I placed my first order as part of a referral. Was told I'd get 10% off my first order. It accepted the referral code but no additional discount and nothing to say why. Otherwise the order process se... See more

Terrible company to purchase from. Placed a preorder for a product that was released on Friday 21st August.
As I did not receive any notification regarding dispatch, I contacted customer services. They lied and told me that the product release date was 4th September.
When I asked directly whether they were having supply issues, they admitted that they were.
September 4th came and went, and still no notification regarding delivery. I had to contact customer services again, only to be told there was going to be another delay of "10-14 days".
I asked for a refund, and Zavvi sent me a response which completely ignored my request.
I then told them that I would be initiating a chargeback through PayPal and miraculously my order was dispatched and delivered within 48 hours, not the 10-14 days I was told about.
My suspicion is that Zavvi had some product all along but could not meet demand, so eventually sent me someone else's order once I mentioned the chargeback.
Customer services were unhelpful and took too long to reply at every touch point.
I have just started out with collecting trading cards and will never order from Zavvi again, so they have lost my business.
During this debacle, I ordered the same product directly from Topps for the same price and received it within 48 hours!
Ordered 2 boxes, one delivered today, don’t know why they weren’t both delivered together
Easy site to navigate to purchase the 4K media book, nice offer with 15% off and free postage.
I pre-ordered an item in mid-July due to release on September 6th. My item wasn’t dispatched, then when I raised an inquiry a week or so later they cancelled my order. The item is now sold out everywhere. I was sent a generic half apology and wasn’t offered any kind of compensation. Don’t trust Zavvi!
I’m experiencing a very similar issue to the review above. I returned damaged items to Zavvi, and the goods were received back by Zavvi on 28 August. Today is 14 September, meaning I have now been waiting 17 calendar days for my refund.
Zavvi’s own policy states that refunds are processed within 14 days, so this timeframe has now been exceeded.
This is a considerable amount of money, and having it tied up for this length of time has put me in a difficult financial position. I have already contacted customer services and chased this, but I am still waiting for my money to be returned.
The returns process and communication have been extremely disappointing, particularly considering that Zavvi has had the returned goods back for over two weeks now.
I’m posting this review in the hope that someone from Zavvi will actually look into this and resolve it, rather than providing another generic response.
Zavvi, please process my refund immediately and contact me with a proper update. I have now waited 17 days for a refund that your own policy says should have been processed within 14 days.

Ordered £1000 of MTG cards (booster boxes). They arrived damaged so they were returned. The return process was extremely awkward as I had to message via the Zavvi app and they only reply once every 24+ hours.
Once it was finally sorted, I sent the boxes back. I have been waiting 3 weeks since they were marked as delivered back to Zavvi, and have not had any word back about my return. After a lot of chasing, communication has broken down and the last I've heard is to remain patient. This is very unfortunate and I think the company needs to drastically improve it's returns and customer service.

I paid for a pre-order item, it was very easy to do so, and included free postage. Very competitively priced and good communications after ordering.

Ordered items Wednesday morning and paid extra for next day delivery. So far I've received nothing and the tracking details for Royal Mail say they are still expexting a parcel but no update on delivery. I just hope the product is worth the wait

Order was sat in processing for almost a week. There was no communication as to why this was. One of my items is still sitting in processing now as I write this

Extremely disappointing experience with Zavvi.
Customer service responses often feel automated, generic, and full of fluff rather than actually answering the questions being asked. I understand that companies use AI and automated tools to support customer service teams, but the purpose should be to improve the customer experience, not to hide behind vague, copy-and-paste responses. Customers want clear answers and solutions, not paragraphs of filler that avoid the issue entirely.
The handling of pre-orders is even more frustrating. Customers can wait months, sometimes over a year, with little meaningful communication, only for orders to be cancelled around release. Having money taken long before stock is clearly allocated, then being left in the dark, creates very little confidence in the process.
The overall impression is that Zavvi cares more about taking customers' money than providing a good customer experience. Trust is built through transparency, communication, and accountability, and unfortunately Zavvi falls short on all three. I know many collectors who now refuse to order from Zavvi because they've lost confidence in the company's ability to manage pre-orders and support customers properly.
I certainly won't be relying on Zavvi for future purchases.

Warning for MTG players
Pre-Ordered a MTG hobbit gift bundle 4 months in advance. They took payment in full on pre-order so to me that meant I'd get an allocation. It then sold out a few days later.
Gets to release day there is no dispatch. Few days later I'm sending messages and the response I get is they'll check with their buying team.
I also get an email that is super vague basically just saying 'we know it hasn't been despatched'.
No response to further messages.
I gave it about a week from when it was meant to be dispatched and cancelled it. Was refunded in full.
If your counting on stock for a pre-order don't use zavvi they are over selling their allocation and not providing information to people.
