Looking at 83 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently shared deeply frustrating experiences dealing with unhelpful customer support teams, experiencing long and unreasonable delays in receiving their money back, and struggling through complicated return processes. Unacceptable Delivery Service and Unfair Shipping Fee Deduction!

I placed an order with Abercrombie & Fitch and paid extra for a specific evening delivery slot. However, PostNL never even attempted to deliver the package to my address. Despite having a smart doorbell showing no attempt was made, the carrier marked the package as "Incorrect Address" and immediately sent it back to the warehouse.
To make matters worse, after this completely failed delivery experience, Abercrombie deducted the original shipping fee from my refund!
I was unable to receive the items I ordered, wasted my time dealing with customer service, and on top of everything, I was charged for a delivery service that was never provided. This is completely unacceptable customer service. I demand a full refund for the shipping fee that was wrongly withheld.

My order was left unattended outside…

My order was left unattended outside without my permission and was gone before I could collect it. Abercrombie initially told me they could resend and replace the order, but after making me wait several days, they withdrew that offer because the parcel had supposedly been “delivered to the correct address.”

Leaving a parcel outside is not the same as delivering it into the customer’s possession. Their solution was to invite me to purchase the entire order again, while offering to honour the original prices and provide free delivery as though that were remotely acceptable.

Extremely disappointing customer service. I’m now having to dispute the payment through Klarna simply to recover money for goods I never received.

Very disappointing quality and customer service

I bought a pair of linen-blend trousers from Abercrombie & Fitch in store on 27 June. After only around 7 weeks of normal wear, I noticed on 14 August that the trousers had become completely worn out between the thighs and had developed several tiny holes. This is clearly not acceptable for a relatively new item of clothing.
I returned to the store where I purchased them on 15 August and explained the issue to a sales assistant. She asked her manager to speak to me. The manager inspected the trousers and agreed that the quality was not acceptable and confirmed that the item was faulty. She gave me a card with her name and the store number and told me to contact Abercrombie & Fitch customer service, specifically mentioning her name. She explained that because more than 30 days had passed, the store could not process the refund directly, but assured me that customer service would help and that I would receive a refund. She even said that they would not need the trousers to be sent back.
I therefore contacted customer service, expecting this to be resolved as I had been advised. Unfortunately, I was told that they could not help because the trousers were purchased in store and that I should go back to the store again. I was told that if Emily Last refused to help, I should speak to her manager.
This is extremely frustrating. I have already made the journey into central London once to deal with an item that has failed after just seven weeks, and I am now being asked to make the same journey again despite the store manager already acknowledging that the item is faulty.
Under UK consumer law, goods are expected to be of satisfactory quality and durable. I should not have to spend additional time and money travelling back and forth between the store and customer service to resolve a fault that Abercrombie & Fitch has already acknowledged.
The whole experience has been incredibly disappointing. The quality of the trousers is unacceptable, but what is even more disappointing is the lack of ownership and the contradictory information I have received from the store and customer service.
I expected much better from Abercrombie & Fitch. I hope the company reviews this situation and takes responsibility for resolving it without requiring me to make yet another unnecessary trip to London.

I want to give this review 0 stars but…

I want to give this review 0 stars but that clearly isn’t an option.
I have a record of the Abercrombie & Fitch ‘bot chat’ I was forced to have while trying to obtain a refund for goods never received! I have been told to wait another 1-2 business days for any further action. I have already waited 2 and half weeks!
I will not be buying from this retailer again!

Half a month later and still have not sent anything that I paid for.

Half a month later and I still do not have any of the clothes that I have ordered. They never mentioned that they did not actually have any of the clothes that I ordered and was charged for created. So it is a future IOU and a general Ponzi scheme apparently. They also are apparently planning on sending one small order in three separate shipments if they send it at all. Shocking and criminal approach to business.

REFUND RIP OFF

Cannot visit physical store as there is not one around me so happy to be able to order online - item arrived with no issues & cost $83.33. Pants were HUGE so had to return - processed request online & advised I would only be receiving a refund of $59.53 and items shows returned July 21st but have to wait another 10 business days to receive the actual refund. First and only purchase I will be making.

I'm really quite unhappy that I have paid £19.89 and refunded £10 for a top that really wasn't very good quality at all. This wasn't simply a case of I changed my mind but the item wasn't as expected...

Really disappointed with my experience…

Really disappointed with my experience with Abercrombie & Fitch’s customer service.

I ordered four pairs of jeans, kept one and returned the other three well within the returns window using their approved returns process. My return was then unexpectedly cancelled, and I had to contact customer services myself to find out why. I was told they had received different items in the parcel, which I completely dispute. I know I returned the correct jeans, and I have even contacted another retailer to rule out the possibility of mixing up returns. After weeks of chasing, I simply received an email saying they had “carefully analysed” the case and would not be issuing a refund.

No evidence was provided. No explanation of what they allegedly received. No photos. No proof. No meaningful investigation. Just a decision that leaves me over £100 out of pocket with neither my jeans nor my money.

A really disappointing experience from a brand I expected much better from.

Exceptional Customer Service and Quality

I online shop quite a but, but I have to admit Abercrombie gave me the absolute best customer service experience I've ever had. I realized I had duplicate items in my order hours after purchase. They not only removed the item, but also added the one I initially intended and cancelled my subsequent panic order. Service was quick and the clothing quality was phenomenal

Been waiting for over a month for my refund. Customer service said they were going to solve this but a month later still not done. Contacted cs again and now they still have the same story of there being an internal issue that is holding back my refund. If I have to believe them higher services internally are workkng on my case… yeah sure…. Now they are asking for my bank account data to manually make the refund happen… what shit service is this?? Is this a scam? Never would’ve thought I would have issues with such a big company getting my money back….

Exceptional customer service

Exceptional customer service. I recently bought a dress for my graduation, where the material pilled after only a few hours of wear. I used their online chat bot to inform them of this, and they issued me a refund and an apology immediately. Very happy with this experience!

I bought something online and they charged me £5 for delivery via Royal Mail, the item wasn’t right it was poor quality so when I returned it they charged me £4 for returning, that’s disgusting , both through Royal Mill and the quality was poor. I would avoid buying from Abercrombie and Finch Online

DO NOT BUY IF YOU THINK YOU CAN RETURN…

DO NOT BUY IF YOU THINK YOU CAN RETURN INTERNATIONALLY. If you are not from the US and are thinking of purchasing from abercrombie please dont. I made the mistake of buying a pair of overpriced jeans under the impression there was 30-day free international returns if they didnt fit. I put them in the wash and they grew 2 sizes larger and became unwearable. Tried to call them from Australia to ask them if I can return as I had washed and removed tags because they were my size before I washed them. No way to call or email them so I could only whatsapp chat them, they said no worries and to process the return online which i did, then i rung DHL to collect the package to return to America and they said they could not help me as Abercrombie does not provide a return label ?????? so useless this should be illegal and I would like a refund I have just wasted so much money and basically was scammed by poor quality jeans with a misleading returns policy and description.

This store isn’t where i will normally shop🤔. First time having to purchase a pair of jeans and when i arrived home noticed that the security tag was still attached to the jeans. It was quite an inconvenience having to travel all the way back downtown at the Eatons Centre in Toronto to have the tag removed. For a better experience the cashiers need not to be chatting up a storm about what they did in their personal lives whilst working and obviously not paying attention to their job!
