right for you?’
At this point I called the Best Buy Canada Customer Service number again and left a message for them to call me back. Two hours later I received a call from Fahim, somewhere in Ontario, who, after putting mee on hold for fifteen minutes without telling me he was going to do that, told me he didn’t have permission to access the case number, couldn’t locate the order number, and that his supervisor was named Rachel. I asked him to get Rachel to call me. He said he would do that but an hour later, Fahim called back and said I would havee to wait the four (4) business days for the ‘market vendor’ to respond to Yasser’s request to price match. I told Fahim that I had received the ‘market vendor’ response that morning and that was the reason I was calling and where was Rachel?
Fahim told me that he would get Rachel to call me. Ten minutes late I received the following email:
Case Number: 06788691
Hi LAWRENCE,
We've received your case and our team is reviewing the details. We'll get back to you within 7-10 business days on the next steps. If you have any more information for us, please reply to this email.
Thanks for your patience,
The Best Buy Team
It appears that Rachel didn’t even have the common decency to call me.
I will not give up. I will have my price match guarantee and take this matter as a formal complaint into the highest echelons of Best Buy Canada, who appear to hide their ineptitude and customer disservice behind a bedraggled army of unskilled, underpaid but well-meaning workers. Such a shameful saga.

I bought a computer last November and…

I bought a computer last November and they offered insurance on the item and also said that if I could cancel the insurance anytime, after 7 mos, I called Geek Squad for the Cancellation of my insurance but said I have to pay the cancellation fee which is the same as the cost of the monthly insurance of my computer till November of 2019. This things wasn't part of any conversation I had with the best buy employee who I talk to regarding the insurance, they just told me that If I felt I don't need the insurance then I could cancel it anytime.

Worst shopping experience ever

errible service. Don't take ownership of selling faulty products. Wasted 20+ hours going back and forth with computer issues (Both computers I purchased did not function for more then a week) and best buy failed to take ownership of the problem. Poor customer service, not accountable for their mistakes, and made minimal effort to win me back as a customer. This company and this location did not respect my time and I did not feel valued as a customer.

I first purchased an ACER (ever time I open or close the screen it would have green lines and would have to restart it) that did not work, returned it and purchased an ASUS laptop that also did not function (software issues as well as issues with the track pad which periodically gets stuck down so every time I click it it right clicks). Attempted to return this to get a new product. Was first told that it was not best buys problem, it was the manufacturers problem. Was then told I would be compensated for my time and hassle.
I returned to the store (Winnipeg, Pembina highway) and was told that I could not get the product I wanted because they never had in stock (even though the other location did. I was promised to get a discounted price on the new device I wanted by the managers.
I was then told that the new product was on order and I would hear from them in 5 business days. No one contacted me, kept track of my information (even though I was promised they would have my information on file). I called back to the store (now going on two weeks) after about 4 days of not getting any answer and had to explain myself to every individual there repeatedly.
The manager then told me that he did not order my product (which I was told it was by the customer service manger and the manager). The manager proceeded to tell me he did not care for my business, and I should get a refund and take my business elsewhere.

Worst Experience I have ever had with a company in my life. Wasted my time and my money with no desire to resolve the issue. If Best Buy made money off of you they no longer care for you as a customer. Take your business elsewhere and avoid at all costs!

Thats it. Never again!

Thats it, never again will I deal with best buy. Placed online order paid extra for 3 day delivery, after 2 days still no tracking number. They wasted hours of my time jerking me around on phone, I finally got smart and cancelled order, bought a camera from the friendly staff at Henrys Camers Shop!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

If I could give zero stars I would like they don't even deserve one... I gave them a $1000 deposit to replace my broken phone, and when the time came to actually sent me the phone, they, without prior notice, send a piece of paper saying I will get a gift card instead. Keep in mind I didn't actually receive the e-gift card. So I went to my local best buy to sort this out and all they could tell me was that I had to wait for the gift card to be emailed to me, which could have taken days... so instead of replacing my cell phone like a normal company they made me PAY MORE for another phone to use until this gift card is supposedly emailed to me..
All in all as soon a I receive the iphone I played for I'm never dealing with best buy again..

Terrible - Never again

I purchased a TV through the Rbc reward program from Best Buy Canada. This has been the WORST EXPERIENCE of my life with delivery.
I was phoned on Thursday by an automated robot letting me know that Friday my tv would be delivered in between 9:30am and 12:30pm.
At 12:30, nothing. I phone Rbc to know what's going on, to which they direct me to Best Buy. I phone Best Buy and of course it's automated messages. I get to my order and now the time slot has changed. Another automated robot tells me my delivery is scheduled in between 10:30am to 1:20 pm. Again the time arrives and still no delivery. Be reminded I took off work to way for this. Again I call Best Buy and get the same automated message that my delivery will be done in between 10:30am and 1:20pm, but now it's already 2pm! At this point it's starting to get frustrating. I call Best Buy again and press on all the options and get a hold of a live person. This person verifies my order in their system and let's me know there's an issue with their automated system and my delivery is schedule for Saturday! I wasted a full day of work. And guess what today it's Saturday and I'm still waiting and the delivery is not done. I've called and complained numerous times and yet none of the employees at Best Buy costumer service are able to reach the delivery guys. I was assured my tv would be here today. It's 9:30 pm and nothing. I wasted another day. They don't have any idea what's going on. At this point I've wasted two days in total for waiting purposes. This company I will never use again. They are completely clues less! I will never recommend. EVER!!!

Poor customer service and the staffs …

Poor customer service and the staffs are not very knowledgeable. I don't have a problem with people who don't know, but if you don't know and you pretend to know and I have to waste a lot of time, I think the employees need training.

Best Buy return process for the extra …

Best Buy return process for the extra warrantee is terrible. I purchased a Garmin watch and the strap broke. i took it back to the store and was told i had to call a rep. the rep then sent me a ups label and i had to package the device and apply the ups label. i then had the choice to get ups to pickup or take it to UPS. after a few days i got a online giftcard in my email. When i tried to order a new watch the local store was under reno and had little stock and the online store didnt recognize my postal code and the help desk couldnt help. The survey which I selected not to do called anyway and the questions were about the staff and knowledge and nothing about the terrible experience with managements crappy process. A similar experience with Costco......l got the cash refund in the store right away...

Best Buy excellent store

Futureshop or Best Buy as known today.
I ordered the drone for my kids. The delivery was very fast.
The price a little bit high for that toy ( you can find for cheaper value in Walmart). However the difference is not critical, but support in Best Buy is better. They also have stock of what they are selling and ship it very fast.

They had a special online only for a TV which of course I got because I saved like 200$! and asked for delivery and I thought it would take a while and was worried that maybe the TV would get damaged but tried for the heck of it. I was shocked it did not take long and everything was perfect. Thumbs up!

Best for direct buying - terrible for service

Buying stuff that you know what you want and you have done your research.

Avoid getting advices - online reviews are better especially if you are investing on high end stuff.

To those who have failed items: don't forget they have a 10-14 return policy - if it fails on you - just return for a refund rather than dealing with their service.

Poor Service

I purchased a computer and there was a problem with it. A Brand new computer had for 2 days.

Took it back as it would shutdown on its own. Their service center had my computer for a week, and still had not fixed it. I had to wait 2 weeks for them to do a system recovery.

Very Poor Service!!!
