Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 88 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers are highly dissatisfied with the app and website, citing numerous issues with their functionality and user experience. People frequently mention that the app and website are plagued with an excessive number of intrusive ads, often blocking content and making navigation difficult. Reviewers also find the user interface to be poor, with confusing layouts, tiny fonts, and a general lack of clarity, making it hard to find desired information. The accuracy of the weather forecasts is a significant concern for many, with reports of incorrect predictions and misleading information, leading some to question the company's name itself. Some customers also express frustration with recent updates, which they feel have worsened the app's performance and introduced more advertisements, prompting them to delete the app entirely.

The widget stinks

The widget stinks. It will not update. Not the settings and I have the latest devices. It's supposed to be there to see at a glance but if it isn't up to date, it's useless. USELESS!!
The name is incorrect as well. It isn't very accurate.

Change the name to (In)accuweather

How can this company improve? Live up to your name. This service is THE biggest joke in weather forecasting. 2 years ago in Michigan we were warned of 12”-18” of snow - a ton for even western michigan. We didn’t even get our asphalt driveway whitened. What a joke. They missed it by 100%

Presently we’re under a severe thunderstorm warnings. Where is (in)accuweather? Offline. Again. They should be embarrassed.

Just about OK

It has a couple of good things - detail for one. But so inaccurate for rain. Slow to load and more adverts than weather sometimes when I log on. We have much more professional choices in the UK.

Not accurate for me!

The weather they AccuWeather foresees never comes, you can just it to guess that the opposite of what they say will happen.

Inappropriate and too many popup ads

Inappropriate and too many popup ads. Such as "Am I beautiful or ugly?" quiz, with a cartoon of a little girl. Adults playing a game to see if children / little girls are ugly or not - WTF? This feeds into stereotypical patriarchy, and it's sick knowing adults will be looking at little kids that way, even in a cartoon..Take it down!!!!

Radar is terrible

Radar is terrible. I can't tell you how many times it said it was raining or snowing heavily and there were no clouds in the sky for many miles ???? AI is pretty stupid !!!! Also many times I get lightning warning or say it's lightning and no clouds or storms for many miles around ???? This radar can't be trusted at all !!!

Pure rip off

I paid for premium to get rid of all the annoying obtrusive ads. If you are an accuweather fan then you know they used to be just fine, then they decided i guess to get greedy. However, that did not remove all of the ads, only a few of them, the ads are still there as obnoxious and interfering as they ever were. You must really purchase the premium premium + service to "remove ads" screw accuweather. Now you have lost a customer. I have cancelled my sub.

Yeah, I know Accuweather folks really don't care.

Just endless adds that are so bad you…

Just endless adds that are so bad you cant even hardly navigate anywhere. But more importantly the forecasting in the northwest is beyond bad. Unless its a super easy obvious forecast they are wildly inaccurate. Even 24 hours out they cant predict squat. They should be renamed to the inaccurate weather channel.

Accuweather isn’t very reliable

Accuweather isn’t very reliable. Their snowfall forecasts change everyday and are often too high, or too low. Moreover, during Hurricane season they put out a cone with an intensity for a storm that has not even formed

Ended up removing the app

Ended up removing the app from my phone cos ads over the radar screen made it unusable. Reached out to their folks and they seemed rather nonplussed. So just went with a diff app.

Worst tech support ever

Worst tech support ever. I pay for premium+ service that I have not been able to access for months. Their crack support team is clueless and no help, only excuses and fix attempts. They make it seem that it's my fault. I'm cancelling even though I paid for a full year.

Inaccurate and unrealistic

Has Accuweather replaced human meteorologists with AI? That would explain why their forecasts are getting inaccurate AND unrealistic. Especially regarding temperature and precipitation—temperature forecasts off by 8-10 degrees at the beginning of the day, and they keep adjusting the “forecast” throughout the day to match what’s happening. Snow forecasts off by inches—predicting a dusting, receiving 3 inches. Not just where I live, but also reported by family living halfway across the U.S. I’ve finally switched to an app that lets me select the forecast source, which I’ve set to National Weather Service.

This website is TRASH

This website is TRASH. Every single time you try to view anything, ads pop up and they are constant. You have got to be kidding! Use Weather underground. Much better site, and far less ghetto than Accuweather.

They seem to be guessing at best

They seem to be guessing at best. When you open the site , it will tell you rain in the for cast But when you look at the radar, there won't be a cloud in the sky for hours. So I don't think they even try to get things right, just take your money and say f. U.
