ADS Smart Home Ltd are a family run business and have been trading for just over 15 years now, although many of our staff and directors have been working in the industry for longer. We cover both domestic and commercial installations and have a major client list stretching from the private, government and development sectors. We now install television with many other avenues of audio-visual and home automation including CONTROL4, Centralised TV systems, sound systems, Wifi and Data connection, CCTV, Alarms and Home Cinema (see our website for full details). All our senior engineers have a minimum of 3 years experience within the trade, in order to provide the best audio-visual installation advice and customer service. All engineers are qualified to work with unlimited height restrictions and are fully insured. Quality Service

I have worked with ADS for over four years. Their products are excellent but what also distinguishes them is their focus on customer service and attention. Importantly this extends beyond the sale and installation. They provide on going support that is reliable and available and it is delivered with a personal touch. A classy operation all round.

Second time of using ADS

Second time of using ADS: first time for wifi cabling and this time for TV problems. They arrived promptly, were friendly and courteous, and quickly diagnosed the problem. Went up onto a difficult roof to replace the aerial, and resolved all the issues. Whilst here, Jamie also did an excellent unexpected job installing an extra cable from my router to my desktop as well, so highly pleased with all they did, and with their customer-focussed approach. Thank you Jamie (and the team). Will certainly use again when/if needed.

I highly recommend this company

Their call out charge was extremely reasonable, and they got the problem fixed in a timely manner. They were also very considerate and took their shoes off without us even asking :)

Excellent service from start to finish!

Finally we have found a company that really are experts in AV and WiFi services. They are helpful, proactive and reasonably priced. This is the second time we have used them - this time for improving our WiFi signal across four floors, consolidating various conflicting signals and tidying up all our TV, PS5, CCtV, Internet cabling. They were excellent in trouble shooting the problem and suggested a few different solutions. Steve has been fantastic throughout the job from initial communication to completion. The whole team is a pleasure - polite, tidy and most importantly very competent. Highly recommended!!

Sky Q Connectivity problems solved

Having experienced technical sky connectivity problems at our St Albans home I got in touch with ADS. A prompt visit from Steve who was extremely professional, and explained a simple to understand solution. Job was completed the following week by two engineers who were polite and very helpful. A very satisfied customer!

Broken TV Aerial

Just had the guys in to replace a broken TV aerial. I was a bit worried if it could be done, as we have a very high roof, but they came in within 24 hours and did a superb job.
Would definitely recommend.

We’ve used ADS for for many jobs…

We’ve used ADS for for many jobs -lighting, cameras, networking. They have been brilliant and very efficient. All the team have been very professional and their aftercare support is excellent

Amazing & Professional experience

An amazing and professional experience. I'd definitely be using ADS Smart Home again!

From initial enquiry with there customer service team. To meeting Steve to survey the property, to the engineering team completing the works. The whole process was seamless, quick and above my expectations.

You should all be proud of yourself, company and work that you do.

AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR…

AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR EQUIPMENT AND WANT ANY AFTER CARE.

After dealing with this firm, I was left with a broken TV, and had a terrible experience dealing with Steve who used every trick in the book to get out of a promise he earlier made to put things right and put up a new TV.

The 4k port on my 65" TV was working well before their first visit to fix Sky TV issues. They fixed those issues but before they finished I was left with a broken TV (no 4K) and the explanation given to me was that "these things can happen". Whilst unacceptable I had no proof. Of course they accepted no blame but Steve agreed to fix up a new TV onto the wall if I ever replaced it. It was the least he could do after what happened and I was in two minds whether to even trust them to do this but I agreed.

I didn't want to buy a new TV but it frustrated me not having 4K so 3 months later I bought a TV and contacted Steve. I made several calls (to his office and mobile). That's when I realised what I was dealing with. He ignored ALL of my calls and didn't speak to me at all. He finally sent me a text to confirm the date they will be back to fix up the new TV.

On that date, his guy came (6 hours later than agreed) to do the job but when he saw the size of the TV (85") he said it was too big and would take "half a day at least". So Steve sent him away and told me he'd estimate the job at £500-600+VAT, and would discount it to £425+VAT. So he had not only left me with a broken TV from the first job, he had gone back on his word to fix up a replacement I had to buy. It was pretty obvious this was going to happen when they guy came into my house as his colleague stayed in the van the whole time.

Dealing with them has been an awful and very stressful experience. It's bad enough what happened and I was left with a broken TV, but Steve has also proven to be very dishonourable and untrustworthy. If I had not used them in the first place my TV 4K port would still be fine and I wouldn't have replaced the TV.

I have since employed a proper firm to do the job of putting up my new TV, which took two hours, was done perfectly, and cost me £85.

Steve's estimate of half a day and to charge me a ridiculous amount of money seemed like a further attempt to get out of honouring his word.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this company if you care about your equipment and want any form of customer service. Steve is also one of those people who is very friendly when you first deal with him but you'd better hope nothing goes wrong as based on how I was treated, customer service and sticking to his word doesn't seem to exist.

Urgent aerial repair

Needed help quickly with aerial repair. Called Steve who was friendly and reassuring that he could help. Came out the same day to survey work and job was carried out then next day. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

Professional, friendly & great service

Popped into ADS's showroom in St Albans on the 9th December, engineers visited on 12th December. Issue was quickly identified, replacement part fitted and we now have a pin sharp picture again on both Sky Q and Freeview HD channels. Great job David, Jamie & Michael!

Smart team for my smart home

Knowledgeable staff who diagnosed my problems and then fitted the new kit at a convenient time. Tied in with BT fitting fibre broadband which was useful. I would happily recommend ADS.
