All-round great service

They replaced 7 windows in our terraced house. The representative was helpful and patient in ensuring we came to the decision that we´d be most happy with. The uPVC sash windows look great and work smoothly. The installation left no mess, was thoroughly and neatly finished off inside and outside, and no redecoration was needed.

We had a problem with a deteriorating…

We had a problem with a deteriorating opening and locking mechanism on our 10 year old bi-fold doors (which were not installed by Aire Valley Glass).
Your engineers kindly agreed to repair the fault, to our great relief they succeeded in the task, which involved a very complex refit operation.
Your engineers (Garry and Bob)proved to be eminently capable, being highly efficient, cheerful and friendly demonstrating a high degree of skill.
Thanks to them we now have a fully functioning door and more importantly a door which now locks and secures our premises.
Thanks again Garry and Bob👍👍👍.

Excellent company to deal with

Just had a replacement bay window fit by Aire Valley Glass and I am really pleased from start to finish. Such a great company to deal with from measuring up to fitting. The man who came to measure up gave his honest opinion and never pushed for a sale and didn't try and sell me something I didn't need. The fitters were so helpful and considerate of my property and covered everything up with dust sheets. They even refitted my blind for me. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole process was really smooth. I highly recommend this company.

Great composite door install

AVG quoted for an Endurance composite door in early November 2023 and installed 23 Jan 2024.

Great price (hint: never get a quote from Anglian unless you have more money than sense), their installer (one guy) turned up at 9.30 and swiftly got the door out and new one installed and finished by 3pm (with really neat finishing trims after squirty foam filling the cavity gaps behind).

Very tidy, polite and professional (and the door is fabulous too).

Could not rate these guys highly enough!

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

AVG fitted new double glazing to our large double fronted house at a very competitive price.
There are three stages to having new windows fitted:

1. The sales pitch. Double glazing salesmen are always your best mate and Mick was charming. But in addition, he knew what he was talking about. He was thoroughly up-to-date with FENSA requirements and the pros and cons of different materials and styles.
2. Survey and measuring. As I watched Robert measuring and making notes, it was clear that there would not be a millimetre of error.
3. The Installation. This is a period property and fitting the new windows to the old stone and woodwork presented a number of challenges. However, Ross and his mate Ben did a sterling job with Ross carefully shaping the new trim to fit the old mouldings.

Unable to leave zero stars and 1 is too…

Unable to leave zero stars and 1 is too generous. Had a quote of £1963. in March 2021 from Dempsey Dyer for a stable door in Accoya hardwood - was unable to progress immediately as they only supply and their recommended local fitters;, Aire Valley Glass, failed to acknowledge or respond to my communications. Having conducted some research on fitting costs and timeframes, it seems £250 to £400 and a few hours is the range for fitting the door.

I revisited this project in August having finally elicited a response from AVG who now quoted me £3240 (no breakdown - only an apparent shakedown) for door supplied by DD and fitted by AVG. If you deduct the upper cost of the aforementioned £400 for fitting, this leaves a cost for the door as £2840 - a whopping £877 more than the original quote which equates to approx 45% increase, either that or AVG are charging appx £1270 to fit the door - a job their rep who measured the door frame at my house said would take ' a morning to get it done '.

I was informed by DD that my earlier quote from March was now invalid and they declined to re-quote and referred me back to their apparent bezzers at AVG claiming ' I would recommend you go through them (AVG) to get the door as our warranty suits a trade customer much better'.

Having requested an explanation regarding the apparent disparity in overall costing and a proper explanation regarding the 'our warranty suits a trade customer much better'', I have received no response.

The response I received from AVG when asked for a breakdown of supply and fitting costs serves as a complete red flag "We don’t provide breakdowns of our pricing, the price quoted will be the total price for the job, supplied and fitted'.

Needless to say, with the total lack of transparency around their comms and inability to get their stories straight, there's no way I'll be doing business with either of them. Especially when I've received far more competitive and reliable quotes from other firms and which also include a full breakdown of the door and fitting costs.

When I decided to get a new hardwood front door, I assumed 'hardwood' related to the density, durability and longevity of the product, it obviously applies to the saga I've endured dealing with these two companies too !

Excellent service

We have used Aire Valley Glass twice, once to replace glass in a bifold door and lately to fix a problem with opening / closing the above door. The last issue was very short notice and Aire Valley glass were able to respond within two hours. On both occasions, their staff were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I would have no hesitation on using this company again, fully recommend the company and their excellent service.
