Family business that regard their family as the one that matters!
Many of their lines are shoddy, cheap far eastern made rubbish and their customer service is woeful, at director level. The sort of family business who regard their family as the only one that matters, stick rigidly to their 'returns policy' and decline to go a bit further for goodwill. In this case, the amount was seven pounds, for an item I'd found to be dangerously faulty the day i bought it but binned, as it would have cost me ten pounds in diesel to return and life is too short. However, once a pattern of other items failing or unsuitable despite assurances when buying, I decided the trip was worthwhile - they did refund all but the seven pounds, but declined to budge on this as I hadn't returned their rubbish. No question of goodwill on that, though if the item cost them a quid they've been had as badly as I feel I was. Beware - they're just after your cash, not your trust. The sort of place you'd be glad to tell the world about - just not in a good way. Enjoy your seven pounds, I hope it will cost you many times that in future business.
( edit -and it did, they went bust shortly afterwards. I hope I played a small part in that!)
