I had Refractive Lens Exchange performed almost two weeks ago at Memira Copenhagen. Super professional, friendly and helpful staff - everyone there! Plus I had lots of questions and they had all the answers. And I would certainly recommend Dr. Mensah to anyone. I had researched - a lot - and wanted Panoptix trifocal lenses, which they are using now.

About my experience with the surgery itself and results so far. I had -5.75 in both eyes and also increasingly needed reading glasses (+2.0). It's important to realise everyone's experience is unique. Mine was - and is - pretty amazing so far. They played relaxing music, talked me through the whole thing as it progressed on a Monday morning. That afternoon my brain was on overload. I could see to walk, and had little glimpses of sharp vision through blurry, medicated eyes.

The next day: I woke up and could already see far away with sharper vision than I can ever remember in my whole life (even with correction). I mean amazingly sharp - I feel like I have new eyes. My near vision was already quite good the next day too, but that took a few hours more. I worked several hours that day (computer and vidcalls). My near vision is still improving, but I don't need reading glasses (!!), And, if it just stayed as good as it is right now, I'd be happy.

Still adjusting to contrasts (black text on a white background appears a bit grey but slowly improving), and some glare around screen letters (esp. light text on dark background on my mobile). I was concerned I wouldn't see well in the dark in the house at night - but it feels like I actually see much better. In bed at night, in the dark, I still can't stop staring at the crystal clear outlines of the windows in the moonlight. And yes, you can see the stars.

Bright lights at night, esp LED lights outside, do have halos around them (multiple rings). It can seem like a symphony of light sometimes, esp when you're driving. From my research I know it will diminish over the next months as my brain adjusts to the signals from my new eyes. I can only speak for myself but, again, even if the halos don't get any better than this I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Had a FS Lasik done a couple days ago. Best decision ever. When you arrive at the clinic, you are a little anxious, but the staff was friendly and talked you through the whole proces nice and slowly. The operation took around 15 minutes in total and was mostly painless. The aftermath was not as rough as the descriped. If you use contact lenses daily, it kinda feels like having contacts in for a whole day and having somewhat groggy eyes. When you leave the clinic you are able to see, which was crazy if you ask me.

If you have any questions regarding the operation, dont ask your own optician, they dont know what they are talking about most of the time, and only tell scare stories about the procedure!

Would definitely recommend this if you are tired of contacts or glasses!

Great staff & great experience. Best thing i ever did for myself was the FS lasic operation at Memira. So Happy i picked them.

I am very glad and satisfied about the result of my operation. So happy to wake up in the morning seeing everything is clear and I don't have to rush to get my eyeglasses or contact lenses on. What a convenience! However, I get dry eyes when I use computer for a long time and see a bit of halos in the night. Nonetheless, I am happy with my eyesight now.

They are probably a good company with a good product, thing is you can't get in touch with them. Made several attempts over the last 3 months without success.

Word of advise, maybe you should hire 20-100 more people to pick up your phones? Seems like there is never enough, no matter what time of the day I call.

Had FS Lasik done just yesterday at the Aarhus clinic and it is the best thing I have done, my eyes were a little sore and watery for an hour or so after the surgery (nothing bad, imagine chopping onions) but within the next couple of hours I could see more than I had for years. Woke up this morning with perfect vision and no soreness, 100% worth it!

The staff were kind and reassuring, the surgeon and nurse were very professional and did an amazing job.

Extremely happy with the outcome and I think it will certainly change my life :).

I'm 46 years old. I got RLE (new permanent lenses) to correct long-sight glasses, screen glasses and reading glasses. I have not used any glasses since the operation.
The operation was not very painful, and I was able to drive to work the next morning having had both eyes done at once.
Close reading has been 20:20 from the day after the operation, whereas the long-sight has taken a bit longer to settle. From about 2 meters away, it was only just good enough to drive, for the first few weeks, then it has got better. The halo effect took a bit longer - it is a bit scary when driving at night, but after 3 months it has settled down a lot and is hardly noticeable now.

Memira makes you feel welcome and safe at all times with their superfriendly qualified staff, their nice atmosphere and up-to-date devices.
I see great now and would recommend it to everybody else!
