After my experience, I would highly recommend looking at alternative options, if you want a smoother experience in making a claim for any leaks or damage to your property. I had to raise 2 complaints and take this to the Financial Services Ombudsmen (FSO) which likely going nowhere. I had a singular intermittent bathroom leak back in Nov 2025, which was difficult to trace due to not being a consistent one. 2 plumbers were called, both of them were unable to trace the source, at which point discussions with Halifax broke down as they initially refused to help with anything to trace the leak, which included minimal contact, 2 different claims people and my claim being 'lost' in their system for 2 weeks. Coupled to a phone system that was automated and contentiously gets details wrong compounding the issue, so good luck trying to phone them. No direct email was offered for the best part of a month until finally getting a hold of a point of contact via email. Complaint no 1 was raised, and after laying out £714 for a leak detection company, the leak was traced to the toilet overflow pipe not being correctly connected. This was repaired and resolved at my own cost, per insurance agreement. Eventually the complaint was upheld , and the £714 was refunded plus £400 for the delay and a change in procedure when dealing with a hard to find leak. Halifax will help now with leak detection if you have more than 1 plumber out to find a leak without success. Only after this month of messing around did Halifax send out an assessor to inspect and recommend required repairs to the house. The results of this would require the bathroom floor to be stripped, some work around the drywalls as this had been affected, and the ceiling replacement depending on asbestos testing. 3 tests later due to samples being lost in the post given at this point it was Christmas 2025, it was found that the ceiling had to be completely removed due to asbestos. This took a month to resolve, but was then sorted out pretty quickly. Upon the old ceiling was removed, the pipes from the toilet and bath to the down pipe were found in poor condition and was not in a fit enough state for restoration to service, of which pictures were taken and emailed to the contractors for them to access if the pipework needed repairs / replacement to ensure the rest of the work was not at risk. A few days later the contractors agreed that the pipework had to be repaired given they had to remove the toilet and sink to facilitate floor repairs which was part of the claim after which they raised a project scope update to Halifax per normal procedure. A few days after the email to the contractors, they came back and told me that Halifax refused to cover the repairs sighting "We do not cover bad workmanship" despite the fact their own contractors had assessed the issue and deemed it necessary work to ensure the surrounding works were not put at further risk. At this point , this was March 2026, so I requested that the contractors quote me for the repair work to redo the pipework and not further delay the repairs. The cost was another £600 of plumbing repairs at my cost and paid to the contractors to get the plumbing resolved with all invoices with pictures taken. Added to this, I was requested to vacate the house during the works as there was no other facilities on site so I moved in with family for the projected 2 weeks needed for the work to be carried out, rather than into a hotel as a favour to save Halifax further costs of £1200 for that time. Cue Complaint no 2 back to Halifax, with the pictures, emails, cost estimates for accommodation that were not required with supporting evidence, to which I was given the same lame excuse of "We do not cover bad workmanship" despite their own contractors contradicting them and myself presenting all the emails, invoices and picture of the affected plumbing. Upon this , I requested that to be confirmed in writing and took it up with the Financial Service Ombudsmen following some advice from a friend whom works in insurance. Do not be afraid to raise a complaint as every complaint with a financial service automatically gets registered with the FSO and has to be addressed. The house is at least back in order, and I am currently awaiting results from the FSO on what the decision is on the matter of the £600, but at the time of writing , this seems unlikely.

My membership was terminated in an email randomly with immediate effect over allegations relating to a Google review criticising the lack of enforcement of gym etiquette. I was not given any opportunity to respond to these allegations before the decision was made. More seriously, the termination email states: “We have written to you before about repeated breaches of our membership rules.” This is factually incorrect in my experience. I did not receive any previous written warnings or communications from The Gym Group regarding these alleged breaches. I have therefore asked them to provide copies of the alleged warnings and the dates on which they were supposedly sent. I have also asked them to provide the evidence showing that I personally took and uploaded the photographs they refer to, rather than simply making an assumption based on material found online. What concerns me most is that The Gym Group expects members to follow its Membership Agreement and rules, while I feel that the same standards of accuracy, fairness and contractual process have not been applied to the way my membership was terminated. I have requested that they identify the specific contractual provision they believe I breached, provide the evidence relied upon, and explain the basis for immediate termination. I am not opposed to reasonable gym rules, and I understand the importance of respecting other members' privacy. My concern is how this particular decision was reached and the inaccurate statement that I had previously been contacted about repeated breaches when I had not received such communication. And reaching out to the customer service take hours and is of no use as the general response is to reach out to the branch where they are not available. It has caused me a lot of hassle. Even I don't wish to continue at a gym with such huge double standards but this whimsical sudden termination in the middle of billing cycle means that won't refund the money that I had paid for this month which is quite unfair and I'm going to reach out to the consumer right committee as there's a clear breach of membership agreement on their end!

I ordered a very specific frame from Zenni—one with a distinctive snake design on the side. Zenni sent me the WRONG frame, one that I have never even ordered before. You would think this would be simple to resolve. It hasn't been. I have sent multiple photos clearly showing the frame I received, yet after 10 DAYS of going back and forth, Zenni's customer service still cannot seem to understand that they sent me the wrong product. I bent over backwards trying to get this corrected and was eventually promised that the correct replacement frame would be sent. Even then, Zenni expected ME to pop the prescription lenses out of the incorrect frame and install them into the replacement frame myself. Why should the customer have to do that when Zenni made the mistake? Frankly, Zenni should have immediately sent me the correct frames WITH new lenses and refunded me for the inconvenience of spending more than a week trying to fix their error. Instead, 10 days later, they are STILL questioning my return, and my replacement frame STILL has not shipped. This has been one of the most frustrating customer-service experiences I've had. Zenni made the mistake, I provided the photographic evidence they requested, and somehow I am still the one being inconvenienced and forced to prove what happened. I will never—and I mean NEVER—shop at Zenni again.

KLOOK is a scam Bought Klook's "EVERYDAY Movie e-Voucher" expecting a general-use movie voucher — that's how it's marketed. Tried to redeem it for a current theatrical release and was told the film wasn't eligible, because GV doesn't offer "Movie e-Voucher" as a ticket type for that title. Nowhere at checkout was I told which films qualify — I was expected to manually check a third-party booking site, film by film, session by session, before buying a voucher meant for future, flexible use. When I raised this, Klook's "Service Recovery" team sent a scripted response quoting fine print buried in the product page, insisted the burden was on me to verify eligibility in advance, and refused a full refund — offering 50% "as a goodwill gesture" instead. Weeks of back-and-forth, same canned answer every time. If a voucher excludes most major releases, say so clearly at the point of sale. Don't sell "EVERYDAY" and deliver "occasionally, if you do our homework for us." Avoid this product — and think twice before trusting Klook with anything you can't easily reverse.

I am extremely disappointed with Birkenstock’s customer support. As a loyal customer owning multiple pairs, I bought new Mayari sandals for an upcoming holiday. The right sandal had a 3mm size variation, causing severe blisters within a 15-minute walk. I expected dealing directly with a reputable company would be smooth, but it was a nightmare. They made me wait over two weeks while requesting detailed photos and measurements. After all that delay—which forced me to buy alternative shoes for my holiday—they refused the defect claim and told me to just return them for a refund. To make matters worse, their next email sent standard return instructions stating items must be unworn and free of signs of wear, contradicting their own approval after I explicitly stated they were worn once! Dragging out a defect claim for weeks, forcing last-minute expenses, and sending conflicting return instructions shows zero care for loyal customers.

Sainsburys sent me an email to rate Trust Pilot. So before I start I am stating something about the 'Brand' TRUSTPILOT. Not Sainsburys. Trust Pilot have the wrong business brand name because the company only allows positive reviews and does not care for the truth about companies that under perform. They say so in their replies. They do not act as a support group that caters for customers that have been let down by manufacturers, large businesses or the small. They only promote positive vibes and challenge the companies that fail to abide by the Sale of Goods Act, the Office of Fair Trading and Trading Standards Regulations. This includes Hotels, B and B's, Restaurants, small and large shop owners. Trust Pilot does not realise that Customers have rights and when they forward a review; Trust Pilot wants an easy life and states "WE DO NOT ACCEPT NEGATIVE REVIEWS" So; they are not trust worthy are they? You tell me!

Absolutely horrific company.. firstly the only part of "Air-Con" i got was the "Con" part. They are NOT air conditioning units, they are really poor fans that hardly blow any air around the room and they offfer less than ZERO cooling. After arriving i said i was returning them and they offered me upto 70% refund to keep them.. im assuming the return costs were a nightmare for them and they didnt want to do it. But i refused as they were as useful as a chocolate teapot. They were returned 3 days later, after messaging them everyday i just kept getting a copy and pasted response (im assume Ai) i kept trying for a month and still no refund. In the end i went to Paypal who refunded me, but epicooler clearly never intended to refund me at all.

Over the past six months I have lost count of the items being returned to the retailer from this company. We are a business so always open for deliveries, yet they say they have attempted deliveries which is a lie. I now ask companies who their courier is, and if they say EVRI I refuse to deal with them. We have no problem with other couriers. Waiting for important deliveries only to find they have been returned with no genuine attempt to deliver is a complete waste of time. In the past week alone we have had the same problem with three different orders. We are in the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, not hard to find, but it seems the driver has a policy of not bothering to deliver.

When one calls out a plumber hoping for a quick response they do not come faster than FRP. We were absolutely delighted with the service from start to finish and whilst call out charges are premium rate the speed and professionalism fixing the burst pipe was priceless. The engineer was brilliant who went about his work without issue or complaint aspecially as the burst pipe was in a hard to reach area in a loft space. Would we call FRP again. Definately. Highly recommended. Well done and thank you.

I’m very happy with my experience with FTMO so far. I successfully completed the $100K Challenge and Verification, and the overall process was smooth and professional. The rules are clearly explained, the platform and trading conditions are good, and the support team has been helpful whenever I had questions. I’m now looking forward to starting my FTMO Account and continuing my trading journey with them. Hopefully, this is just the beginning! 🚀📈 Thank you, FTMO! 🙌

I would especially like to mention Peter who went above and beyond to help. Both Usama and Peter are a credit to the company. Scumbags the lot of them. I tried to create an account and was auto banned. Apparently creating an account with your own details is "fraudulent activity" now. Appealing this just results in a cut and place reply, repeating the nonsense that you must be a criminal. It's nice being told by a bot/faceless rep that you are a criminal, just for trying to create an account. Company deserves to go under.

We were handed a vehicle with pre-existing damage (noted by the owner herself on our handover contract), and at the end of the rental they withheld the entire deposit, forcing us to cover repair costs that weren't ours to pay. Completely abusive and disproportionate — they do whatever they want and don't even give you a way to appeal. Would never recommend using this rental platform.

This company is a scam. They charge you at checkout for an insurance of more than 9 pounds. I bought some plastic boxes each costing 4 pounds so why would I pay for an insurance of 9 pounds! I asked for a refund as I never selected it and was automatically added and they refused. STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPANY AS IT IS A SCAM.

Order my shark fan on a Wednesday received it 9.15am the next day . Bought 2 shark fans from Costco at the time £90 each . But wanted one more in lovely pink this time . With 30% off the price. The only thing shark should change is a way to get into the front to clean the blades. As you can’t with this fan.
