I wish I could give even half a star…

I wish I could give even half a star for their customer service and delivery . I ordered online and was supposed to get my delivery yesterday as it was my only day off. I paid and selected my delivery date as per my schedule. It was supposed to arrive yesterday and nothing was being communicated so I waited the whole day at the house. Couldn't even do other things that were pending. Absolutely bad service with delivery. Spent 2 hours calling the store call would be disconnected within 2 mins after picking up and that too after a 10-20 mins waiting time. Horrible customer service. The AI bot is useless and the human co workers not available to chat even when it is their working hours. I am being very polite but right now I am really frustrated. Absolutely disgraceful. If they cannot do the delivery on time at least they should not give the option to select a delivery date.

IKEA have become an absolute nightmare…

IKEA have become an absolute nightmare to deal with. In the last week I have spoken to 8 members of staff from different departments over telephone as well as 2 managers in store. The information I have been given has been contradictory to each other as well as their own website. I have also sent 3 emails to complaints, customer service and the Board of directors only one of which has even been acknowledged. Apparently there is such a backlog of complaints that it takes 5-7 days even to get acknowledgement let alone an actual response! So sad to find what used to be an excellent company become such a mess.

Paid for a certain delivery day. Was told it would be between 7am and 7pm. took the day off work. No delivery, it hadn't even been sent to the carrier for delivery yet. Also to track the order you have to sign up, this is a deterrent. Also to try and contact them the landline numbers Ai avatar is confusing. This delivery shambles is hurting the ikea brand. If I knew it was such a disaster I would haver ordered elsewhere. Maybe time to get a new delivery carrier or sort out your system. Disapointing.

I made an order

I made an order, they forced me to go to a pick up location 45 min away from my home, I wasted money in petrol, time, and I had to move work meeting around, just because now IKEA does’t want to deliver items to your home unless they are a big order.

It turns out, when I arrived to the collection point my order was not available. Contacting customer service is a pain. Absolutely frustrated. Probably my last time ordering from them. I will file a legal case against IKEA UK

Avoid like the plague

Ordered online - waited in for the delivery - never came - then tried to get hold of the company - which is purposefully difficult in the extreme. Don't shop there - these are not mellow laid back Swedes - they're pent-up bitter little Brits who should have paid attention more at University - especially David McCabe who presides over what can only be described as a Customer Service Car Crash

PILSPINNARE pillows - do not advise to buy

I have recently purchased PILSPINNARE pillows from IKEA. These pillows are made from natural duck feathers and down. Upon opening, the smell was unbearable. It smelled of rotten flesh. My eyes were tearing and I felt nauseous. I have left the pillows on the sun in the balcony for a week! The smell is not gone. I have washed the pillows and dried it in the dryer with dryer balls, but the smell is has not disappeared.
The feedback from IKEA customer service was that this smell is natural and expected. They advise to wash it and leave it to air. It has been 3 weeks, the smell is still there. It is impossible to use these pillows.
I would caution anyone from buying this product from IKEA.

I never imagined that IKEA would simply…

I never imagined that IKEA would simply ghost a loyal customer. We loved the brand so much that we even stayed at the IKEA Hotell in Älmhult, Sweden. Now, that trust is completely gone.
My JÄTTEBO sofa developed severe defects within less than a year of use. On August 8th, store staff instructed me to return the sofa without covers and issued a replacement. However, I explicitly requested my legal right to cancel the purchase contract and receive a refund, as a replacement does not resolve the underlying quality defects of this model.
Since then, I have been trapped in an absurd bureaucratic loop:
1. The warehouse told me they cannot process refunds and directed me to customer support.
2. Customer support then claimed they cannot overrule the warehouse because "there is no issue with the cover" — completely ignoring that their own store staff instructed me to remove the covers in the first place!
3. Now, I have been left without any reply or call for weeks, despite multiple escalation emails.
I am stuck living with massive unopened boxes taking up half of my room. A replacement I never asked for, an ignored claim, and zero accountability from IKEA Denmark.
Unless this case (12063123) is resolved immediately with a scheduled pickup of these unopened boxes and a full refund, my next step is a formal complaint to the European Consumer Centre (ECC Denmark) and Forbrugerklagenævnet.

Customer service is pretty abysmal. Incredibly long waits. But staff friendly and doing their best. Danny was really great. So mixed bag but mostly good experience.

If you can't pick it up yourself, buy somewhere else

If you're considering buying something here and you can't pick it up yourself, I honestly recommend looking somewhere else. I placed one order and IKEA scheduled — and failed — the delivery three separate times in a single week. Three days, three windows, and my order never once arrived. They couldn't even communicate with their own drivers. And customer service, as kind as the people were, simply can't do anything about it — it's beyond what they're able to fix. More than 9 calls and over 6 hours on the phone, rescheduling again and again — and every time, the delivery never showed. Still no refund for a delivery I paid for and never received. It's a real shame. So please — if you need it delivered, save yourself the headache and buy it somewhere else.

There was a slight delay in delivery

I ordered a chest of drawers and a couple of storage boxes from IKEA because it was becoming nearly impossible to keep my kids' room organized. The delivery time changed once, which was a bit disappointing, but Sofia from customer service helped me check the updated information. Everything arrived together, and the boxes were in good condition; fortunately, nothing was missing. Overall, everything went pretty smoothly, and the extra storage really helped.

Absolute trash furniture

Absolute trash furniture
it’s just pure junk it’s flimsy it’s so hollow the screws provided do not work because there’s sod all for them to go into. I’ve had to find work around hacks for everything costing me more money. Just don’t bother it’s pathetic! really infuriating waste of time and energy.

My tasked cancelled 4 hours before the scheduled time, but it was in the morning so I was unable to see it on time. I don't understand why Taskrabbit didn't assign me with a new tasked since they automatically assigned the first one (this was booking with IKEA). Since I saw it too late, taskrabbit cancelled my scheduled time and decided to not allow me to reschedule for today. I am extremely annoyed as I have no time this week and I don't want to make anyone work on Labor Day. Incredibly disappointed with this system and IKEA.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Went with my pregnant wife to be and spent a load of money only to be threatened by physical violence and threats from a trolley assistant. The management pulled the surveillance footage, saw the incident and admitted to the violent behaviour but did absolutely nothing about it. Disgusting management in IKEA Estonia and that had put me off of IKEA after being a customer all my life.

Negative 5 stars

I would have awarded -5 stars if I could have. Through no fault of mine (IKEA did not send the promised email), nor is their map location correct. I have a screen shot of the alleged design planning location in Galway which according to Apple is 6km out! I eventually got through to IKEA's Dublin number and they were no help, they only said they would pass on I was on my way. When I eventually found the store after the nightmare that is Galway traffic, no one at the store knew anything, and basically said the time slot was gone and tough luck! I did try IKEA's online planning tool, but its useless. The whole point of making an appointment. Great if you live locally but a 250km round trip wasted is not what I hoped to achieve today. I guess this is going to be a tilt at a windmill as I can see from the other reviews of IKEA they are inundated with complaints. They're making loads of dosh and they don't care.

IKEA WON'T REIMBURSE ME

I had to canceled a gift card (that was the only choice they offered me because couldn't fix the issue). Since then they told me
1) you will get a reimbursement in 24hs - never happened
2) after two weeks: on the chat they told me to contact the geschenkarte team via email - they never replied
3) after three emails they never replied I reached out again the chat. They told me they "escalated the issue to a specialized team and I'd get a reply in 24-48hs" - never happened
4) reached out again on the chat. They told me they will do my reimbursement in 5-7 days - It never happened
5) they told me to go to the nearest store to get it fixed

Had three replacements of draws delivered and yet again the draws are damaged. This is total rubbish. Aside from time consuming and having to keep rearranging the deliveries. I would recommend you NEVER get Ikea to deliver your goods . The couriers have no interest in the damage either.

The Norwich store is like a tip

The Norwich store is like a secondhand store/junk shop. In the area where the beds were displayed it looked as though people had been dossing down on them: duvets all akimbo, cushions/pillows on the floor etc.The rest of the store had stuff piled up all over the place. In the Checkout Area they only have supermarket style small self checkout tills - not much use for large items (we had a big rolled up rug). I've been shopping in Ikea for 30 years in Poland, Spain and the UK and never seen a store like this. Have they forgotten to employ a manager?

Customer service is a joke and products are shoddy

I don't know why I do it to myself. The customer service is horrific, and the quality of products is poor. It's fine for smaller things like cushion covers and glasses, but anything more substantial just seems to be awful quality. My IKEA sofa turned up with missing pieces and it took more than six months to resolve, by which time some elements had failed and they refused to replace. I also bought a parasol which has a tiny screw fail after three months of use, but they wouldn't give me a new screw, tell me the dimensions so I could buy a new one, or replace the item. Three months of use of something they call "durable" and designed for outside use is a joke. Customer service was very unhelpful on both counts and we ended up doing charge backs for both items. However the time and effort it required for simple things just wasn't worth it.

I'd actively discourage anyone from buying from them for large items.

I had the most fantastic experience…

I had the most fantastic experience shopping at IKEA of Tampa. The best part was when I was checking out. I had purchased numerous things (furniture), and the check out was difícil due to the amount of boxes and that they only have self-check-out. Emma went beyond the call of duty and helped me. She was exceptional helpful and kind!
