Roomstays-Bad Experience

I was booking rooms for a funeral; thought I was phoning customer service for the actual hotel but turns out it was Roomstays (which is not identified on hotel website nor when speaking with a service agent). Had to cancel the rooms due to illness and phoned hotel directly because I thought booking was direct. Hotel phoned me back to say I had booked with Expedia and had to call them directly which I did. Room charges were reversed however was hit with a $500 charge that Roomstays says I also booked on their website and didn't cancel so am responsible for. I did not do this booking, nor receive any confirmation other than the 2 rooms that I cancelled. Visa has reversed the charges, I have sent a letter to the hotel's customer service dept and will be filing a report with Consumer Services. Stay FAR AWAY from any dealings with this company. I recommend you phone the hotel directly as often as possible.

CLOSE A FRAUD

I USED THIS COMPANY INADVERTENTLY AS I THOUGHT I WAS ON THE HOTEL SITE. BOOKED IT IN CANADA AT A CANADIAN HOTEL BUT WAS CHARGED IN US DOLLARS. PLUS WHEN I DID GO TO THE CORRECT SITE THE PRICE WAS LESS AND COMPLETELY REFUNDABLE.JUDGING BY THE FEEDBACK ON THE WEB THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN.TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CAUGHT LIKE ME.

'WATCH OUT' Crooked business ROOMSTAYS.COM

I recently phoned a number I got on line for Best Western but it must have been Roomstays. They did not mention the quote was in US dollars, nor did they mention there was an additional $11.17 booking charge which would be added.
Hope to see this slimeball company put out of business, in the mean time AVOID THEM

BEWARE of "Room Stays.com"

BE VERY CAREFUL when making a hotel reservations!!! When I went directly to what I thought was the hotel site today to make my reservation, I selected the first selection on Google which contained the hotel name first & then "Room Stays.com." Turns out Room Stays is a booking service. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that tag-on after the hotel name & have now been charged a non-refundable (of course) $9.95 to make a reservation that I didn't need "help" making! When I called & asked for a refund of the $9.95, I was told I should have read their "Terms & Conditions" & there is nothing they can do about it. I will attempt to dispute the charge on my credit card. Talk about an easy way to make $$$!!!

Great Experience. Easy to Book, quick response, very helpful.

I used this website to book a vacation with my family in Miami. As I have little ones I had to be very careful to have a family friendly hotel and location and this website was truly helpful and the staff were amazing and very responsive. It made me feel secure and safe that I was doing the right choice.
I will definitely use again and recommend it!

BEWARE of this insidious site

I went, I thought (and I am not a novice at internet searches) directly to the hotel site. I had stayed there in January and was going to TX again in March. I THOUGHT I booked online with the hotel this time.
Then I got a $9.95 charge on my credit card statement which I did not recognize. My wonderful credit card company (CHASE - super people) put me on a three-way call to the number associated with the charge and I found out it was a booking fee with Roomstays. Non-refundable. Then I called the hotel directly to make sure I had a real reservation (I never had heard of Roomstays before). The knowledgeable hotel manager asked for the confirmation number and was able to tell me right away that it was an Expedia number! Nowhere was Expedia ever mentioned before this or after. He confirmed that I did have a reservation and when I explained that I thought I had made it with the hotel directly, he told me that these booking companies are getting "sneaky" imitating sites, and to please call directly for reservations next time. I sure will!!!
Then I went to TX and had a lovely stay and paid with a credit card.
As luck would have it, my credit card statement date cut the Roomstays charges in two, meaning that on February's statement I got the $9.95 booking fee, and when I returned home from my trip I got a charge from Roomstay (posted the day after the booking fee) for 30% MORE than the amount I had paid to the hotel!!! I did not realize I was paying online - just thought I was making a reservation and the credit card was to hold the room.
I called the hotel to see if they got paid by Roomstay; some sort of posting mix-up - they had not received it yet and immediately refunded what I had paid while there. It was really my error for not being alert.
More...so today I called Roomstay after looking at their website "lowest room prices guaranteed" and asked for a refund of the difference. I was told that the hotel should not have disclosed the lower rate!!! What!? They didn't "disclose" anything - just charged me a reasonable rate. I told the Roomstay agent that I thought it was dishonest to claim lowest rates, not to mention the added booking fee, when indeed it was not true. To their credit, they are refunding me the difference "as a courtesy this time". Darlin', there will NOT BE A NEXT TIME. The time I spent investigating and calling people to clear this up was way too long. Beware of this company, for the unwary will get snagged and shagged.

Stay away!

I used it to stay at a hotel for 2 nights my bill was $175.31. When I looked at my credit card bill they charged me twice one was $188.65 and an other one for $11.95. When I called they told me that in there terms of use states that they can charge me fees for using there service. I told them that on my bill there was a 39.07 user fee already part of the invoice. She told me that they can charge me more and that is that because it is in the terms of use!

Stay away from them. And stick with the real sites. If it is to good to be true then it just might be.

HORRIBLE FRAUD! WARN ANYONE TO NEVER USE THEM!

I check for a hotel on their website which advertise to have the best price guarantee for $57. I thought that's great so I go ahead and book it and after I put in all my credit card information, it immediately processed $77 WITHOUT SHOWING ME THE PRICE FIRST. I was like what happened and how could it suddenly be $20 MORE coz I would have booked with someone else who offered $65. I called the company and they DO NOT CARE and said the supervisor was Britney and the agent name was Laura E. who insisted that they will charge me $10 for MESSING ME UP AND WASTING MY TIME TO BOOK WITH THEM and NOW I STILL HAVE TO WASTE MORE TIME BY CALLING MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY! WARN everyone about this FRAUD!

Total scam on service fees

I'm out $10, but if I'd bothered to check internet reviews, I would have been warned. My only hope is this site goes out of business sooner than later.

An awful company not to be trusted

Their paid google search result brought up the hotel that I THOUGHT was correct. But only after receiving the confirmation email did I realize it was in the wrong city. Actually, the wrong state. Even though I was willing to book the correct room through them, they refused to refund the full rate for the mistaken reservation. Basically, they would accept nothing less than charging for both rooms. NEVER use this site. Their "no refund ever" policy is simply unacceptable.

Roomstays.com

First time i used the site, thanks so much. All information was right on target. I was alittle nervous, but when I arrived, the hotel was just as I expected. Will tell my friends!

Great Site!

Though this website I got a great deal on the Sheraton by the Baltimore Airport. Very user friendly, and I had no problems with my reservation or with my hotel. I would definitely recommend this site!
