SMARTBUYGLASSES.COM - WARNING - DO NOT ORDER A THING FROM THIS WEBSITE! i.e. SMARTBUY GLASSES THEY ARE OPERATING A COMPLETE SCAM! YES ITS A SCAM!
MODUS OPERANDI
1. If you have not received your sunglasses in the 7-10days allocated for delivery after ordering them, be very afraid.
2. You will get the standard, Sorry we are out of stock, Shipping date has been delayed, supplier delay in delivery to name a few excuses.
3. Their goal is to drag the excuses out as long as they can with multiple emails if you decide to use that method of communication.
4. If you call and leave a message on the free call number, the obligatory 24 hr response time to your message is just a funny scammer promise. Probably due to the fact that they dont have the ability to return calls from the customer (pull the wool over your eyes) Service Desk based in SHANGHAI!
5. Dont believe a word the Customer Service Desk rep tells you, they have been coached to drag out a customer complaint or enquiry past 45 days. Why? Because PAYPAL wont refund you money after that date.
HOW TO REMEDY THE SITUATION!
1. DONT WAIT 45 DAYS if you used PAYPAL, ask for a refund as soon as possible.
2. IF YOU USED A CREDIT CARD AS PAYMENT contact your Bank and dispute the transaction. Problem sorted.
3. However the cheeky sods may try the following:
a. Provide a fictitious delivery receipt to the credit card agent;
b. Delivery a nasty fake set of sunglasses, made in China of course.
HOW TO FEEL BETTER!
1. If you are having a bored moment and need a laugh, feel free to make a crank call to their customer service free call number. In fact pass it around to your entire Facebook group. These clowns waste our time, why not waste theirs. Kama if a wonderful thing!
2. Spread the word!
THINGS TO NOTE!
1. IGNORE any reviews that praise SmartBuy Glasses service. Why? Perhaps the bad use of English grammar might give it away in the positive reviews. I suspect some bored Customer Services staff has been coerced to write something to correct any negative blogs.
2. Feel somewhat sorry for the Customer Service staff, Some major Tool is pulling some strings somewhere in the food chain and these poor sods have regurgitate the scam material in order to make a buck.
3. Lastly as this little scam is based out of China I thought it only appropriate to end with Confucius: To know what is right and not do it is the worst cowardice
