Reasonable comfort for Ushers

I've been enjoying the AMC9+co, for years. About 2 months ago I wrote a negative review regarding lobby Usher's having to stand all shift while working, it really bothered me. I am pleased to announce the Ushers have chairs again which helps me continue enjoying my experience as I always have. Thank you AMC, for recognizing a problem and taking corrective action. The Ushers have always been appropriately responsive while sitting, thank you again!

WAY TOO MANY PREVIEWS

The theater is great, clean, nice seating…. 30 min of previews is ridiculous!!! Stop all the previews (waste of time) start the movies at show time. We watch previews online so there is no need for this.

This review is not so much to do with…

This review is not so much to do with an actual theater but to do with ordering their promo merchandise. By now everyone has heard and seen all the hype about the Devil Wears Prada 2 popcorn purse! It was promoted SEVERAL months before the movie release on May 1st. Of course the day of the release, those popcorn purses SOLD OUT in minutes. Ok, I was on the “Notify Me” email to do a “Pre-Order” from their website. The website even provided a time in which you could log in and purchase your presale. Ok, signed in right away and 1 minute AFTER their sign in time..SOLD OUT! Ok, you could still order. So I did. Shipping cost was insane by the way. My friend signed on about 5 mins after me to see a LARGE disclosure notice that this item would NOT ship until AUGUST 31st!! So of course she did order. Why would anyone order 5 months after the release of the movie?!! Here is where the bait and switch comes in…I received my confirmation and NOTHING stating the insane ship date, my credit card was charged ( which all online orders I’ve ever made, your CC is charged once the item has shipped) and so I’m thinking my order is on its way. NO!! I thought I would contact AMC customer support and just inquire. They more or less said TOO BAD SO SAD…your order is being shipped at the end of August!! I explained there was NO information when ordering or on my confirmation! NO ONE would order that item so many months after the movies release. And they know it!! And they want me to PAY 5 months of interest on something I DO NOT HAVE!! Their response was unhelpful, RUDE and unwilling to accommodate AT ALL!! They will NOT cancel the order and refund, nor will they reverse the charge and recharge once they actually ship the item. Needless to say I have disputed this charge with my CC. I guess AMC is doing so badly that this was a EASY way to get money. DISGUSTING!!

The theater experience is great, customer service nonexistant

The theater experience is great. The customer service? Not so much. I received a gift card for Christmas. With the gift card was an offer for a free popcorn. All I had to do was go to bonuspopcorn.com and enter my card number. WRONG!!! I have been trying to do this since Christmas. No luck. I go to the website and find no place to enter the card number. I asked the manager at the theater, but he had no idea how to help. I call the customer service number, which is nonexistent. I finally found a way to talk to someone in card services, but she was very abrupt and offered no help. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she just kept reciting the company line. I tried to email the company, but my need was not in their dropdown box, so I could not complete it. And, it seems like if you are not a "paying" Stubs Club member, they don't really want to hear from you. I will continue going to AMC, but only for the movies. I will NEVER put any more money into their coffers. I am totally disgusted with their "customer service."

AMC Experience

I recently visited this theater and had a very positive experience. The facility was clean and well-organized, and the seating was comfortable, which made a big difference during a longer film.
Staff members were courteous and efficient, helping keep lines moving and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The overall environment felt safe and well-managed, and the sound and picture quality were excellent.
What stood out most was the attention to detail in maintaining the space and creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests. I would recommend this theater to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable movie-going experience.

Canceled screening and Did not refund

We hardly go to AMC theatres as we always have bad experiences. We had vouchers, we bought the tickets, and the theater canceled the screening at the last minute. We asked for the tickets for the next show and even for the shows a day after, but their response is that the corporate office has to provide the vouchers. There is no number to contact them except emails. Now we have to wait for three business days for them to respond. It was for my daughter's birthday.

Horrible, painful experience today

Horrible experience today. They start the movie half an hour after showtime, and you are forced to watch horribly boring commercials over and over, Yes, they show the same ones again anad again. The screen was tine, the theater was 90% empty. Large popcorn was $30. Insane ripoff. Unimaginable in any other country. Why do they hate their customers so much? The seats were so uncomfortable. You couldn't sit up straight or even get your legs comfortable because the seats are too low to the floor. I can watch a movie in my home in comfort, for very little money or for free. I will never return to an AMC theater or any other movie theater. And, the movie was awful.

Everything was terrible floors dirty

Everything was terrible floors dirty, bathroom unusable, food far to expensive and poorly done, seats are gross, and then there is no good movies to see that's worth the entrance fee.

P.s. AA stole 99% of my stock as well so **** your theater I'll stay at home.

AMC Theatres is not bad

AMC has paid their bartenders a very low salary, and it's true that tips compensate, but tips are not good at all locations. And, not only that, but AMC's alcoholic drinks are probably the most expensive movie theater alcoholic drinks in the whole world. As a bartender, you really have to be a very strong person to be able to inform guests how much what they want to order costs and to be able to accept many guests punishing you for the high prices by not tipping you. AMC is not going to change anything ever. I'm submitting a review only for the interests of the general public. In my opinion, AMC believes they're the very smart and infallible people and all of us are inferior to them, according to them.
But, I also want to let people know that AMC easily fires their employees. They have their rules and nothing matters to them when they fire people. My advice is to make sure you are fully aware of all you should know. I believe that you can have great experiences working at AMC. Just don't expect them to be understanding if you make a mistake. It's not a bad place to work, really. The best thing for you to do if you work for AMC is to think of your employer as a robot, and it can be a very fun place to work.

We paid $39.00 for popcorn and 2 sodas!!!
We paid 7.99 for each of our tickets which wasn’t bad but when we ordered the popcorn and 2 sodas our final bill was $43.!!!! That is RIDIULOUS! What is wrong with this picture?!? My husband also sat in a seat that had spilled soda and his jeans were soaking wet when he left. We will not go back anytime soon until they get these prices under control and monitor the cleanliness of the seats!
No wonder the theatre was practically empty on a Sunday afternoon!

Poor Programming

AMC is making huge mistakes in selecting and avoiding which Movies to play at what times in which theaters. Previously their programming was very favorable. Many of my friends have now unsubscribed from their A-list as a result. I used to love AMC Theaters but not any more.

AMC POPCORN BUCKET GONE AS OF 2026

I have been an AMC Stubs member for several years. My wife and I are semi retired and go to watch about every movie that comes out at our local AMC theater. We spend alot of money there buying all the concession stuff etc. One thing we always did though was we buy the annual popcorn bucket at the beginning of each year. It started out about 15 to 20 dollars 5 years ago. It was a plastic bucket and you could bring it in and get a bucket of popcorn for about 5. Normally a large popcorn is about 11 dollars so it was a good deal especially as much as we went. Now tonight Jan 3rd we just went to the AMC and found something out that has just ruined it for me with them. They have now gotten rid of the plastic popcorn bucket. They have substituted it for another so called popcorn deal. You now have to pay basically 30 dollars and (if ) your an AMC stubs member they put that info on your account and you can buy popcorn for half price. This is what disturbs me about this. First they are now charging more money for the previous deal. Next you get no nice bucket with a lid to put your popcorn in and take home if you dont eat it all and 3rd they aren't offering the deal to anyone but AMC Stubs members. Now yes I am a Stubs member so I can buy the deal but now what about the thousand or millions of people that would normally buy the bucket deal every year to save a little money but now if you don't pay for that 25 dollar monthly AMC Stubs deal you can't get the
popcorn deal. It. Is a way to try and corerce more people in paying for the Stubs memberships but guess what. Its not gonna happen. People's not gonna pay 25 dollars each month for a Stubs membership per person to get a little discount on their popcorn. Not gonna happen. Also one of the employees told me themselves that lots of people would buy the popcorn bucket deals for family members for Christmas and birthday gifts but guess what. Can't do that now unless you pay 25 dollars a month for a Stubs membership. Leave it up to a bunch of stupid ass corporate people to screw up a good thing. I hope this back fires so much for them. These companies can't leave well enough alone.

AMC Theatres Avoids Letting You Cancel Membership

AMC Theatres makes it difficult to CANCEL your paid membership!! I've been trying since Dec. 2nd, 2025 to log in and cancel before auto-renewal date on Jan 1, 2026, but it wouldn't allow me even though I left several messages with customer service.

Closed-Caption Devices Unreliable

The front desk, ticket takers & all the theater staff are gracious, helpful and nice.it is NOT thr employees i write about.

My complaint concerns their closed caption devices for the hearing impaired that fit into the cupholders in seat armrests. They often don’t work. I’ve often had to get up during a movie to go to the lobby to replace them. Yesterday, I believe the problem was no signal in the auditorium. This technology is flawed. Please AMC update it for us regular movie goers. My experiences with it make me less likely to go to the theatre rather than wait to stream a movie, and I love going to the movies.

Customer.

Went to the Eastcase #9, Ft. Worth Tx. On December 24th, 2025. Customer service was horrible, ordered one alcoholic drink before my movie started. Paid for my drink, along with a tip. Then told I wasn't allowed to have that drink. Never going back to any AMC again.

Outrageous, could've been way better

They charged us around 63 dollars just for a large drink, 3 small popcorns, and 8 fried cheese sticks... Atleast the movie experience was okay-ish, the movie was shaking the floor as a big footstep happened or some loud noise played. That was immersive and definitely earns a star, but the ads just ruined the hype I had! I understand it's costly to maintain a whole buisness, but they had maybe 20 or 30 ads play total, BEFORE-before the beginning of the film.. This was something I'm honestly used to, I don't pay for YT Premium and I watch a lot of ads, but the second layer of ads truly broke me- maybe 1 to 2 minute full ads for other movies, after you think it's finished, just more and more come.. and they're as loud as the movie itself! Loud ass rumbling left and right, when the first movie ad played, I almost actually stood up and started leaving lmao-
