how the mighty have fallen all I can…

how the mighty have fallen all I can say is avoid avoid avoid they selling poor quality products then when dead on arrival try to blame the customer and try to refuse refunds
also do not buy any insurance products as they sell them to you then deny selling them to you

Very good overall.

Ok
From the top:
PC arrived late/ this was due to parts shortages-not overclockers fault.
However, one of fans broke after two weeks- this is due to their suppliers- you might want to speak to your suppliers about quality control.
Overclockers arranged pick up promptly.
However / repairs department packed pc so badly and with the help of DPD issues with the box - it was smashed.

Again overclockers picked up promptly- however their invoice system does not allow for moving premises so you have to give the new address each time.
I complained and after much confusion where they had the pc or not / as they couldn’t tally or find it due to invoice system not updating correct address- they have a partial refund on the build.
This didn’t really make up for the grief and aggravation of only having a pc for two weeks since April.
However (apparently my new favourite word)….
1)Repairs department made a good job and replaced all broken parts for new.
I hope they invoice 50% DPD for the damage.
2)50% Overclockers fault for NOT packing it properly.
3)Do yourself a favour Overclockers and invest in Quickbooks as your invoice and CRM is awful and causing you money in mistakes and loss of sales.

Overall: Overclockers is a great company and reasonable cost.
The products are high end and customer service is very good.

To make it 5 stars each and every time - all you need to do is three simple things.

Get a good end to end software system to take the money, track and dispatch.

Give the repairs people a bigger budget for bubble wrap and cardboard.

Never send out another pc again without it being wrapped correctly.

Give all your staff a pay rise as they are all good people eager to do a good job.

Have a word with DPD who I have to say today were excellent and went out of their way to bring the PC back in one piece .

DPD are generally very good when they aren’t flinging boxes about.

They are very efficient and well organised- but unfortunately the boxes move about a bit in the vans and that’s when it goes Pete Tong( maybe use nets? Or pack better…

Would we buy again?

Absolutely because you could not fault the nice staff going the extra mile to make it right.

Yes, problems happens- but although it was all very frustrating at times, everything was put right in the end.

Thank you

Terrible service

Terrible service, Terrible online checkout system and a terrible call centre. "The UK specialist", it is an absolute shambles of a company. I would avoid at all costs, when they say they have GPUs in stock, they actually don't. They just take your money, do not get back to you and make up some random queue allocation.

The checkout system is beyond dreadful

The checkout system is beyond dreadful, nothing works. And when you finally reach the final complete purchase button, bang paypal error code. You want a good PC components website add ERs and use Overclockers not Overclock

They know what they are doing

They know what they are doing.

This company is NOT the same as Overclockers.co.uk check out the difference: overclock.co.uk . They are a cheap and similar to a scam.

This mickey mouse company... they just stole £400 from me! When you pay via pay pal it goes to some JohnBlog@gmail email, this is a very cheap and low effort company. No one answers the phone, they dont have customer service, or a dedicated email!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

Take your money instantly then break that contract with a refund a month later

Ordered a "Daily Deal" Gigabyte motherboard for £175, which was taken at the time via Paypal on the 6th December. They have just refunded my money (04/01/17), suggesting that they "can't secure the stock", although their website still advertises that same board as "In Stock" at £203.99.
Their Ts & Cs.
Clause 5.3, says that when they take your money that constitutes a legally binding contract.
Clause 5.4 says "The goods are subject to availability. If on receipt of your order the goods you have ordered are not available in stock, the vendor will inform you as soon as possible"
They took my money immediately and having emailed them seven times since the 9th of December and phoned them three times, was only replied to once, today, to refund!
I guess they don't want to sell something as advertised, as it will lose them money, because they made a mistake on pricing.
Trading Standards would have something to say about that!

Asus Swift PG278Q Gaming monitor

My Son bought a PC gaming bundle for over £2500 one item was a Asus monitor, before the 12 month deadline a fault occurred we have it in a email to overclockers they asked for it to be sent back and it would be checked over to see if there was a fault, so ok it went back it was checked and a fault found 1. we asked for a diagnostic readout as to the fault we didn't get it. 2. overclocks gave options as to what to do next a partial refund or a B grade monitor my son wanted to look at his options but you sent out a "B" grade monitor 3. I spoke to a James Bailey the repair manager who told me under the consumers act that's all they legally had to send out which they did and I told him to relook at the options.

If I spend a lot of money with Overclockers I expect a good after service which we didn't get the things we asked for didn't happen. The Asus Monitor has a 3 Year warranty and we expected a new monitor.

I have spent a lot of money with overclockers in the past and recently however with the ay my son has been treated and I have been spoken to over the phone by James Bailey I will be urging people not to buy products from overclockes as if you have a problem you will be greeted with only "B" grade replacements and not what you asked for from day one.

I spoke to a guy in sale who said his hands are tied as even his manager cold not help and to post it on here as the directors would see it and might do something.

I an totally disgusted and I pledg for today I will never use overclockers again unless this problem is resolved and I will urge friends and the public not to use overclockers due to the aftersales if they get a problem.

Disgusted

If some of this reads wrong I apologise as I am so agree with Overclockers

Excellent Company.

I have made quite a few orders with Overclockers.UK over the years and much more recently, and have never been let down.
I had to RMA a motherboard, and I got a very quick replacement, so I was very impressed.
Their RMA service is simple and easy (for a numpty like me) to understand and use, and works very well.
Deliveries are always on time, and notified via email the date and time of delivery which has always happened.
I have had occasion to phone them with a query, and the Tech chap was very pleasant and helpful, and, patient too. :)
He resolved my problem, which makes me very happy to buy computer parts etc. from them when required.
No complaints from me...:)

Good service,

I ordered a computer case for around £25 which was good. But when they shipped it they sent it to the wrong address which I don't mind because I didn't need it straight away they just needed to be more attentive with their orders but they soon fixed that and sent it to the correct address.

Disappointed with returns policy

I ordered a new motherboard from Overclock.co.uk. They had trouble taking payment and I had to exchange several emails with them before the item was dispatched. Their courier left the item under my doormat in the middle of the day, even though I live in Central London!

The motherboard malfunctioned from the word go, and after much testing, I sent it back for a refund. I think their response says it all:

"hiwe have received thisitem back however the cpu socket has bent pins which would have caused this issue and void the warranty as per our terms and conditions and per manufacturer guide lines this item will now be returned to you as the warranty has been voided "

So basically, it was broken, which voids its warranty, which means they won't send me a replacement or give me a refund. I'd like to contact them and try and convince them that the board must have been damaged from the outset, but I really get the feeling I won't get anywhere with it. This returns process was quite slow too. They had the board for two working days before responding to me. I should have ordered from Amazon...

OK as long as it works - if it doesn't be prepared for a LONG wait!

I've bought from Overclock many times in the past. Their prices are average and sometimes have parts that are out of stock elsewhere. We tend to use them as a backup but never again!
We have had to return 2 items in the recent past, both graphics cards.
The first time it took over a month to get a resolution despite contacting them on numerous occasions. Whatever you ask you just get an anonymous e-mail from 'Returns Dept', never a name. This, in itself, I find unprofessional.
This most recent card was sent back as it failed in less than 6 weeks and I expected a quick replacement.
From the start they were devious, telling me they didn't receive it for 5 days even though I had proof they had received it in one day. Then they said it had to go back to the manufacturer as it was over 30 days old and they didn't have any stock to replace it with so I just asked for a refund so I could purchase another from elsewhere. That wasn't acceptable to them either telling me they had tested it and couldn't find a fault (why send it to the manufacturers then??).
I e-mailed them every couple of days, mostly not hearing anything back at all but if I did it was the standard 'as stated before blah, blah blah - Returns Dept'
Had enough now and will never buy from them again.
Terrible Customer Service.

Great Prices and speedy delivery

Just spent a small fortune on my second order with Overclock. Ordered the new Coolermaster Cosmos II case, a new motherboard and ram which arrived today after placing the order with them yesterday. Cant fault. My last order was about a year ago, and that went smoothly too, however the CPU fan I ordered was faulty and needed swapping - didnt take them long at the time and was straight forwards with no delay! All in all top marks for Overclock.

bad rma

Quick delivery and reasonable prices.Customer service and Rma service is the worst.Sent a motherboard for Rma after 4 weeks I phoned them to find out where my board was, their response was we'll call you when we find out.Two days later no phone call. The longest Rma ever and I had a few.Better off sticking to bigger retailers if your a system builder.
