Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. The response was prompt, polite, and completely resolved my issue.
Unusable slow api
Unusable slow api. Response times of the support is also very slow. Only reachable by email. Really unacceptable. We are migrating to another system.
Incredibly friendly
Fast, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly support. They resolved my issue quickly and professionally. Highly recommended!
Jeison was quick to reply
Jeison was quick to reply, easy to communicate with and offered me a solution that would meet my timeframe. Best customer service experience in quite a while!
Absolutely dogshit to copy and paste…
Absolutely dogshit to copy and paste copy quickly. Slow loading times. Took two hours to copy paste copy. My time as a business owner should not be spent copy pasting in the automations but rather actually getting that copy in the first place.
The actual automations work.
The AI when prompted as well only makes images. I am paying $59/month right now and it's making images when I prompt it to write text with html only. It's such a hinderance and needs to be done manually. One of the most inefficient things within my business and strongly makes me consider using GHL or Kit instead because of it. The only thing that keeps it here is automation logic and deliverability. But overall incredibly time inefficient.

Terrible Customer Experience
I have never experienced such terrible customer service. We have not been thrilled with the product, but the CX is quite literally the worst I have ever encountered.
I haven't been able to get in touch with someone for weeks, everything is AI. The responses that I have received were incorrect or completely unhelpful.

Have been customer for a long time, wish I hadn't
Have been customer for a long time. However, the product is getting worse and worse by the month.
Each time they add another AI anything, they take away past functionality.
If you then report a bug, it get's added to a long list of things they might "consider" in the future.
However, the future has so far lasted 2 years and not a single issue has been adressed or solved within that timeframe.
This starts with html parsing in notifications, changes to viewports (that worked in the past), no responsive design for smaller screens and so many more issues.
If we could easily move away, we would. However, if you have a choice, I recommend doing a proper research before deciding for (or against) a tool.
Customer service is always friendly, but in the end can't fix anything. So sad to see this downwards trend from my experience.

Quick and effective customer service
Overall, the guidelines within the platform are very clear and helpful, however, faced with a specific issue, I contacted the help desk and received a very quick, polite and effective support. Marco was very kind and attentive and my experience as a customer was excellent!

I have attempted to work with most…
I have attempted to work with most marketing automation tools and have ended up frustrated every time. From Infusionsoft (KEAP) to Go High Level, Zoho One, to as far back as Yahoo Pipes.
The number of times I have found myself frustrated, disappointed, and unable to complete a marketing automation task has been legion.
Comes now, Active Campaign. I have played with it in earlier versions, thought it was clever, simpler than most, and workable, but still found myself frustrated.
Comes now the version with AI and wonderful support people. I got in over my head (again), fixed 75% of it with the AI tool built into it, and then yelled at the tool, saying I want to talk to support. It hooked me up.
Marianne did a fabulous job working with me and up-leveling to tier 3 support when needed.
Today I received my first automated email as planned. I am certain that would not have happened without the human support who was kind in the face of frustration, and the AI support who did a very good job answering questions.
I finally feel like I can produce Marketing Automations effectively.
Thank you, Active Campaign.

Platform is good, AI tool and support are not
While the platform itself is more technically advanced that the competitors and provides more advanced tools and more precise analytics, the support itself is not near that level.
I have tries contacting support but weren't able because every time I was redirected to ask their AI tool. After asking the AI tool I received reply that it cannot help out and that I should contact the support.
The issue was that over 70% of my contacts lost their tags (for newsletter subscription/targeting) without any apparent reason. After I have finally managed to somehow report the ticket (I wasn't able to submit it thorough their we as it has logged me out every time I have tried to login and submit it), it took over 3 weeks to receive any reasonable technical report for the issue.
Previously I had a different issue where a lot of campaign that were prepared and that looked OK completely broke at the moment it was sent.
In the preview it looked ok but after it got distributed everyone on the list received a newsletter with completely broken HTML and CSS. Since we have 3rd party promotional materials/newsletters this issue has impacted our business significantly.
After ~3 weeks I have finally received a reply that the issue doesn't have anything to do with Active Campaign, rather with the newsletter template that I have created which (as they said) contains excess RSS code. It took me to confront their diagnosis and specifically ask them to precise the location of the code. Only after that they have drawn back their diagnosis and after few additional days I was just messaged that the issue was resolved.
It took ~4 weeks to get a reply while sending paid emails not knowing if they would be delivered without breaking their layout.
The AI tool itself has outdated information about the platform/labels/functions and can give completely contradictory information in two consequent messages. Whenever I contacted support they have informed me to check with their AI tool first but the tool would say it cannot give that information or would not be reliable enough that I would be confident enough to do what it stated.
But it can be useful for troubleshooting automations.
Overall, the platform itself is really good, the AI tool is not something I could completely rely on and as mentioned, some information/functions/procedures in it are outdated so it takes additional time to communicate with it to manage to get correct information. The support is very slow and tends to sent question that were answered multiple time in a loop like they have never received the information which is extremely frustrating.

Raise the price drastically without warning
They have many features, but the truth is they raise the price drastically without warning and without giving you the option to accept it or not. It's disrespectful and abusive.

Superb Customer Service
The recent issue that I had was about not receiving the code on my mobile. I had to change to an authenticator and their customer service (Alexander) was really helpful. He even provided a video on how to fix the issue on my end. I was able to fix the issue with his help. A superb customer service.

ActiveCampaign, I would say “InactiveCampaign”
Following my Zoom meeting with ActiveCampaign, I would say “InactiveCampaign” is a more accurate description. Most of the basic connections I needed required a combination of Zapier and their Enterprise package.
Overall, I found ActiveCampaign’s offering to be rather misleading. Admittedly, the website is impressive, but when it comes down to pricing and functionality, the platform feels quite limited and can end up costing more than many other B2C CRM platforms, such as Klaviyo.
Their Starter and Plus tiers do not include AI features, while the Pro tier is around twice the price of some competitors that do include AI, yet still only offers basic segmentation. On top of that, automated connections, which arguably should be a one-time setup cost, are priced at roughly three times the basic package.
I joined a Zoom call to discuss my requirements, but the sales approach felt very pushy. Rather than properly listening to what I needed, the focus seemed to be on pushing me towards their most expensive tier.
After seeing their online reviews, I am glad I did not sign up. Many quoting hidden fees, difficulty cancelling to removal of feature following signing up.

Suspected missing DKIM signatures on some emails — no real support progress after 7 days
I am a paying ActiveCampaign customer with a properly authenticated custom domain. DKIM is shown as "verified" in the dashboard. The product itself is feature-rich, but the technical support I received on this specific issue gave me significant concerns.
After analyzing 35 days of Google DMARC aggregate reports for my domain, it appears that approximately 2.4% of messages sent through my automation pool went out without a DKIM signature.
I then examined the raw headers of 13 messages received in Gmail. Five had no DKIM-Signature header at all, while eight were correctly signed. All 13 were sent from the same account, the same MTA pool, the same IP range, and within the same time window.
Based on the DNS configuration and the authentication status shown in the dashboard, this does not seem to be explainable by a simple customer-side configuration mistake. I believe this requires investigation by ActiveCampaign's technical team into their sending or signing process.
I have provided support with all the information I believe is needed for an investigation: 13 EML files, a side-by-side comparison summary of signed vs. unsigned messages, the relevant Message-IDs, and the MTA pool name.
However, after 7 days and 9 rounds of correspondence, I do not feel that a substantive technical investigation has actually begun. Support has repeatedly asked me to provide reproduction EMLs from a configuration I do not use, or to resubmit evidence I have already submitted. I felt that the nature of the issue was not being fully understood.
An escalation to a senior team has been announced, but at this point I have not received any technical response or findings from a root-cause investigation.
For an email service provider, missing DKIM signatures is a significant issue. With Gmail and Yahoo continuing to tighten their sender requirements, authentication problems directly impact deliverability and trust. The fact that, even after a customer submits detailed evidence, no real investigation appears to have happened in over a week is a serious concern.
ActiveCampaign's product features are powerful. However, for any business sending email today, having messages delivered properly under SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication is no longer optional — it is a baseline requirement. When choosing an email service provider (ESP), I would recommend carefully evaluating how the provider responds to authentication- and sending-related issues before committing.
I will update this review if the issue is properly investigated and resolved.

No more human customer support
After being forced to train AI bots to do their job, the ENTIRE US customer support team was laid off today. Take your money to a more ethical company that still prioritizes human interactions, or have fun dealing with nothing but AI - or maybe an offshore rep for as long as they're kept around - if you need help with your ActiveCampaign account.
It's all about Support or lack of it.
A system as robust or complex as this one is on startup should have live support. Trying to accomplish a task by chatting back and forth is outright stupid. Hire some people, answer your phones, in english.

Horrible Customer Support - Refuse to Refund
I signed up for what I thought was Trial Service with 7 Day trial as advertised on their site
I tried to create an email campaign, but their Online Chat support is restricted to AI and I could not communicate with a human and I was never able to use their service, so I Cancelled (less then 24 hours after paying for the service).. Then they informed me they didn't issue refunds. Then I read online MANY MANY complaints about this Practice of Baiting other customers with their "7 Day Trial" propaganda and then Refusing to Refund.

I've been using AC for about 6 years…
I've been using AC for about 6 years now and as a small business owner, it can do everything I need it to do for a great price. I haven't used anything else (other than Mailchimp many ago) so I don't have a good comparison, but I've been quite happy with the functionality, the ease of use and the customer service (though I've rarely had to use it).
